What you have said is not something new that people should be worried with, or we should say specifically the gamblers should. Because even without that realization that you've said, we all know that gambling has pros and cons. Or mostly, it's going to give us more losses in the long run. You're actually not going against thousands of people, you are going against the house/casino. Depending on you're gambling increases or decreases your odds of winning. Different games have different house edges basically.
