At first, I used to track my wins and losses on a spreadsheet on Google Sheets, but I no longer do that. However, I personally don't track my losses, and not even my wins anymore; everything is recorded in our betting history, so I can check at any time. I try to maintain a somewhat steady bankroll on my account, withdrawing any major wins. If it goes well below what it usually is, or if, worse, it empties, then we're having a problem. Indeed our loses are more than the wins irrespective of the fact that we do experience some wins, gamble will always be gamble where our loses are more than the wins. No casino would want to run at loss and let their bettors milk them. Irrespective of their bonuses and and incentives they give their bettors, they always find a way to take everything back lol as gamblers we have to understand this and gamble only with our spare cash. There is no need tracking your losses, I stopped that long ago because it tends to create a feeling of wanting to win back which might lead to addiction and irresponsible gambling decisions.

But if you strain yourself and remember the money that was simply lost, it will be a nice sum that you could buy some expensive thing for. I am not a professional gambler so I don't. But I don't really track my losses at all. I simply move on and bet for the next matches that I have to. Because for me, it's not about how much I win or loss but as long as it's part of my budgeted plan, then I'll bet for as long as I still have the bankroll based on the amount that I have. I might have that pro attitude once I become serious and make gambling as a career. But I am not seeing myself there and that's why, I am happy to track my wins but with my losses, I forget them at most times.

The pile ups of our losses cumulatively could sometimes turn out really huge and some other time it may become even bigger that the profit we have made over a period of time gambling but only a few may know this because only a few to do keep track of that in most cases and one reason i think most persons unlike the pro do not keep track of their losses is because they may be forced to start chasing after their losses by the time they get to see and know the accumulation of their losses at the end of the check of follow through of their losses. For professional gamblers its actually really important they check and keep records with their losses because in the end its needed for them to understand their progress but for others who gamble for fun and with the hopes of making some side cash from it, they may not necessarily need all of that information.

I don’t know if it’s just me or everyone but it’s impossible for me to forget about my previous lose unless I already win to break my bad luck. I always keep counting and remembering it unknowingly at the back of my head.

It’s true that it’s easy to forget if you will not check back your losses but deep inside you knew how much you lose that’s why you are resorting on forgetting it to avoid being stressed.

Something I definitely don't do: track my losses. Because I only play for fun, there's no point in me keeping track of my losses and wins since I know from the beginning that in gambling I'll have more losses than wins in the long run. If someone keeps track of their losses, then that person expects that somehow they'll make a profit, but in the long run they won't make a profit.

Even these guys who consider themselves professional gamblers create Telegram channels to charge membership fees, write books and sell them, create YouTube channels to give courses, they know that they're losing in the long run, that's why they found other ways to make money.

I don't gamble with so much money that I will be so worried of losses, so there is no point keeping or looking at such records. Besides, if my net winning is not far bigger than my losses, it will be very close  but I do win and lose and there have not been when I lose so much that I will be worried of too much losses.

I do, but just like estimates and always in round off lol. Like i knew and remember the last day i played and lost around $50+, but i only remember it as $50, the same on the other days. But once I won/profit on few days, just simple math (minus/add) and round off, those are just in my mind, no notes either digital or on physical lol

To what end will I track my losses on gambling when my losses are more than my wins? I can bet many times in months, not recorded, winning once or twice between those months of gambling. What I can actually remember is the win I had, not the loss.

Why it is easy to remember the wins because it is not what happens quite often in gambling to win often. Had it been we have more wins in gambling compared to its losses. I think many of us will find it easy to remember our losses made in gambling.

I dont track my overall loses on which i do only focus out on totally stopping at the time that im that losing all of my bankroll on that specific session and never tend to look back or making up further deposits once i do able to deplete it out. The most common problem for most gamblers is that they do become impulsive and becoming that emotional on which they do make themselves being addicted even more. Its always been that best that you should be having that control if you dont like to mess up yourself when it comes to finances because this is where people do usually committing out that huge mistake at the time they do gamble. Never ever make yourself that trying out to make money with gambling or having that kind of mentality because it will be that bringing out that kind of disaster into your finances specially if you cant be able to control yourself well.

I agree with your statement OP that often we gamblers forget the defeat in small amounts, one of the reasons seems because the amount is fairly small so that we are not too concerned but the problem is that the incident continues to be repeated and we really forget about it and I agree with what you say which is very possible the amount of loss exceeds the amount of money that we previously got.

For myself to be honest, I rarely check the amount of losses that I have experienced, for me it is not something that must be done, the reason is because from the beginning I only gamble with a small amount of money or a really able to be able to get rid of, and the only thing that could encourage me to check the amount of loss maybe when for example I experienced problems with my finances.

Nope I dont track my losses, I dont even track my winnings - that said I wouldnt
class myself a professional gambler, I'm more of a dabbler for a bit of fun.

I can however understand that professional gamblers and those looking to make
an income from it would be running all sorts of spreadsheets to track their

The issue is that most times be it a win or a loss, as long as it's not an amount that's big, it's rare to take cognisant of it or track them that much, we most times just let it slide while we track the outcome that is huge. Sometimes you might hear statement likes, it's been a long time since I last won, sometimes you might stay a month without winning, for that period of time, it's almost impossible to point out how much you've spent on gambling most expecially if you're using a budget that's not too big, it's only when you try out a game with a huge amount and then losses it that you can then think that you've actually been on the losing steak for a while.

I do not keep track of every single loss separately, meaning I do not have a table where I record each bet. And honestly, there is no real need for that, because your account already has detailed statistics, and if you want, you can check all of that there. I only track the overall balance, the deposit I made, and the current account balance. This immediately lets me see whether I am in profit or at a loss. It is a simple kind of analysis, but it already helps me understand my situation and set goals for when I will make a withdrawal.

This might not be important to everyone but tracking your losses can help you monitor the amount you spend on gambling either on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. This helps you regulate and readjust your gambling activities. If this isn't done you might be losing carelessly without realizing that you are throwing money away. But tracking losses should be done for the right reasons, it shouldn't be done to chase losses.

As tracking your lossess is indeed quite tedious, what I do is just use spare funds every session. Once I busted it, it means, I need to stop and just come back another day. Also, if you want to track your gambling expenditures, you can always check the deposit and withdrawal history in the site. Would be hard, if you are playing in several sites as tracking them is quite a challenge.

Besides, such task is time consuming in actual practice. Very rare can do such task. The better route would be to just play your extra funds and stop once it depleted. No need for tracking, just control yourself in terms of deposit.
