I was watching a video on the neighboring network, where a young asked the following question:

What have you lost the most money on and still regret it to this day?

So I looked at the comments and most people said that they regret losing their own money on bets, and one of them even lost 30 thousand.

So this topic came to my mind with the current question: Have you ever lost money in any way and still regret it to this day? Have you ever gambled or bet and still feel guilty? If so, tell us a little bit... If possible, give us more specific advice on how to gamble without losing a large amount.

It still makes me go crazy when people will say that they have lost money the most on gambling, I think this is just psychological because before gambling they already believe the money is gone even before the event has taken place. I know a guy who spent huge money on buying a car that he only drove for a few weeks before it broke down but he would still say that gambling is where he has lost money the most.
Even people who have lost a lot on failed relationships, scammers and other things will still claim that gambling is where they have lost money the most, I will even go further even drug, alcohol, gaming addicts will still claim.
The truth is that psychologically people feel better when they blame gambling for their situation.

It is easy to gamble without losing large amounts. Just don’t make big bets. If you don’t play, you can’t lose. Be a responsible gambler. Know your limits. Know when to stop.

If you can’t do that, obviously you have a serious problem that needs to be treated quickly.

I remember I lost a few thousand dollars years ago and I was so sad about it. I learned my lesson afterwards and I have been making smaller bets ever since. It was the best decision I made probably.

My biggest regret is when I won a lot of money during a Saturday afternoon only using the bonus that the casino gave me and I managed 23 dollars of that bonus to make about 3500 dollars and greediness got the best out of me and lost it all. I regret the fact that I was an idiot and instead of withdrawing 2000 dollars and then not caring much what would happen to my remaining balance I felt stronger and a stupid courage made me play with 100 dollars buy bonuses which led me to losing all of the money in a few hours. That is my biggest regret as having being gifted over 3000 dollars as this is what I call such an easy win that I had and got and throw them into trash thanks only to my stupidity. That day I have felt the biggest or one of my biggest sadness in my life when it come to financial status.

People who feel regret after losing in gambling, are usually people who gamble with money that they are not ready to lose. Like borrowed money, or money that should be used for other purposes, is actually used for gambling.

Regret arises because when someone gambles with borrowed money, and loses. They will regret having to pay debts for the money they lost, which they did not even have time to enjoy, other than to satisfy their gambling desires. and so when you gamble with a certain amount of money that is clearly intended for daily needs, when you lose then you will regret it, because the money has been lost you have to think again about how to meet those needs, and in the end you imagine, "if only I had not gambled, maybe I would not have debt and my needs would have been met"

What do you expect from gambling?
You can't gamble without incuring loses and there is no guarantee with any game you stake to always come as positive while gambling.

Anyone who always regrets whenever their game loses are not yet really ready to gamble because, as a gambler you must be prepared for any loses and when it happens that your games aren't going as planned there should be no day you regret because when you win you don't also regret for winning instead you rejoice for the winning.

To me it's important to gamble with the amount that is able to risk than gambling with a huge amount where if you lose the bet you began to regret, gambling is just to stake with the least you know is that possible for you to lose.

I don't regret losing my money when I was gambling because I know that gambling your money isn't guaranteed that you will be able to double it or even triple it so it's only natural to think that some people would think that they doesn't have any regret losing money in gambling like I did. As others have said that if a person still have regrets in losing money then that person should ask for help to get out of that situation.

What I regret the most is "getting to know gambling," because once you enter the world of gambling, it feels quite difficult to get out of it. Although it all depends on how we view gambling and also depends on our control over gambling itself, but from what I experienced, after I got to know gambling and betting, it felt quite difficult to be able to manage finances well. And even though I usually don't have debts, now I have a number of debts to my friends and relatives in order to be able to meet my needs and expenses to go to work, this can happen because sometimes I behave carelessly where the money that should be used to buy necessities and expenses, I actually use the money to gamble.

A few years back I put a significant portion into a crypto token based simply on hype without doing sufficient research and it tanked badly. It wasn’t gambling in the classic sense but felt just as perilous. The regret hit me not simply because of the money but because I rejected my gut. Since then I always establish a fixed amount I can afford to lose before putting any bet or investment. It helps mentally to approach it like a movie ticket or night out money. Once it's gone, it's gone and no chasing losses.

Rather than feeling sympathy for this, I think I will curse people who do feel regret when they have felt the loss because of gambling.
I know that in the end regret will always come at the end but in this case are they not aware that they made a very big mistake before but did not try to stop and control themselves? Gambling from the start is a risk and in this case loss is something that can be a certainty so gambling will be done as long as we can overcome the losses we have.

If from the start they were aware that their capacity was poor in self-control and regretted it after doing it, in the end why try from the start, especially with a large amount, we know that gambling is about luck so why try to bet with a nominal amount of money that we cannot afford to lose just because it depends on luck.
The mistakes they made themselves, the regrets they felt themselves and when they had money they would gamble again and regret it again after losing. For me that is a very ridiculous condition.

Overall, I do regret gambling. There’ve been so many times where, after a big loss, I’d feel that heavy regret. But guess what? Here I am, still gambling, because deep down, I still love it.

If I’m being specific, I regret it most when I can’t control myself. Like, I’ve already hit my limit, but I keep going... chasing losses.

I invested in some stupid crypto called Grin because I thought it was going to be supported by the community.  It was the only shitcoin ever peddled officially by this forum so it seemed like it could be a real winner.  Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst investment decision I ever made and it isn't even close.  The only thing I got out of that experience was knowing that grifters had infiltrated this community at the highest levels and nobody could really be trusted when it comes down to money.

In my early days after joining crypto I have done few mistakes which ruined me and I regret about these things but after sometimes I change mindset and also have changed in strategy which helps me now I never regret about loses in gambling because I am doing with stuff which is not important for me.
Losing own money always problems but after setting budget and having things sorted out cleanly its always fun to play gambling because this give some excitement and extra money which also helps keep playing gambling for fun is good feeling and surely never been pain in the ass.
Mostly staying in sports betting good because here things are much better to manage instead of going into casino games which no strategy just luck always needed, and my luck never helps me in casino.

Me too. When I was new to gambling, I should have withdrawn the majority of my winnings which I now regret. What I regret the most is turning a few sats into 0.5 btc in less than a week. I ended up going all in with that 0.5 btc, the highest amount I’ve ever had and won in a single go and I lost it all. If only I had kept the majority of my winnings and just deposited a small amount each time I came back to play, maybe I could have bought all the things I wanted by now like a house, lot, cars, and more.

i have lost a huge amount of money that whenever i think about it, i keep regretting. but then i console myself because whatever happens in the past should be in the past and dont need to affect my happiness in the future. and this loss i had was not a gambling loses. in summary i dont feel guilty about any loses. there is  no need to remember some sad moment as it may bring back some bad days that has been forgotten. some story are left untold. and mean while whoever need to learn will learn without hearing such stories, as such story has been repeated and yet people have not changed.

Didnt really regret losing money. I have regretted a few bets before though due to the sheer overconfidence that I had lol.

Anyhow bets are a type of thing you shouldn't feel guilty or regret about. If you are, that simply means you spent waaayyy well over your means , and that's honestly on you. I've never regretted gambling ever after I started managing my funds and finances properly

I think that most of us went through with that. We've lost some money and we still think about it today and regretted that we've gambled.

Not all of the time I gambled largely. But even so, with smaller amounts if they're consolidated and calculated on how much I've lost already then it will be a big amount of money in my lifetime.

If possible, give us more specific advice on how to gamble without losing a large amount.

Budgeting is important and I think status in life also helps that we control how much we spend in gambling. If you're a gambler that keeps on gambling with huge amount, put your cryptos into a hardware wallet so that it won't make you withdraw them.

Do you think it's psychological? Because I think very differently. People have their savings and should think first before spending everything, EVERYTHING, on gambling. It's not ideal to invest everything you have in a game. Don't they think about their family or what they might need in the future? Honestly, it makes me sad when people don't think about situations they don't think about, especially in the future.
