What's the best way to ship and receive parcels or mails anonymously?

Have been looking for solutions on this topic for long time and never came up with a practical conclusion.

I know there are third parties services that offer their address ad business name as receiver in exchange for a fee. I read someone just put a bank not serial code as receiver and present itself at the post office with that as identifier.

I wonder if anyone in the community here has figured out a method that can work for both national and international shipping?

Apart government post offices and private courrier services that sometime allow discrete shipping, what else have you tried? What has been working?

I'm not sure there is a best anonymity tip shared on open forums, you'll probably find many ways if you search further on dark web forums depending on how high of anonymity you want to go even the level of illegal transactions to avoid super strict inspection by customs officers.
I think every item has its own way to be "anonymized".

If someone wanted completely anonymous package delivery without giving their information to anyone, then that would have to be some kind of custom arrangement. What most people use is a PO Box, but such a service still requires you to register with a service provider. Still, it's a good way to protect your private information if you shop online often.

If it is not about some illegal things, then I see no reason why I would look for a way of even greater anonymity.

International shipping is much more complicated and harder to be anonymous for different reason.
Last year I asked similar question about anon lockers and I received interesting feedback from some members.

You could check out kycnot.me in the good section there are giftcard/prepaid visa cards which you can pay for with bitcoin/crypto and might be able to use to improve privacy of the payment itself, though you would probably still require need to post it in person (depending on how it works where you are).

Aside from PO boxes not really anonymous because you have to fill in forms, many couriers also don't accept deliveries to these boxes.

I think it's a lot easier to go anonymous if you're shipping. You may opt not to provide a return address. If it's required, you can put a business name, a bogus one if you wish, and an address that's only existing in your imagination.

If you're receiving, it's harder to stay anonymous. Using re-shippers and forwarders isn't really anonymous. But you can use shops, co-working spaces, and other stores that offer mail-handling services. You'd be using their name and address, and they'll receive the package for you. Or if parcel lockers are available, they could also be an option.

USPS General Delivery worked, but they still asked ID. Co-working mailrooms and print shops that accept parcels for a small cash fee have been the easiest. International is tougher. DHL required ID even at a service point, so I shipped to a friend’s office and did a curbside handoff later. For bulky stuff, I had a storage drop and then used ThreeMovers to collect and deliver. Simple and cheaper than renting a truck myself.

There is a reason why it's almost impossible to receive parcels anonymously. First of all, too many people order illegal things and anonymous delivery only makes it easier for them and secondly, there is no necessity of anonymous delivery because everything is in a package and the courier won't know what you are ordering.

I do not suggest this because it's a very disgusting action. PO boxes are the best option if you want to receive something anonymously but it's not completely anonymous because it shouldn't be for many reasons. PO boxes protect you from revealing your address to the seller but the postal service still knows it in case you don't order something illegal.

Truly the best option to receive parcel anonymously is to own a delivery company or be an employee who has access to warehouses.

I order a package to my neighbor's address and to his name (which is mandatory information), and when the package arrives, I should go to the neighbor's and say that I ordered to his address by mistake? Something like that might only be feasible if someone has a naive or perhaps senile neighbor who wouldn't care about such things.

Now it occurs to me that maybe for delivery you don't need to sign the receipt of the package, but in my case, most deliveries have to be confirmed with a signature or handover, because the delivery people don't leave the packages in front of the front door.

This is how I get almost all my parcels. Now I can't even remember when it was last time when my parcel was delivered to post office or my home address. This is actually most common delivery method in my country, we have such pickup points at every country. Yeah, they don't need your personal details. Only phone number is needed to get PIN code and open the door. I even get international shipping from Temu in this way.

You are right about that, international tracking is the biggest problem, and sometimes we need to use it.
I noticed price of package delivery increased significantly in last few years, and to get some privacy with them you need to pay extra.

I even get international shipping from Temu in this way.

But Temu packages already have all your personal details printed on them, and most thing they sell is crap anyway

In my country, there are several tiered inspection procedures for imported goods, which ultimately, some parties will know the contents of the package before it reaches the recipient.

In order for the goods to be released to the recipient (including via PO box), Customs still requires the recipient's data (name and ID number) for clearance. The shipping company representing the recipient will request a  ID card and taxpayer identification number. Therefore, the chances of remaining anonymous in my country are very slim.

For the package to go completely anonymous it can be send through third party who’s going the same destination where you want to send your package and the third party will help you deliver it successfully

Not neccessarily. You can use fake name when ordering because nobody won't ask your name when parcel is delivered to pick up point. Adress - you don't have to put your home address, you have to put address of pick up point, preferably that one which is closest to your home. Only thing which is needed is your phone number.
You're right that there is lot of crap sold here, but I'm not buying things often here and only something that I actually need. Or sometimes I order stuff for my friend who is afraid to buy there and get scammed.

There are cases when couriers leave the package in the garage, in post box or in the yard, so when they leave, you can go to their yard and take the package but I highly do not recommend anyone to do that because that's a serious offense to put an innocent person into a wrong accusation in case something happens.

International packages are usually checked thoroughly at customs. They need to have contents listed or the agents will open it to look inside. I had a few of my packages opened like that.
If you don't want your name on the package just use a PO box, but that's of course not completely anonymous as the office has your data, unless you fake it and pay with cash.

As for delivering to your neighbor that may or may not work because you get tracking sent to your phone. Phones need to be registered here, which is another hurdle. You can of course pay someone to register a phone for you or buy a sim card that's already registered to a homeless drunkard... What if you don't get the package before your neighbor? He's going to see you're using his address and some other phone number... I wouldn't want to explain myself in this situation.

Locally there's a railway package system here where you can send a package at the station and it goes out immediately. If you're sending to a town 500km from you, it's going to take around 6 hours for the package to get there, so the receiver can go to the station and get the package on the same day it was sent. I've heard they have dogs sniffing these packages now because people used to send drugs this way

As long as we're not talking about buying illegal stuff or anything like that, PO boxes do have their uses. For example, you win or buy a collectible on a forum and don't want the person sending it to you to know your real name and exactly where you live. That's where a PO box can come in handy. It would only be partially anonymous, and it also has the aforementioned restrictions in that some couriers don't deliver there.

From a few years ago, pick-up kiosks started to appear everywhere, and if you pay by card, I assume that you can give false information to the seller and simply redirect the parcel to the parcel machine and then pick it up via PIN code.

In my area, signature became a thing of past after the Covid. Before Covid, you had to almost sign everything but after Covid, signature is super rare. They simply ask me my name and then give me the box but to be honest, 90% of them are old workers who work on the same position for 20 years and more, so we know all of them and all of them knows us. If you and your courier trust each other, they might sign for you and leave you a parcel.
