In my opinion, having a reserve balance for gambling can be a bad idea. If we are not the type of person who is able to control ourselves. If you are like that, then the answer is, you better deposit according to the limit that you are willing to spend and stop after that. The concept of reserve balance can be deceiving, because you will feel free, and not aware of the loss limit. Maybe without realizing it, when you lose, you will thinking about, "There are still reserve to continue play once again," even though it has actually passed the limit. But, if you are able to control yoursef, and able to manage your expense, you are able to try, with any risk, like losing it all. the best way not from reserve, but know your limit.

It depends on the gambler in question. Gamblers that gambles occasionally, only need to make deposit of the amount that they have intended to use for gambling at that moment. On the other hand, if you're a gambler that gambles weekly, it's good that you have a gamble budget. That doesn't mean that when you deposit your weekly gambling budget, you should exhaust it once and refill it again.

If you have exhausted your gambling budget in one session, it's better you don't refill it till the next week. I gamble whenever I feel like with my gambling budget which can be called my reserve. If I don't have interest on gambling, I leave my funds in my account. Discipline and self control is good as a gambler.

There should be a budget for it. Doing so is called accurate cashflow management. You should set aside some percentage of your money for gambling if you're a gambler. Mine is 3% of my earnings and I furthermore try to spread that budget across my gambling days until I get the next deposit.

It's good to have a budget since you can tend to overspend and cut across monies kept for expenses or other useful things. It's sometimes challenging to keep accurately to the budget, but it serves as a benchmark to guide you so you don't mess up your finances.

i don't understand exactly what a “reserve balance” is. i think you mean a certain balance for gambling that is always there.

no, i usually take what i want to take or not. i probably never just leave my money there. if i win i withdraw my money, if i don't win i don't ask for more. on gambling sites i guess having your money there saves you the time and commission of investing at different times. but i usually ignore it.

in the end, you never know, it's better to keep our money in our wallet.

All will depend on the habits of the gambling activities carried out. There are some gamblers who might do it, maybe dividing their money allocation for two or even three deposits. But for me, I don't need a reserve balance to refill when it's all gone. Although it can be limited, it's just that maybe starting to get used to rejecting the results of defeat and starting to chase what has been lost in the next deposit.

It appears that some gamblers do need that so that is why many reputable casinos offer the Vault option so the gambler can put some of the winnings there and keep playing with the original deposit they did. This helps a lot psychologically for such gamblers as when they put their winnings in the Vault they simply don't care much then what happens to their original balance that they have deposited. Other than this I see no need for such reserve option like the Vault as gamblers remain gamblers and they will always use as much money as they have in their power. Bad experience really that is Real why I asked this question is because of my recent gambling activities, before now I withdraw almost 80% of my signature earnings, and leaving 20% as a weekly gambling budget, but in recent time I have no need for money so most weeks I now have big left over or untouched balance on my wallet and this have lead me into increasing both my gambling budget and also my time consumption in gambling, so really will need a d line to read what others think about this situation.

Why not? Everything is all about proper planning and getting a reserve Ballance as a gambler is also another way of effective utilisation of your resources such that you gamble within your reach. It's just like setting out an emergency fund or allocating an amount for your investment so you become cautious of how you're making your expenses. The merit of doing so far surpasses the demerit of doing it. The demerit can be that you're paying too much detail to your gambling lifestyle but the effect of not doing so might result in gambling addiction.

If for instance I budget a maximum of $20 for my monthly gambling and keep it in a separate account, what that does for me is that If I'm disciplined enough, I'm going to be restricted by the allocation I've made which is going to in a way help me gamble more responsibly and do so within a set out budget.

the real problem is: what to do after you have lost your reserve balance? how many you want to have?
moreover... why you ended with no balance? If you're playing in a wise mode avoiding big bets and avoiding to not play according your wallet you don't need any reserve.

For me, in gambling there is no need for a reserve fund. If you want to play, just bring the required amount of money that can be expected to last the usual time to play.
Indeed, the time depends on the level of luck that makes the balance last.
Because the focus is on experience, I only place sports bets. From the rest of the balance, then I devoted to slot games.

Not necessary that you need a reserve balance; it depends on your preferences and gambling habits. if you have a lot of time to play, it's better to just make a deposit based on what you can afford to lose.

If you have limited time, then a reserve balance is good, so you will not have to deposit, which will consume your time, and it will get you started right away. It always boils down to gambling with money that you can afford to lose.

Based on my point of view and my from my little experience, I don't consider keeping a reserve funds for gambling, immediately I make a deposit and gamble with it, even when I lose all of them I will walk away and continue some other time. IMO this will make you more disciplined. It's like planning everything before gambling, this is a practical move to secure funds and be consistent on what you like to do which is gambling. Just use the specific amount of money you expect to be gone in a minute, it's better that way than using majority of your funds and might have a problem later. You don’t want to end up touching money meant for bills or food just because you got carried away. Having that reserve keeps you disciplined in money, aware of your financial status and stops you from losing money.

It is better, in my personal opinion, to have a reserve balance to gamble. You can also call it a gambling budget, as I do.
It is good to keep track on our personal expenses on casinos and not to over-spend when we are not supposed to, for example, when we have some extra bills to pay or when we plan to buy something important, like a new computer, a new TV, or whatever.

If you just deposit at your will and whim whatever money you feel to be suitable onto the casino, then you are giving up some control on your personal finances and making it more difficult to reach your other financial objectives. Because in the end of the day, we all have objectives outside of our gambling life and those need to be reached with the help of money and financial stability.

IMO, it's important to have an actual budget or balance fo gambling only. And so we're going to touch the other money that we have allotted for other important things. If you just do deposits and gamble away with that, it's also okay for as long as it is not threatening your budget for the other expenses that you need to attend to.
