Notice that no one from Trezor replied, could this Trezor forum be somewhat abandoned?

Maybe it's not as high on their priority list as it could be. I opened a few random threads here and there just to see if Trezor team members take part in the discussions by offering help and solutions. Sometimes they do, other times they don't. I can see users with 'Customer Support' and 'Trezor Expert' tags replying to posts as old as a few days. So, they are active occasionally.

My guess is that those with 'Customer Support' tags are official Trezor reps, while the 'Trezor Experts' are regular community members who earn those tags either automatically or following a manual review by an admin.

According to this announcement, Cake Wallet has partnered with Monero.jobs to display the Cake Wallet banner on its website, from what I understood.

This is a job platform that connects employers and freelancers for work relationships, paying or receiving exclusively in XMR.

On the site, it's possible to register via email or anonymously, where a unique secret code will be generated for your access, preserving your privacy.

For now, there are only 3 job openings available.

Version 6.0.2 has been released with just little changes

During elapsed time the changes were largely focused on bridging. Version 6.1.0 introduced USDT bridging, while the latest 6.1.2 release is capable of “bridging USDT between supported chains directly within the app. In addition, improvements were made to the core engine as well as to background management  of multi-chain wallets.

Almost a week later and there are still only three jobs available on the website.
I don't think this will catch on. They are limiting themselves massively by only supporting monero. I understand that the whole point of the project is to advertise XMR and make it the center of everything, but if there is no one hiring and willing to pay people in monero, what's the point? At least they could show ads for jobs paying in BTC as well.

The "Find Talents" section looks better. There are over 350 freelancers advertising there, and clients can contact and hire them to complete various tasks.

Patch work never stops!

Today Cake Wallet was updated to v6.2.1. The new release is largely the patch focused entirely on bug fixes, such as the layout issue on the scan page,  crash caused by invalid node URLs  and more. The release spans 10 commits  and all changes can be reviewed by comparing the 6.2.1 and 6.2.0 on github:

The former means you can now see your recent transaction history right on the home screen, and sending to aliases (OpenAlias, ENS, Unstoppable Domains) resolves faster and more reliably. The latter implies that the app rewrote how it calculates crypto amounts (fixing decimal edge-case bugs) and upgraded the Flutter engine, plus core code refactoring for more responsive app, ^{not to mention the usual round of bug fixes}.

One thing I do not like about Cake wallet is that it is not synchronizing fast when I receive bitcoin after I open the app.

The second thing is that when I want to send bitcoin, it may write error more than 2 times before the transaction finally got successful.

I stopped using the server that I imported from Electrum, I only used the one that are on the Cake wallet. What I noticed is that the servers may show orange or red and not green now which was not like that before.

The one I used which you can see in the image was red:



If I receive a coin and if I want to make transaction next time, I will take a look at the servers and change it to the one in green. I do not do all these on Electrum but the synching and sending are very fast, also on Bluewallet.

Cake Wallet was updated to v6.3.2. The changelog details don't differ compared with 6.3.0, but 6.3.2 claims to include some critical under-the-hood upgrades relevant to the Flutter framework and refactoring of the core engine.

Cake Wallet was updated to v6.4.0. This release is mostly focused on bug fixes, but it also adds a little bit of privacy by shuffling the order of change outputs in both buildHardwareWalletTransaction paths for BTC/LTC hardware wallets. ^{See relevant commit}. Also with this update Cake Wallet supports Zcash upgraded with IronWood.

This update polishes things after the recent Zcash "Ironwood" shielded pool migration, making Zcash transactions run smoother. What one could expirience with it is usability win, i.e. when you scan or paste an address now, Cake automatically figures out if you're trying to swap or send, and routes you to the right wallet.

It's really irresponsible for Cake Wallet to continue supporting a shitcoin that has had multiple hidden inflation bugs. Gotta collect those fees and KYC those users, I guess?

Cake release was elevated to 6.4.2. which adds  both security and stabilityto wallet.

Release 6.4.4 ^{which appeared today} is worth paying attention to and deserves the dedicated post.

It fixes security issue where malicious deap link could trick tapp into sending EVM assets on the wrong network, plus various bug fixes for contact syncing, node selection, and Cake Pay sign-in.

Besides it adds native Trezor support, plus Solana NFT handling got beter,Monero sync now shows progres smoothly instead of looking to be frozen at time when  wallet starts up.

Sounds great. The last time i made a tx, i waited for it to finish syncing, but it seemed like the sync wasn't progressing even after several minutes.

It even looked like the sync was going backward or resetting to where it was before whenever the phone screen turned off. Hopefully this has been improved after this update.

Last time I used Cake they did fix most of the sync issues, but that was only on mobile version.
Desktop version is usually lagging behind, and it's not working correctly because of weird bugs.
I have to try connecting Cake wallet with Trezor again, but last time it was not working for me.
