Honestly, I haven't really looked at Bisq 1.

You should give it a chance.  Everything you outlined that you don't like about Bisq2 is a non-issue in Bisq

Are you saying that the first version isn't considered outdated by the community, but is instead just a separate platform? If that's the case, then Bisq 2 seems like a rather unfortunate name - it makes it sound as if it replaced Bisq 1, which is quite misleading.

Correct, Bisq1 (or just plain Bisq to be technical,) is the main platform, and it's far from outdated.  In fact, it has far more users than Bisq2.  Bisq2 is the easier-t-use platform for novices and people who only occasionally need small amounts of bitcoin and want to avoid the CEXs.

It is an unfortunate set of nomenclature circumstances, indeed.  You're not the first to be confused by the naming convention, and unlikely to be the last.  I always thought the better name would be Bisq Light, but I guess that sounds too much like a cheap American beer.

I never used bisq 2. But this is not true for Bisq 1.

You are probably wrong, but why don't you switch to bisq 1? It isn't hard to use.

You can create your orders. And there isn't much spread. It may depends on the fiat currency you are trading, but you can always switch USD or EUR or some other pair which will have more volume and basically no spread.
Honestly, I haven't really looked at Bisq 1. Technically I did see it back when it was still called BitSquare, but I wasn't impressed at the time. A few months ago, when I searched Google for Bisq, I came across Bisq 2 and assumed it was simply the current version of Bisq. I looked through the offers, didn't like the exchange rates, tried to create my own, realized that wouldn't work, figured out what I'd need to do to make it work, and then just gave up and closed it.

Are you saying that the first version isn't considered outdated by the community, but is instead just a separate platform? If that's the case, then Bisq 2 seems like a rather unfortunate name - it makes it sound as if it replaced Bisq 1, which is quite misleading.

The exchange rate is not bad in Bisq. What payment method are you looking for?

Right now, people are buying with 0.01%, 0.03% discount for SEPA instant payment.

Nobody is selling in Euro Now. but on USD you can find plenty of offers with good price:

I think you just need to take a further look into details and payment methods.

The exchange rate is not bad in Bisq. What payment method are you looking for?
Basically, what I need is a card-to-card transfer (Visa Direct, MasterCard MoneySend). Such offers appear rarely, so I usually post an offer myself.

By the way, here's an interesting observation. These methods are quite convenient, and people are willing to use them (otherwise no one would respond to my offers), but for some reason offers with these payment methods are very uncommon.

I also need some specific domestic Russian payment methods. But considering the extremely low popularity of Bisq in Russia, I definitely wouldn't go to Bisq for such exchanges.

Well,  that is the reason for the bad rates you are talking about. You want a very specific payment method, which isnt popular in bisq.

I have never used, bht i believe Card to card  transfers have some fees ... this is how visa makes money (and they do make a lot of money).

Cant you use revolut or any European bank that accepts sepa? There are many online banks in europe.

I don't see those payment methods available in Bisq, so it makes me assume they can easily be reversed which might explain why you're seeing high fees when you see these offers in Bisq2.

By the way, here's an interesting observation. These methods are quite convenient, and people are willing to use them (otherwise no one would respond to my offers), but for some reason offers with these payment methods are very uncommon.

Unfortunately, convenience can be expensive.

According to google, neither Revolut nor SEPA are available in Russia.

A quick google search shows that Russia has a digital remittance service of their own; SBP (Fast Payment Service,) but at the moment I don't see any buy or sell offers for Rubles in Bisq.  SBP is listed as one of the payment types in Bisq, so maybe internetional can be the first to start a trend.

Honestly it is frustrating when we cannot make use of a platform without going through the kyc regular procedures, also we need more of the platforms that does not support for user information and guarantee for privacy, that is why the use of decentralized exchange is more often the next option we can fall back at, using bisq baby the next available option for us, but I'm not surprised that a number of users are not found using them in some geopolitical region, and the overall experience of this .at not be encouraging, compared to other centralized exchange.

I know, but I would use other currency if I were in this situation. Personally, I don't mind receiving payments in USD or EURO, even living in Brazil (actually I even prefer, as those currencies are much better than BRL).

But I don't know how easy it is to convert EURO to RUB.... and if the person really need to do so.
