Hey guys, I know we've had similar discussions in this forum but not this one so I'll just go straight to the point. What are the factors that determines the launchpools you participate in..

These days we've seen launchpools increasinging rampant now with several rules attached.. currently across top3-4 exchanges they're some, like OBOL, OLP and some I can't remember rn.. so what factors propel you to stake your money. Is it APR, project team, launchpool span or entry threshold?.  And how often do you get successful with these kinda initiatives.

Entry threshold, I'm sure the exchange has done due diligence on their own so I don't really put too much effort into looking at the coin itself but more focused on figuring out whether the launchpool is too diluted or not.
If the pool reward is just $500k for example and there are billions of dollars worth of stable coin and some other crypto staked, then I just leave it, at best you'll get peanut.

But if the entry is limited and there's cap. It can have good reward. I can say i'm pretty successful with launchpool but you don't expect 1k out of 1k investment, usually the ROI is just like 5% or somewhere around that.

Firstly i only participate in Launchpools of projects i plan to hold. This way the price action through the launchpool period doesn't faze me.
The project's community and team are also massive factors since they are a big decider of whether i hold or not.
I also factor in exchanges, for OBOL I actually caught it early on Bitget and their reward pool was impressive

To be honest, if I have spare then I'd just stake it so that it is moving with some potential profits from those tokens in rewards of the launchpools. I don't have strict requirements if I'd do it or not because who knows if they're profitable and some thing comes out valuable from them. Other than that, if there is an available one, I'd just do it but at most times, I don't see them anymore when these launchpools are already done and currently on float waiting for some new projects to come.

Going for launch pool investment is something that has its own different risk involved a d we may not apply same approach as we give other coins to some of these projects, knowing well that both of you are for the same objective, which is to maximize making profits through the project investment, check on the market place cap, project feasibility and any other important or valuable information needed to know about the developers before going into any.

I would say, fame? I mean if something is famous and known by all, it's big enough, known enough, then yeah I am going to do fine about it and feel ease. But if it is something I google and something else comes up? I am sorry but I am not putting up my money to it.

So it has to have some organic following, something that makes it a bit more famous, something that makes it better. If it has that, then I check it's whitepaper, but nothing without that huge organic real community, would get my money so that is the first thing. Then yeah, whitepaper, roadmap, they all matter but those are second in importance. After those, if it has all those in place, then yeah I may invest, there are still cases where I don't even with all of that, but that's rare.
Being organic and then popular seems a good combo already. You can save time for not checking out other info anymore but I think there are also those that aren't popular but still has the potential. They can be called like a hidden gem. For this, you need to check their white paper, and the likes.. to figure them out. I guess the rare occasion that you won't invest is if you don't have a money yet, or you think you have invested on many great projects already. But that's fine. There is no need to be greedy for more, as being greedy will only lead us to a problem instead.

That's true, organic and popularity. I guess that's why I'm leaning towards participating in RDAC launchpool

The project is trending all over twitter due to it's bid to accelerate web3 startups and monetize content creation properly.. good take all rounder though.

We can roughly estimate the worth of the allocation, there's always pre market before listing so you can calculate.
If you think your capital is too low for a launchpool, better not join it because it's waste of money.
as far as I know you got dust if you staked less than $30k and im not even kidding here.

Yeah bro, honestly it really depends, but for me it’s usually a combo of a few things. First off, the **project itself** — if it looks solid and the team isn’t some anon ghost crew, I’m way more likely to jump in. I try to avoid stuff that just looks like a quick pump & dump.

APR is cool, but I’ve learned not to chase it blindly. Some of the highest APR ones end up being total trash, so I’d rather get a lower return on something legit.

Pool duration matters too — I prefer shorter ones so my funds aren’t tied up forever. And yeah, **entry threshold** is a big one... if I need to stake a crazy amount just to get crumbs, I’m probably out.

Success rate? Mixed bag tbh. Some were solid (like a couple on Binance last year), others were just mid or went straight down after launch. Gotta be picky these days, there's way too many launchpools popping up everywhere.

What about you? You had any recent wins?
