Trump's mission is MAGA against the universities of America. Why? Because virtually all of the universities are breaking the law in their hiring practices. And for other reasons. Which laws are the universities breaking? Laws against fair hiring. Universities have for a long time been hiring in a racial discrimination fashion. There might be legal consequences down the road for university leaders for breaking the race-hiring laws.

This makes sense, I think that I am seeing this. That's why there is a division sometimes with the admin that has been funding them and with all of the people that speaks what they thoughts about politics into their institution. There will be a rebuilding then or sort of adjustment from this defunding.

Everything is wrong in academic circles these days, and some of these large institutions like Harvard are breeding grounds for extremism of all kinds, especially left wing extremism. Universities should have been apolitical and focused on sciences and striving for the discovery of objective truth and continuous improvement. Meanwhile they keep inventing new and useless social sciences, printing PhD's and indoctrinating students into radical agendas. This is just a consequence of them playing these games. I assume most users here are completely clueless, even the academic journals are completely corrupt. Professors are required to print papers all the time, so most of the things in print are complete garbage that should never have existed. Education as a business is one of the big failures of capitalism.

International students are guests in a host country, and therefore are not entitled to anything you only get what the host gives its guest. Is this really the reason for Trump limiting government fund or you are just making tis up.
I know your hatred towards educational institution and I want to say it is unfair, in as much as some student can misbehave and do all sort of crazy activities the institution are not to be blamed for unnecessary behaviors. Also, Harvard University was one of the best institution people around the world dreamt of going. Trump is aiming at reducing the number of foreign students who later on gain citizenship after schooling at Harvard.
