This is seriously freaky to even consider.  The thought of a full-scale war between India and Pakistan, with the nuclear weapons both got, makes me shudder.  Living here in Europe, so far away from that area it still seems like something that could screwy things up across the world.   

You are right, just the economic mess alone would be a train wreck, and not just for India and Pakistan neither, but the whole Asian continent and more and  the mucking up of trade infrastructure, and simply the human expense of lost jobs would be massive.  Im not claiming to be no expert on this stuff.  But sure seems to me like some kinda peace should kinda be a priority. This attack on tourists was well planned by Indian agencies as they were all prepared for having some conflict with Pakistan and after killing innocent peoples their media started as usual against Pakistan with quickly Modi government announces about Water treaty and started their proxy war.
They were expecting some good response from world but as usual things not gone as expected, and they also faced serious loses while Pakistani Air Force started their campaign which was more heartbroken for them after having this response today few hours back Donald Trump announces both parties are agreed about ceasefire which is good.

Possibly retaliating through nuclear weapons while living close to the enemy's doors. How isn't it nonsense? Nobody should remain silent when having its dignity and self respect harmed, but at same time, it's a must to act wisely in a way they don't destroy themselves... There must be alternatives before escalating this conflict to that extreme level.

And it seems to be already happening. USA intervened, so India and Pakistan declared a cease fire for a month. If it will last or not, only time will tell. With the lack of credibility international diplomacy has nowadays, nothing should be discarded.

Neither country would come out of this successfully. Both will have a lot of military equipment destroyed but the civilian population would be likely to suffer in collateral damage. Pakistan does need to renounce it's support and assistance for terrorist groups - they freely admit they've given them such support but claim it doesn't include military help (which is obviously untrue). Along with the waste, it's also going to create some humiliating losses on both sides because while India has pulled ahead economically in recent years, they are both still rocking a lot of outdated tech and are closer in combat skills than either would like to admit.
