While keeping tracks of losses and winning will be more of a priority to those who sees gambling as a business those gambling for fun might not necessarily have all the time to do so and perhaps if records are being calculated and it happens that the losses are far more the the winning there will certainly be loss of interest compared to when there was no record keeping, personally I wouldn't do intentionally be calculating losses or my winning because I gamble just for the fun and am still still very much ok with my gambling behaviors and at such I don't have any reason maybe for now to be keeping records of losses or winning. The only thing I know is that most times I win and I lost too in other times.

I doubt if someone who gambles treats gambling as a business. Unless you are the owner of the casino. I'm not going to say don't do this, but the question is, what is really the benefit we get from this, because the results will only disappoint us? It was not just a waste of time, but also, it likely made our day dark, seeing that we lost more than we won. That is certainly what the data says. Gambling is a game of luck and full of many opportunities that I feel chasing after a loss or keeping track of it will just demoralize you into not focusing on your probably next big win. What is lost is gone and can’t be taken back. You can only plan the future but can’t change the past. Allowing yourself to always think of your losses will only make you set a target which could be risky for you sometime that you want to reach in order to recover back for the losses you’ve made in the past, it will only make you a high risk gambler which can blow your bankroll off in a jiffy.

Provably yes since somehow I think that they won't reach unto that level if they don't track those important data's since somehow they can develop on how to manage their bankroll or find certain ways to minimize their losses.

If people really want to become a strategic gamblers then maybe they would find lots of learnings on the stats they acquired for the whole time they are playing. Although we might get disappointed on the result but somehow for sure there's something to learn from tracking their losses.

Explain us how it helps you. For me its simple, balance is either zero or I have crypto. I dont need to track anything to understand that I am winning or losing. I also dont get how tracking improves decision-making? If I saw that I have lost already after checking bet history, making a pause or continue gambling wont change my luck or probability of win. If there is already a history and list of losses, there is nothing much can be done, and bankroll management is suggested to do before you start gambling, not when you have a list of losses.

In general, professional players monitor this and they need to have a profit, even in one month or two, the VSB factor of luck that affects professionals also exists. Nevertheless, at a long distance, professionals earn their skill, experience and strategy, which they constantly improve, otherwise they can not stay afloat. Not only just a responsible gambler, but every conscious person should be aware of any losses they have so that they can take steps for loss control later if they wish. Which we basically know as money management. And if we look closely, every successful man or businessman, everyone has a money management system and money management definitely has track of loss and profit.

And in the case of gambling, tracking losses means how much you spend while gambling and keeping track of it will make you at least a little more aware of your previous spending if you ever engage in addictive gambling.

When it comes to losses in slot games, I think I am $200+ down right now and playing slowly because I feel like I am not getting the luck that I need. In sports betting, I think I am still in profit after some consecutive wins in the past.

Controlling expenses will be perfect if you can provide an allocation limit used for gambling, because if there is no allocation limit, all the money you have will go into gambling.

With this limit, everything will be controlled, calculating how many losses occur is certainly very important and also seeing how much balance is left.

Without keeping tracks on your losses it's easy for you to calculate some of them especially if they are just a few weeks interval, but when it comes to the compounding losses of your gambling activities over a long period of time then only a well detailed history can give you the exact figure. I am guilty of this one- I really want to track and check my losses but it completely losses my motivation seeing all the losses that I have incurred over the years.

I think everyone should develop the habit of tracking their respective losses in gambling. In this way, this serves as a reminder about our expectation vs the reality of what we are facing in gambling. If we try to convince ourselves that our losses should not be checked, then we are still justifying this habit even if it puts us in a worse financial position.

I don't know about any other person but I feel it's not proper to actually track your loses to an extent though but again still it's important to keep check of it that's if you are the careless type of gambler because you can probably lose alot without keeping any record and maybe one or two times when you get to experience little break you feel as if you are winning not knowing you are still on the losing side.
