It seems that the tariffs war that trump gives is not the only one because going through the news today I found something that is disturbing and that is the disagreement between trump and the Harvard university as trump has cut short money ment for the university for the purpose of carrying out research and development this is so because there was a disagreement between Harvard president and president Donald trump.

And as usual trump is making sure that American first university suffers by cutting grants that are ment for this institution so is trump actually out for vengeance making sure that all those who where against his choice of candidates suffers people should tell trump the truth because he is gradually destroying the Americans economy by the rash dicision that the trump administration now

Trump broke his promise, and honestly, it’s not the first time.

Even with crypto-related stuff, there’s a good chance he might break his word again. He talks sweet, sure, but he’s unpredictable.

He tends to make quick, bold decisions, sometimes rushing into policies that could cause chaos later on. And then? He either walks it back or freezes it altogether. Just like that tariff game he played before that had a bunch of countries raising their eyebrows.

harvard takes in alot of money from tuition
harvard takes in alot of money from private doners wanting their name on buildings
harvard take in alot of money from old alumni
harvard take in alot of money from private business

harvard a "prestigious" school should not need nor require pleading poverty as if they need social security

if harvard dont like the terms and conditions that come with any donation.. then harvard should not take the money
if harvard dont like the terms and conditions that come with any donation.. then donaters should not donate the money

its simple
dont like the details of the deal, dont take the deal
the deal is not done until the money changes hands

Yes, it concerns Trump's policy of not seeing the impact that will occur in the future because one decision must be studied first, and in the end the American economy slowly goes down with the tariffs that are imposed, or cutting Harvard University funds because they are not in line with government policy, with this hasty policy many of them feel disappointed with Trump, at first they supported him then that fading.

I dont think they should respond because its alot of money but Trump's time is short.   Havard has been around alot longer and should act like they arent quite this desperate to get the money immediately, they can and will receive future funding.  He wants to get them jumping through hoops, its a test of integrity tbh.

If you want maximum impact and headlines and all that I guess you act like Trump, its not prudent exactly but I reckon the big moves reflect the basic reality is that he is only here briefly with that much power.   Pulling all the levers to make something happen is like someone bored of waiting, its not how it really works.  Trade deals take a decade quite often so its all nonsense pretty much.

I'm pretty sure harvard has been having so much money for the past few decades. harvard's endowment in 2024 amounts to $53.2 billion, it's crazy number and there are private donation, etc.

Although this can affect harvard, but I'm pretty sure harvard gonna be fine though.

Trump vs Harvard, public drama as national policy once more. The issue is not just revenge as well tariffs or headlines. it keeps happening: first, budgets get turned into weapons; next, the so-called “elites” are in the crosshairs, and before you know it, there’s a fresh wave of good old populism. It’s almost predictable at this point, isn’t it? Cutting Harvard’s research budget doesn’t exactly scream genius strategy. If anything, it just seems pretty shortsighted to me

When the president can single-handedly finance whimsically, what does it say? Power flex or a system fault? Research institutes like Harvard really create great value: tech businesses, medicinal discoveries, entire sectors sprout out from these laboratories. Turning off that plug due to personal conflict?

Was Harvard going to fall apart? No. Their endowment is bigger than that of several tiny nations. And how can we defend academic freedom if every leader reduces financing according on hatred? And can the U.S. remain internationally competitive if science gets involved in personal politics? Is this revenge, or merely the most recent power theater? People yell, people become angry; nobody is actually addressing the crises in innovation or education

Trump might have revenge in his heart in some ways. I haven't checked his heart lately.

But reducing government funding to universities and colleges - and anywhere else for that matter - is simply one of his methods for MAGA... saving Americans money regarding their government.

honestly is it possible that trump is taking things too personal and emotionally? i mean logically this does not make sense harvard is one of the top universities in the world and has produced a lot of talented and skilled researchers, engineers, lawyers, doctors etc. so to cut off funding is a questionable decision when they seem to be doing well

anyway maybe harvard can get more money elsewhere but it would be hard to do so

Universities promote violence and refuse to apologize. The money is therefore better spent at places that are not Harvard or any other university. Universities need to be converted into mental institutions. They can keep the same students, faculty, and staff though.

It is a personal vendetta because this dude is a reject. Thats politics, any politician will work towards his interrests.

Getting accepted or rejected by Harvard means nothing at all since nobody knows the standards that Harvard has. And since universities promote violence and refuse to apologize, we should consider universities to be worthless bags of scummery.

Politicians could try to settle personal scores with individuals or institutions when they have the oppurtunty. But there is no evidence or evidence that Baron Trump was rejected by Harvard, Stanford, or Columbia. This rumour emanated from the social media.

However, Trump should consider the effect of these freezing of funds on research and development that will benefit the US society. Many industries depend on the discoveries of these universities. These institutions should also seek for alternative funding to finance their projects. In less than four years, a more friendly government might emerge.

Most of the things that people say on this site are dumb, so I do not believe that Trump is retaliating because a stupid ass school turned down his stupid as son. If anything, universities are the ones which are retaliating against people. We do not know much about how universities admit students, but we do know that it is based on race. Fucking shit. That is a SCAMMMMMMMM!!! You can't trust them to be honest with anything because universities promote violence.

As long as universities promote violence and refuse to apologize for it, universities should not get any public funding. Universities need to be deeply ashamed of themselves. I don't care if they claim to benefit society. These institutions need to fucking apologize first and foremost. But they won't do that because they are fucked up. Actually, harvard.org has a nice video of a kitten that I approve of, but it is not a secure website.

HARVARD LOVES KITTENS.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

P.S. There is no such place as avard university. It is called Harvard. It is not called harvard unless it is in a url like harvard.edu, but even in that case, it is not case sensitive. I just went to www.harvard.org and it did not even have its proper security certificate, so I will stick to harvard.edu or harvard.com. You may call it Warthogs university to make fun of its dysfunctional relationship between Jews and Muslims. If you call Harvard, avard, I have no choice but to consider you a stupid fucking idiot and a worthless piece of shit.

Well, the institution of Harvard university is well renowned and that's why a lot of funding is being done. But sure it's a big slash if Trump is doing to do so. I guess that's not his priority and so getting out funds there or cutting them is what he has to do to fund for other things that he's centered with during his administration. While it's known that research and development really gives help to the government, he can just look into that as is but no one's probably changing his mind.

Trump might have revenge in his heart in some ways. I haven't checked his heart lately.

Yeah, that's what probably he's believing in and that's why the reduction of the funding is his way to go.

Maybe universities should focus less on making enemies so that they do not lose all of their privileges. Universities promote violence, and they have refused to apologize for this nor have they looked into the matter at all. For this reason, we should consider the morons that graduate from these institutions as simply the stupid idiotic retarded entitled bigots that they are.

HARVARD MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, BUT IT IS OK BECAUSE HARVARD LOVES KITTENS! harvard.org

I AM STILL WAITING FOR AN APOLOGY, SO THESE STUPID ASS INSTITUTIONS SHOULD MAKE AN ATTEMPT NOT TO MAKE AN ASS OUT OF THEMSELVES! IF YOU WENT TO COLLEGE, YOUR DEGREE IS PROBABLY WORTHLESS AND YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON!

Hmm. If universities act like garbage, then maybe I should continue to vote for people like Trump to defund these fucked up institutions.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

P.S. If people don't get universities under control, something really bad will happen! You don't take me seriously because you are bloodthirsty and promote violence against me, but one day THE VIOLENCE WILL COME TO YOU WHEN EVERYBODY FUCKING DIES AND GOES TO HELL!

Hmm. It starts with Harvard. Hopefully all other universities are banned from accepting international students because universities are too busy promoting violence and making fucking asses of themselves. UNIVERSITIES PROMOTE VIOLENCE!

I don't think that they do promote violence. If they do so, then obviously they won't be likened by the companies and even students and their parents but they are not. And with all the hate that you are saying to them, it seems that you're the one actually promotes violence and even curses them to hell. Anyway, I am not from there and just wished that I went to any international school but I never did so I am naive and have no actual idea of what circulating with the insides of it like the one that you're saying and only watches out what Trump do.

Trump's mission is MAGA against the universities of America. Why? Because virtually all of the universities are breaking the law in their hiring practices. And for other reasons. Which laws are the universities breaking? Laws against fair hiring. Universities have for a long time been hiring in a racial discrimination fashion. There might be legal consequences down the road for university leaders for breaking the race-hiring laws.

No revenge on Trump's part. It's all MAGA.

I will not be in a hurry to call Trump's stop to funding Harvard university a revenge mission yet, there might be a good reason for it so there are facts that I need to know first. Example is if stopping the funds is in the interest of the American people? I know that Harvard is an elite institution and I will ask if they can fund their research without a federal government funding? If Trump, doesn't fund Harvard, where does the supposed funds go? If there are credible answers to these questions I will say that he was perhaps cutting cost. I know that sometimes a perticular sector can be over funded leaving other sectors that needs serious fundings to collapse. But if the value of Harvard funding outweighs cutting it short then Trump, is not doing the American people any good.

The US does not lack funds to allocate to these universities.  His anger was the pro-Palestinian protest that was not suppressed by the institutions. He is simply on a mission to suppress freedom of speech in these institutions of learning.

A developing story now is the withdrawal of Harvard's license to recruit international students. His intention to control the recruitment process of these universities might be to block some countries especially China students from having access to prestigious US universities.

Note that the US government has control of the borders. That means that anybody who was legally entering the US in the past, might be stopped by a change in US immigration laws or policy.

NEW: Trump Administration Moves to Kick Out Thousands of International Students at Harvard and Prevent Further Enrollment of Foreign Students at School

The Trump Administration has delivered a significant blow to Harvard's wallet with a move that will likely get challenged in court.

As The New York Post reported, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem moved to kick out thousands of foreign students enrolled at Harvard University by terminating Harvard's international student program. She explained this was the administration's way of holding the Ivy League school accountable for its violent, Anti-Semitic, and pro-China activities.

"This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on its campus," Noem wrote on X. "It is a privilege, not a right, for universities to enroll foreign students and benefit from their higher tuition payments to help pad their multibillion-dollar endowments."

"Harvard had plenty of opportunity to do the right thing. It refused," she added. "They have lost their Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law."
