Major League Baseball Reinstates Pete Rose, Joe Jackson, and others…

The ban has been lifted. Major League Baseball has reinstated Pete Rose & Shoeless Joe Jackson after banning them for life for betting on baseball games. This should land the both of them in the Hall Of Fame. A much deserved honor. As gambling becomes more commonplace, I’m glad that history is correcting its mistakes.

After all these years the ban has been lifted.
I think the ban was lifted due to the effectiveness of the newest policy that was introduced by the recent MLB commissioner Rob Manfred. It states that "all deceased individuals on the league's permanently ineligible list were posthumously reinstated". A total of 17 historic figures were banned for their alleged involvement in gambling related activities.
Now that the ban is lifted while they are deceased what will the hall of fame mean to them and their families?

I’m not really a follower of MLB, but I’ve heard the name Pete Rose in a movie before, must be a pretty popular guy.

So they were betting on games and got caught?
I’m sure there are plenty of players doing the same thing… they’re just smart enough not to get caught. 

One player I remember who recently got banned in the NBA was Michael Porter Jr.’s brother. And, that one was in the NBA.
