I use AI to learn about bitcoin, but the mods dont like it. Explicitly go in and specify a fee if i recall correctly, even in 2010 or so when i first fired up bitcoin core. A big reason im in bitcoin is because im tired of people telling me what i can and cant do with my money.

A user with a high-RAM modern computer can optimize their Bitcoin node's setup by increasing the dbcache setting beyond the default value of 450MB. This adjustment can lead to a noticeable improvement in IBD speed.

However, setting a high dbcache value requires careful consideration of the available system memory. For instance, if a user's system has 16GB of RAM with 6GB free, setting dbcache to 2GB should not cause issues. But if only 2GB of RAM is free, setting dbcache to 2GB could lead to system instability.

Can we set this in bitcoin.conf or on the command line, or, if you're using bitcoin-qt, in the gui settings?

You can do any of the above and they have the same effect. GUI and bitcoin.conf is probably the easiest and ensures persistence. Just don’t allocate too much memory for dbcache or you’ll run out of mmeory.

You can use whatever you want, just don't post chatbot verbal diarrhea here. You know you learn more from reading than from posting, right?

I have no idea what this means.
