But my question is how does the casino know how much money I have the ability to lose
Through kyc. If they ask for supported documents of your financial accounts and statements then that's one way for knowing how much you can lose on their casino. I don't think Casino is asking for your financial statements or payslips; that's personal. The requirements for KYC are only submitting your ID as proof that you are in the legal age. and if they don't know this, how do they enable Temporary account suspension or the Cooling-off periods on my account?
It's probably in the platform's policy that if someone has lost a lot of money in a short period of time, then this cooling off periods are going to trigger the alarm on your account. And with that, that's how they're setting it for yourself. It might be tricky to think that they shouldn't do that so they can continue to earn from their user. But it is a must that they also need to help their users control their spending habits when they're mostly losing all of their bets. I've experienced this, not in a Casino, but I guess everything in crypto right now that involves risk has this feature. If you lose a large amount and lose all whole capital on that casino, it will automatically ask you to cool off for a few days. Based on my experience, it's a 1-week cool-off period, and then they let me play again. They added this feature because I think it calms down your mind. Losing is not fun, and it leads to frustration. You must change your habits for one or two weeks to change your mindset, because casinos right now avoid the revenge bets that usually happen if someone loses a big amount. Isn't it a cool feature? For me, this is awesome feature to prevent further losses due to emotionally angry, frustrated, and desperate to recover your loses.

Payslips and financial statements? Those can be easily faked. I’ve had a casino ask for my bank statement before, and honestly, any site that does that feels shady to me. It’s like they’re using KYC as a legal excuse to deny your winnings. You're a player with money, you joined to play, that’s the only relationship that should matter. And when you win, they should pay. Simple as that. Unless they're asking that from everyone as part of a clear, fair policy, and not just singling you out, then yeah, might be acceptable It's super sketchy. Best to stay away from casinos pulling those moves. (minimize the risk while you can)

For self - exclusion if they mean the same thing with the others is that, you have to apply for it. It is not the casinos that automatically selects your account to have it applied to you based on your gambling habits but rather you apply and they approve your request for self exclusion for that period of time.

We are all probably familiar with the terms "Temporary account suspension", "Cooling-off periods", "Self-exclusion" by now because almost every casino now implements such features to support responsible gambling.
I personally have used this temporary account suspension feature, of course after a big loss in a short period of time, at that time the feeling of resentment and anger was still inside, not accepting the defeat experienced, had the thought of returning the previous loss by making a loan so that it could return to gambling, fortunately a friend realized that this was not healthy, suggesting to disappear from gambling temporarily for the sake of sanity. Although it is difficult at first because of still thinking about losing, being under great pressure for a few days, away from society. However, in the end, it will be better than gambling emotionally.

The amount of money you are capable to lose does not matter to them, but it's the repetitive behavior you have shown in the casino that will call their attention, and suspend your account temporarily if your actions are already leading towards gambling addiction. And once your account is fine again, you can bet again following their own terms and conditions so that you won't end up getting suspend again.

The casino may learn about the client's excessive losses. If it sees repeated losses of large amounts. If this happens often. Then the common ethics of the casino is to offer to adhere to responsible gaming. Although in general the casino is interested in the player leaving them more money, nevertheless the casino is not interested in the player's gambling addiction and the problems that may be associated with it. We see that before our eyes the ethical evolution of the casino is happening and they themselves strive to maintain much higher standards. Responsible gaming is one of these standards.

Huh? I'm confused. Do you mean it automatically triggers for some, especially those who lost a lot? I didn't know about it or even hear of it. I know there is such a feature 'cause I've used it as well, and it kinda helps. I've used it on sites where I play, but I didn't know the site or support can activate it if they detect unusual behavior for you to cool off. Isn't that feature supposed to be activated by yourself before you play so that you can limit yourself forcibly? If they really have that feature as well, then it's favorable to gamblers, especially to those constantly losing big amounts.

I haven't seen or experience yet this kind of feature that not allowing the players to make play with their casino because of too much excessive playing of gambling most likely its an account temporary on hold due to reason of possible against with the term and condition. The casino has its monitoring support or I guess a system generated function to identify its gambling activity such as wage, wins, deposits and withdrawals so they can easily monitor which players has their top wins and losses of course. If ever there's a kind of feature like this could be active once players gets much spends. Most likely its just a button like "isDisabled" on their back-end.

From searching on Google or other search engines, I also can't find a casino that explicitly states it will restrict accounts to help responsible gambling on its own. All responsible gambling features are activated by the players. "Temporary account suspension" feels like something they will do to restrict scammers or abusers on their platform, too. Anyway, not sure if automatic trigger is a good idea, especially if they're not being transparent about it.

I think they're just tools similar to the stop-loss tools found in CEX features, where you have the option to stop your loss at a certain level, but you can either use them or ignore them.
I think these tools are similar to those found on gambling sites. They may know from your history how much you can afford to lose, so they activate account suspensions or cool-off periods measures to give you a chance to catch your breath instead of continuing to lose. This is a really good feature.

Temporary account suspension is from the casino where they found you doing something suspicious. But if that is self-exclusion, you need to activate that feature for yourself and not because casino ask you doing that.
The casino will not know how much you can spend and lose because that will be your responsibility to manage your money. If you think you can not handle yourself, you can take a break from gambling and use self-exclusion feature on that casino. I never used that feature but the benefit is you can reduce your gambling activity a lot. But that will depend on yourself.

I can't defend this because it has never happened to me but temporarily on suspension isn't always about gambling responsibly, like do you think that casinos cares this much? I don't believe so, unless you activate the restriction yourself since some online casinos have this feature available. You can be on suspension due to your winning rate, if your percentage of winning on the casino is higher it will become noticeable and they will put your account on restriction, some will even not process your withdrawal right away, they will feel like you might be hiding something. Your account might me on severe investigation and you might not be notified until later.

I have never used such functions of online casinos. I try to play responsibly and limit the amount of money I spend on gambling. At the same time, I am aware of the presence of such functions in most online casinos.
Online casinos are often accused of being unethical businesses. In my opinion, businesses should not be ethical, the goal of any commercial organization is to maximize profits.... This is also the main goal of online casinos.
However, as we can see, online casinos do not seek to earn money at any cost. That is why they support the concept of responsible gaming. Their position is that a player should not lose too much money.
To do this, they use special algorithms that analyze the game by many parameters and identify players who act irrationally, showing signs of gambling addiction.

I don’t have the details for this as I have never used the feature and it is their duty to educate on responsible gambling but do you think they are really restricting someone from quitting. Of course not because they are running a business and the risks that will be generated are up to the users themselves who are responsible or not in the gambling they do. But my question is how does the casino know how much money I have the ability to lose, and if they don't know this, how do they enable Temporary account suspension or the Cooling-off periods on my account? In detail they probably don’t know how much money you have spent on their site and the casino will never care how much money you have spent. It’s the same as the writing on cigarette packs and they remind people who are addicted to cigarettes but they never care how much money you have spent to buy them.
