If I'm to go with 1% and above in slot games, I won't last 5 minutes before I burn out my entire balance. What I do for each of my games is go in, in most cases, with the minimum allowed stake per game, so the percentage varies based on the game choice, and for sports betting, the percentage to use depends on how much I have in budget and how many games I plan to play with the money.

I have no specifics in it, for as long as it's not going to be too big for me and I can prolong that bankroll. That will be the best choice for me. Those who gambles heavily can even make 100% of their bankroll in just one bet. And they know the risk that they have for doing that. But that doesn't mean that they're already addicted because if they do that, it means that they can afford to lose that. Somehow, they'll only get to choose how much we can really afford to gamble in any sports that we like to bet.

But, we have to remember, many people focus on how much they want to win, and the mistake is they are not set limit when to stop when get some profit or when losing. Even though big loss often not happen because one wrong bet, but because trying to chase loss or feel too confident after several win streak and believe with one more deposit can bring back the money from losses. Keeping discipline is much more important than looking for big win, because the main goal is to still can enjoy the activity without making financial problem in the future. I know it really hard to achieve but at least gambler have to try it when under emotion.

Using 1% of your bankroll is not a bad one and that is what I normally use in sports betting. Even I deposite $40, I don't use all at once but split it to bet for days. It is better to enjoy them for a long term than using it at one and looking for another once to deposit again within the week. In other words, it becomes conditional, depending on my condition. One of the smart things to do to stay personally financially secure is to divide your budget in daily allowances. This will keep the temptation to play again under control when there is a loss. In some bets, I prefer to use a small bankroll. If I use a large bankroll, this is possible, but usually it's a team I believe has the potential to actually win (even if it loses), like Arsenal. I even bet nearly $100 on Arsenal, but it just disappeared. Other than this club, I usually only use 1% of my total bankroll. I'm like you, not a big risk taker.

Bank roll management should be a good strategy.

I like your idea and I think I use it sometimes but not often. If every gambler are able to put in some strategy to their gambling it should be able to help them manage how they take risk.

But we know that not everyone will be able to follow these simple rules even if they are meant to help them. Some prefer the high risk large reward play. But that will reduce your bank roll too fast.

Though risking too small will not get you any further, but will minimize how much you will lose in a long period of time.

Here to read some of the replies from the pro bettors we have on the forum. What I personally do is that I size in depending on my confidence. There are some games I have huge convictions on like a top favorites fighting for something and really needs to get it, such situation can prompt me to increase my standard betting amount and go bigger but if I'm not too confident, I just yolo in with a small size and cross my fingers.

You must be good at managing your bankroll very well and how many games do you combine in your parlay to raise the potential winning amount up a little so that the amount stake can still give you a decent profit if won?
