GuiMiner Need Help!~

Hey guys thanks for looking

!
So i downloaded guiminer and i need help setting it up wel kinda setting it up. I can load guiminer fine but when i click start mining it give me long poll: IO error what do i do :O?

Do you have an account set up with a mining pool? If not, that's the first thing you need to do. Then put the "worker" (usually different form the pool web login) user/password into guiminer.
