It seems that there is a wind Blowing across the continent of Africa as there has been a recent shift in interest and international diplomacy across the continent it may not be as plan but African have started taking their destinies into their hands there has been about seven military coup in the last three years in the continent and the latest is coming from Ivory cost though no official statement has been made but the military has taken over the streets of the country.

The continents that are most bothered about this are the continents that are dependent on these African countries for their natural resources. Take for instance, France, which is already slowly being affected by the limited resources they are no longer receiving from the country they have been exploiting. From Burkina Faso, they have suspended all gold exports to France.

If there are more coups and resources to European colonizers are cut, many of those European countries will be affected. That is a danger for their economy.

This is nothing new really, the tug of war and tribal style of politics has been manipulated by outside powers for decades, if not centuries. You don't have to look very hard to find the stories of the CIA running jobs that replace the people in power with someone more favourable to the USA - the same thing can be said for the UK, France, Netherlands, etc. There does seem to be a new wave of influence happening right now, driven as you say by the plentiful minerals in the continent, which is often Russian coups or Chinese payoffs. Often the only people who really benefit are a small elite at the top of the country that surround and are often related to the new leader. There have been complaints that Chinese gets these countries into worse debt and have been less generous about writing it off.

It was a rumor and not true but it got everywhere on social media but there is no military coup in Ivory Coast.

“There is no coup in Côte d’Ivoire. The country is stable,” Christelle Kouamé, an Ivorian journalist living in Abidjan, said.

Kouamé is also a member of the executive council of the National Union of Journalists of Côte d’Ivoire and a member of the organisation of Investigative Journalists in Côte d’Ivoire.

This is just on of the news I read about it but I also confirmed on two other news to actually know that there is no military coup in Ivory Coast.

If that's what you are referring to, it's great for Africa. It is the most natural resources rich continent but Europe has been stealing from them since a long time. If all countries are sweeping out the western nations out of their ground, it's great for them.

I would be very happy if all countries on the continent were able to break away from the colonial powers, but I fear that these anti-colonial revolutions are merely an attempt to replace the colonial power. Instead of Europe, which colonized the continent for centuries, today the map of global powers has changed, and with it the methods of colonialism. We now speak of economic and cultural colonialism. Russia is now a friend of all the countries where European companies have been expelled, as is China, which has diverse investments in all countries on the continent. There is also Israel, which we recently discovered is a friend of Ethiopia and several other countries in the African Horn region. If countries cannot achieve sustainable and comprehensive development based on their own capabilities, then all we see is nothing more than a colonial substitution.

There are "sad" things happening, but there are deserving things too. The ancestor of those whites that are getting "leave here" threats were not people from those places, they came from Europe, to colonize those nations. So even after Africans were given democracy, in most nations whites still held power, or money, or wealthy, or whatever they want, rights to minerals and resources even.

So now, Africans are saying, leave all together, or face consequences, to those colonizers. Sad thing is, none of the people who are getting this treatment were the people who actually did anything, they are themselves innocent, sure their ancestors were very bad men, but if we look at all our ancestors I am sure we can all find issues, that doesn't mean we should be punished for it.

The problem with Africa is that African leaders love money and can do anything to make sure that they have money that is the main reason why foreign influence has been seen in the continent of Africa what the ordinary Africa leaders is after is just how to make money as they are not interested in what happens to the people that they lead a continent that is so blessed with natural and human resources like Africa is now a liability to the rest of the world.


I like the fact that Africans has started growing up and trying to correct the anomaly and if military is the only way that it can be done then am in full support of it because the situation called democracy has failed the continent because the process of electing leaders has been hijacked by the civilians in power

And what is a danger to a western economy, is a danger to the regime in whatever country is causing it. I am sure we will soon start hearing more talk of the lack of democracy in certain African countries, and how we need to do something about it. Think of all the poor people down there that are being tyrannized.

Africa isn't growing because our colonial masters doesn't want us to and have been doing everything possible to keep Africa under their control. What this colonial dictators are doing is to install puppets  as rulers in Africa nations. Rulers that will be dong their biddings by allowing them(westerns) To exploit  our vast minerals resources to build their countryside. Infact the European solely depends on Africans resources to keep their economy flourishing. Late Gaddafi of Libya tried to break free from the enslaved shackles of the colonial masters but ended up getting killed. Today Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina fasso is doing what Gaddafi died trying to achieve,to liberate Africa from colonials slavery. He started with expelling all French troops stationed in Burkina fasso,denied French govt access to his country rich mineral resources,others nations like Chad, Niger,Mali  and now ivory coast have followed suit by also expelling all French troops and diplomats from their countries. I think the era of colonial slavery  is coming to an end in Africa.

Is already looking like it's too late for these African countries to take action in stopping this exploit, the African continent has been exploited already and the resources left is been shared among those of them that are currently their leaders. It is not enough to drive away colonial masters, Africa needs accountable leadership, they where on the same level with some Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia and china in terms of under development in the early 90s,  those countries have left African behind because they were serious with their institutions and their leadership structure.

From the time past looking at the political history of the African continent African has been the greatest threat to the peace security and development of the continent which has seen it to where they are today so only African has the solutions to the problems that has been bedeviling the continent through proactive steps and actions so am really not surprised about the rising cases of military take overs in the continent

It seems that with civilian rule, African leaders are not ready for good governance. It is as if the civilian government is taking the people backward; that is why coups are taking place in different countries. If leaders were serving the people well, I don't think there would be coups happening. The people are happy with military government, and the military is giving the people what the civilian government finds it difficult to provide. The European countries that were affected through their  exploitation that had been for decades in Africa should sick alternative to survive the effects the coups on their economy.
Nothing is permanent, if where some of the European countries have been exploiting these many years has closed or stopped, they look for other sources to survive. It as simple as that, life goes on.

Africa has been under the siege of some European powers. These colonizers have not brought meaningful development to the continent. I support African leaders to seek partnership from Russia, China and others if they offer a better deals. African countries have been subjected to financial slavery due to throat cutting interest that the World Bank and IMF place on loans they give to mainly African countries. We know that China and Russia are not saints, but we need partnerships that will benefit us.

Recently, the government of my country gave China the approval to establish the first electric vehicle factories. We don't want partners that will exploit only raw materials, we want them to help us to industrialize.

Most Western backed African leader are not democrats. Infact they are worse than Military government. The so called civilian government engage in human right abuse and they govern like despots. I don't care much about the kind of government, what Africans need is good governance.

The problem that I have with these coups that are going on in Africa has an unseen sponsor Russia which to me is like you leaving a wicked master and summiting your self to another evil master again so there is a strong forces that are backing These coup ploters I don't see Africa getting free from this type of coups because there is no true freedom in getting backing from Russia because at the end of the day Russia will find her way in these countries
