The scams in this tracker are based on consumer complaints. They represent descriptions of losses incurred in transactions that complainants have identified as part of a fraudulent or deceptive operation. The DFPI has not verified the losses reported by complainants. As new scams emerge, the DFPI will update this list on an ongoing basis to alert and protect the public. If you hear about a scam that is not listed here, please let us know by submitting a complaint.

I came across this Crypto Scam Tracker that was recently updated on: May 9, 2025 @ 1:36 pm. I think it will be useful for all especially newbies to go through and see the kind of scam people have gone through in crypto and also to submit complaint that they have on a likely scam they almost got cut in or their friends, just like if you see something you say something and the crypto scam can be reduced. So it has an area for complaint so that others can learn from your experience too.

At least I know once a platform is requesting for tax before withdrawal of your fund with them either through your trade profit that is not withdrawal fee which is usually less than a dollar in btc value or $1 in usdt then you can be sure a scam is on the way.

I don't know the authenticity of this crypto scam but from experience scammers are known to claim to be a Crypto recovery institution that one to help someone that was just scammed but they are just scammers coming in for the kill. I know this may be different but I am bringing it up so you and other newbies can be aware that just because something looks like the good guy doesn't mean it should not be properly vetted.
Be careful with all this tools if you are not sure of the source then I highly recommend you avoid it.

Since there is no place to sign up or link whatsoever, i don't think there is any threat with the site, i consider it a good initiative, it's just a site to complain about issues, read stories from other victims. People who would use this site should avoid any party interference after sending mails, nobody will help you resolve any issue if the scam work has be done, one funds are moved from wallet their is no recovery.

This also came to my thought that one needs to be careful with forums like this that claim to help people to recover or avoid crypto scams. Avoiding crypto scams without providing any information to this sites on how you got scam through providing any vital information from your wallet should be prohibited. Some sites have claimed in the post to help recover stolen funds from scammers which they end up scamming the person the second time.

Once you’ve lost your crypto, you just have to let them go and learn from your mistake. Trying further to want to recover what you’ve lost through carelessness or hack should be a lesson to you and not be a way to what to aggressively get your money back. Stolen funds can’t be recovered and anyone that tell you they want to recover it for you are just misleading you and want to scam you more.

Maybe the site can also be helpful. But I will advice anyone that wants to avoid scam to make the research themself and also read crypto news and also be on forum like Bitcointalk. These are what I did when I was a beginner and they helped me to easily know scam and avoid it.

The best thing be say make person just rely on him own Instincts because that one you go fit  tell easily if you see any scam you go fit know. And when they scam you for crypto you no go fit get the money back make we no lie give our self. And even as them they hack and still money from exchanges and nothing even security agencies fit do. Newbies in cryptocurrency can read the cryptocurrency scambook which is informative about most common scam types so that readers, not restricted to newbies can have more awareness, knowledge about most popular scams and have less chance of falling to those scams.

From knowledge, awareness, they already have good start but to avoid scams, they must have good practice such as being carefully enough in privacy and security practice, and keep their emotion controlled like won't be too greed. Scammers mostly target to people who are either too careless or too greedy.

Basically, you can notice about 80% of scam attempts on your own. A lot of the "newer" scams start by sending you a small amount of money upfront, thinking that this will "buy" you. In return, they ask you to install certain programs that raise red flags and require you to disable your antivirus. Unfortunately, many people especially beginners fall for that small payment trick.You're in a good position, as someone mentioned here, because even as a beginner, you already know some of the common methods, so it's harder for you to get scammed. No knowledge is a waste, you never know where a tip that can help you at the point of your being scammed will come from, this perticular one that is shared here updates victims and near victims direct experiences which is good. The rate of scams in the crypto space is on the increase and we need to be a step ahead of them by being informed. 20% is enough for someone to lose huge amounts. There is no way to combat this attack totally because more security conscious we become scammers tend to upgrade their activities. A little mistake can give in to scammers, i believe in trusting our consciousness to detect scam attacks but we can't know all, sometimes they use links which without being informed our brains cannot detect how bad our actions will carry out, if it takes any extra tool to stay updated then why not carry on. Most of us here are learning about so many scam attacks because we read from the forum.

Until now I am not so sure about crypto scam tracker. Even if there is something convincing, crypto scam tracker should set a high price, and it is the same as anti-virus application, because the tracker should have more time to monitor each project. Therefore, we must be careful with every thing like this. Even for services that set fees can have the risk of running away from responsibility, let alone free or low-cost ones. For me personally, I prefer to do personal analysis, rather than just trusting such services. Because besides increasing our knowledge, we also increase experience from the learning process that we do.

Thats right. Even though can have tracked potential scammers list or any sort of. We cant verify either these informations are correct and has a legitimate sources or just a made up. The dashboard seems nice but of course we dont know if this one is like sort of malware or some sort of phishing site too.

Normally i agree with you, but OP shared list hosted on government website. So it's less likely they'll be scammed again, unless the website hijacked by rogue government worker.
