Greek Football 2025-2026 Season Discussion and Predictions

This super league is rather strange and unexpected compared to the previous year. OFI lost again, this time from Kifisia, with a score of 1-3, which I personally find disappointing for a team that managed to compete against Olympiakos in the finals the previous season. The team isn't in their best form since the beginning. Kifisia on the other hand, delivered a great match. I was also surprised with PAOK vs. Asteras, which ended in a tie, with a total of 6 goals scored.

In terms of making money, my bets yielded decent results, due to me keeping a neutral approach, however, I can't help but wonder why OFI is performing that poorly.

Panathinaikos also lost today in a match for Europa League.

The greens were playing against a team I am not familiar with, called GA Eagles. They finished seventh last season in the Netherland first league but also got the cup. Nice feat, they must be doing well lately.

Panathinaikos seemed to be having some chances for a while but soon the hopes for a win were crushed. Not theres still hope for a qualification but upcoming matches are also hard so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Olympiakos also lost against Arsenal a few days ago, I didn't expect them to win, but I believed they could at least score one goal against them. Turns out I was wrong, and there goes my $20 with them.

Anyway, there are some interesting matches coming up this weekend. I'm personally focusing on Aris vs. OFI tomorrow, although I don't have any high hopes considering that we lost against Kifissia the previous week, it's still a match I'm looking forward to. We also have a great derby on Sunday, Olympiakos vs. PAOK, which is going to be interesting.

Nothing out of the ordinary really because historically that's what we've been used to.
The fact that so many teams managed to qualify this year is a feat in and of itself for Greek teams for sure. But I can't see them making it much further.

What amazed me about the teams that played in the UEFA Competitions yesterday was how all the Greek teams scored first goal and lost their matches. PAOK scored first against Celta Vigo but they lost the match by 3:1, AEK Athens also scored first against Celje but lost 3:1 as well, Panathinaikos scored first against Go Ahead Eagles but lost 1:2. At first you will see the Greek teams showing a lot of energy but it will get to a time when they will start losing their strength and give their opponents more edge over them.

I don't even think we should talk about Olympiakos because they found themselves in a very complex competition of UEFA which is the Champions League but apart from the match they lost against Arsenal which is quite understood, they played a very good game against Pafos in the opening match of the Champions League where they ended up getting a point in that game.

Finally! A win from OFI, after suffering a losing streak, OFI won against Aris with three goals. I was quite surprised and didn't expect us to win without even letting Aris score a single goal. This is a huge deal from OFI who lost against Kifisia last week, but ultimately won against Aris, who has been performing quite good in the super league.

I'm personally looking forward to Levadiakos vs. Panetolikos tomorrow and most certainly, the derby of the week, Olympiakos vs. PAOK. Who do you think is going to win?

How on earth did OFI win aris by 3 to 0. What an amazing match

Aris is still Avery strong team but this goes to show OFI has a lot of untapped potential to play extremely well. Hopefully the coach and the players can have a good cooperation from here on our after such a great win.

I was very surprised as well. Aris is 5th in the Super League standings, while OFI was close to being last. Aris is a great team and it was extremely unexpected for OFI to win with three goals, what an amazing match. PAOK vs. Olympiakos was great as well. At first, I was rooting for PAOK, till the first goal was scored by Olympiakos and I started reconsidering. Olympiakos managed to sustain the score for quite a while, but then PAOK pushed a lot and managed to score two goals within a few minutes of each other.
