To determine for sure whether the bookmaker is cheating in this way, you should compare other games to find similar cases. If there are many such "traps", then it will become clear about the bookmaker's dishonesty.

Also, you should check other bookmakers to understand the scale of this problem (if any). If many bookmakers practice this, then it will become obvious that this is a way of getting "donations" from gamblers.

I haven't come across such before but if it does exists and reliable on the run, then it should be the shady ones who're jokers using obvious graphics just to make some graphic uniqueness from their site to cause attraction.
But the point of it is that it's a waste of resource and inconveniencing for virtuality.
And as it looks childish is more being suspecious about the developers priority.

What the heck! Betting on that is basically like making a donation as both teams are -2.5? Even at -1.5, it's still a loss! 

If that’s coming from a legit sportsbook, then maybe someone was drunk or half-asleep when they posted the line. Or maybe it's a hidden social experiment to see who’s willing to bet on pure confusion.

If it's from a reputable sportsbook  then i guess that just a technical error, have you ever try to place a bet on that, maybe $1 just to try if that really is active?

Sometimes those things just happen , maybe a line that wasn’t removed in time. But honestly, I don’t think we can blame the casino unless you actually placed the bet, it was accepted, the game ended, and they didn’t give you a refund.

I said there that betting on esports without having any knowledge about that Sports is betting blindly. And good thing you have reiterated it here. This is an obvious bug. I can confirm that this is actually existing until now on the outright section of Sportsbet NBA category.

This option should be closed a long time ago or adjusted the numbers based on the updated series score.

Well, I don't think someone who does sports betting without knowledge of the sport is, let's say, not a fan of it. Maybe for new bettors who couldn't spot the mistake or bug of the betting site, but those who regularly bet could surely catch it.
Regarding that OP, I don't think a known and reputable casino will make traps.

I doubt casino will intentionally place a betting option like that obviously outdated since it’s an outright bet. This bet will surely voided for those who still bet when the series was already tied after the tomorrow game.

Only odds can be use as trap by casino by giving low odds on low chance of winning since casino knew that some players are chasing bets based on the odds.

On this case, this is an isolated case and shouldn’t be the reason for concern.

That is handicap betting and it is exactly normal, the bookie is offering you if the Oklahoma Thunder will win with a difference of over 2.5 points in the -2.5 offering or the other team to lose with more than 2.5 points, the +2.5 point offering. Nothing new here, the gambler need to be informed about any line that they bet, nowadays it is even super easier because we have artificial intelligence now and one quick question to them, any of them will make your doubts go away, it is not that simple anymore for the bookies to be ahead of the gamblers. No wizardry, no sorcery just Asian handicap betting, that is what that line is called.

I'm not sure you are looking at the picture correctly. This is betting on the series winner in which neither team can win by 3 games or more since the series is tied 3-3 with 1 game left. Site needs to fix the odds.

It is evident that this is a system error. I assume it is an automated system, and casinos generally hire external agents through an API that updates game statistics. I don't think it is a scam, as that would be too obvious and akin to shooting themselves in the foot.

I recommend staying alert to these issues and reporting them on the site where you notice them so they can be corrected.

Only difference is this a series handicap, an outright question not specific to the final game. It is a bet on which team wins the best of 7 games and a -2.5 handicap means the team has to win it convincingly, by winning the series with over 2.5 points.

The game is tied 3-3, so no team can win any handicap at all, much less 2.5.

If this is due to technical reasons, then the gambling site is not targeting any scams, but if it is not a technical problem or bug, then it should be understood that this is a novel technique for cheating. You can check other sportsbooks, if you see the same type, then you should understand that it is a way to cheat and if you don't see it, then you should understand that it is a technical problem. If after taking a bet, they give you a message regarding donations, then you should understand that it is the work of a fraudulent group.

When we gamble we also make predictions.
Your definition of gambling and betting is not really clear to me to be honest. From my own point of view betting is more of staking money on real world outcomes, while gambling is more of staking on casino games. They are both risky as the outcome is uncertain so I don't see much of a difference in it.

This is rather a technical problems on the bookie or something really fishy going on with the market for that specific match, to be honest.
I would also stay away from markets which are rather unknown to me, but this goes beyond a market which is unknown there there seems to be something wrong with the calculations going behind the scenes of the bookie and whatever happens, the bettor will lose money, regardless of the choice they take on this specific match.

To be honest, this is the first time I have seen something like this and it does not transmit much trust from the service to the people who alledgedly is the target audience...

Just some days ago, a cousin of mine mistakenly wrote a wrong account number in place of her account number and she sent it to the person that was supposed to pay her, without knowing, the person made the payment before they realized it was a wrong account, the case is still unresolved till now. What am trying to express is that even the casinos and bookmakers can still make mistakes because it's human that's doing the job, even if it's a machine, AI or a software that is used computing those odds and options, they can make mistakes too or maybe a bug. Well I'm not shocked to see this, because  it's not the first time. It's possible situations like are inspired by that change in performance of the teams, irrespective of the their current score, in football we've  seen lost of turn around/comebacks that is indeed incredible and shocking so it possible same can happen.  But on the other hand the bookmaker's can purposely make the difference in odd to capture those bettors who believe  in last minute goal to gain from them even when the games seem to not favour any of the teams but like is said earlier, the current performance can also be the reason for the difference in odd where as they are both in the same lane.
