Sometimes instincts are right! sometimes they are wrong but in life generally you would be advised to follow your instincts.

However in gambling if your instincts aligns with the current statistics, possibilities then I would suggest following your instincts but then when we consider this underdogs, I definitely go for doing what you think is right, if following instincts is not going to give you a win don't, if it will then don't hesitate to follow your instincts hence we are risking for fun and gambling is definitely luck, so if your instincts tells you anything it might be your lucky day.

I do not follow instinct if it is gambling. Why following instinct when I know that I can lose at anytime? What that really matters is to use little amount of money to gamble at anytime I feel like gambling and not about instinct at all. Instinct sometimes do not lie, and as a gambler it's not to be totally eradicated, but rather mixed with your gambling skills to come up with a perfect prediction. Because I personally I been in many scenarios whereby my instincts told me a certain team will win, but due to statistics, it was literally not possible for such to occur, but eventually it did. And since then I usually don't joke with instincts, most especially if the feeling is strong. Because on the contrary, gambling is both a game of luck and skills. And I will advise that if you happens to find yourself in such scenario, it's best you divide your fund and both sides, while following your instincts and statistics.

Personally I think that getting a positive result in gambling by following your instinct
is just coincidence. And I dont believe you can call instinct a winning bet between
a top team and a bottom of the league team, thats just an expected result.

Its much better to do research and analysis on an upcoming match before

I follow my instinct but I do not believe when someone says that I might win. It really depends on the situation and if I am desperate and I've in the verge of losing everything, then I just give up and try to do better next time I've got to refill my bankroll. And ignoring sometimes do also good for ourselves when we think that we're hyper and our instinct tells us that we should gamble, don't believe on it at most times. I think we're all having the same experience about these instincts that we feel but we can share the same thoughts that we get the opposite results instead of winning.

I follow my instincts a lot in gambling, especially when I am on the casino where logics have little or no place in the outcomes. Instincts are the basics of sound judgement. even in the logics and data, your instincts points out the supposed best decision. Our instincts may not be right all the time, but it is a worse situation when we doubt our instincts and the result turns out positive, then we regret. The only scenario when I control my instincts is when It is about making me gamble outside my budget, then I ignore it and follow my principles.

I'm not sure about that but when there are times that I'm like sure with what I should do, I'm following my instinct. But there are times that I think that it's only going to fail me. I believe myself but sometimes, I lack confidence of doing that and that's why I stick to what I used to do when I bet. The numbers and research way.

It's funny that this thread pops up. Tonight the New York Knicks are 4.5 point favorites at home to stay alive in the Eastern Conference Finals. That's NBA basketball for those that aren't aware. I am going to take the Pacers ML in this game as Indiana already beat them in games 1 and 2 in New York of this series. Indiana going to close it out tonight and go to the NBA Finals for the 1st time since 2000.

Instinct can be BS. You can be lead to believe you'll make back your losses and lose your wealth. You can be made to think very irrational things. Generally speaking it's a bad habit to be succeptible to following your instinct.

Follow some good rules and you'll be golden. Principles are above instinct. Don't  play with more that you can afford to lose, that's the golden standard. Because everything you wagger with in gambling you can lose. There's no surebets.

It depends OP, I don't follow my instinct every time I gamble. Only sometime I agree with my instincts.

One thing about following your instincts, is that it can lead you to win when your feeling is sharp and your experience guides you well, but it can also lead to losses if you are not lucky. Most time following your instincts requires you to ignore using logic, strategy or discipline. So be careful when relying on your instincts.

This should not be done, but I personally, unfortunately sometimes still use instinct in gambling. Well, actually it's not 100% wrong, this may be related to habits, strategies, or just for fun. Because I feel, no matter what kind of analysis, gambling will only result in losses or wins. and it is undeniable that there are many people who believe in their strong instincts during gambling.

Nobody knows how this really flows, because there is no formula and proof. Maybe this is just related to luck if you only focus on instinct. Unless we have narrowed it down to 2 choices that have been narrowed down but still can't find the answer, maybe using a strong instinct can be one way.

Instinct could arise as a doubt. I don't really think it's that much of a thing to worry about. Once you've already researched your games and you're sure you're making the right decision (well you can't be too sure ) just do it and ignore any instincts afterwards. Yeah it could turn out your instinct is right but that doesn't mean it can't be wrong either. But in most cases it will likely arise because you're unsure about it. Just remove whichever you doubt and be at peace.

Instincts are built upon human nature due to the evolvement and progression since the first generation of persons who lived this earth. Some believe that instincts are whispers from Guardian Angels telling us to avoid or to do something in a given situation.

When applied to gambling, relying on our instincts can be considered but you must take into account all the factors one is experiencing. Like the example you gave OP, if your instincts are telling you to gamble on a certain game, then feel free to do it. However, if your instincts are telling you to continue betting despite experiencing a losing streak and you are down in your cash, then better NOT to follow your instincts at all.

In conclusion, follow your instincts when the situation calls for it. You should also consider factors affecting your current situation like what I mentioned above. If you heed to your instincts as a justification to continue gambling, then I guess that's not following your instincts at all- it's greed.

No, I don’t. Coincidence or not, when I feel the high multiplier is near, it shows up. There’s a pattern sometimes that I am following or looking out for, but I’m not betting on it even if it has happened to me many times already. Of course, sometimes I regret not following my gut feeling, and if I’m not mistaken, the times my instinct is correct are more than when it’s not. Now, why don’t I try? Simply because I’m not chasing a high multiplier.
