A total disappointment from Galatasary yesterday against Frankfurt. No game plan, no working tactics and no interference in the game at all. The defense is a total disgrace, the midfield was completely ruled out and the attack was nothing but trash. The coach was watching desperately and helpless on the sideline despite his team was losing 5-1. Such indecisive coaching style will hardly succeed in Europe competition because to succeed in Europe competition, a coach must definitely knows how to read games and offers appropriate tactics.

I can understand losing, after all Frankfurt looks like a better team so I can definitely see losing. I can even see losing 5-1, after all teams do have bad days, and it was a bad day, that is understandable. What I do not understand however, is to get scored 3 times by your own mistakes... that is not okay at this level.

2 goals bounced of Sanchez, and own goals, and one was Sara at last minutes of the game just losing the ball right in front of their goal, so those three were totally their own mistakes. It's really not making any sense at all, and should not be that easily losing like that based on their own mistakes. If you play your best and lose, that is always understandable, specially against a better team, but mistakes making you be dominated? That's weird.

The first match of the Champions League was quite satisfying as several big teams such as Arsenal, Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG, Inter, Barcelona, and Manchester City won. Unfortunately, Juventus and Dortmund played to a draw. On the second match, the big teams will face underdogs, so they should be able to maximize their chances of winning 3 points. Except, for the match between PSG and Barcelona, which is highly anticipated because it is sure to be fierce.

In the second match, I hope the outcome will be as we expect. That means the favorite teams will be able to secure full points again. That way, I'm sure there will be many winners in their bets. However, I'm worried that a surprise result could occur in the second match. Because in the UCL, there are always some surprises that make the outcome less than what we expected.

The PSG vs. Barcelona match is sure to be very exciting. It will truly attract a lot of attention. Because the meeting between these two strong teams will be like a final. Honestly, it's difficult for me to decide which team is the favorite. But I'm probably hoping for a Barcelona win.

Barcelona is not also a small team, so it if we make comparison to Newcastle, then the two team are strong enough among the famous clubs in premier league, but as you have already suggested, we can't expect that this does not have any significant impact if their current form is better than each other, we know that as for now, Newcastle can still be in best position over Barcelona, except we want to choose fan of a thing as criteria here.

Barcelona and Newcastle are both not small teams. However, what I don’t really agree on is the fact that you said Newcastle can still hold their position to overcome Barcelona. Seriously, Barcelona is in their best performance; they are performing very well currently. So seriously, even though it’s football and we can’t say how things may turn out, and Newcastle is also not a weak team – they normally turn up with good performance – I don’t see them doing great this season, but Barcelona is already prepared and ready to beat every club currently.

Well, I have to agree with you on this, despite that I hope you're not saying this all because you're probably a Barcelona fan  don't mind me, as you have said, football sometimes could be more unpredictable, anything can turn up concerning any club while on play, I get your view here, but we will have to keep an eye on both team the more to see how consistent they could be and maintain being, between now and thereafter in their matches.

I knew Newcastle won’t be able to win Barcelona in the match, I expected the match to be a tough one, but I knew Barcelona will definitely win the match. If you can check Newcastle performance this season in the premier league, then you will see that their performance dropped drastically this season, they haven’t really been playing well this season, so I knew Barcelona will definitely win them in the match. Newcastle will struggle in the champions league, because their performance isn’t really good this season.

Newcastle played better last season than current season, I know the season is just starting, but Newcastle didn’t start the season well, they currently in 10th position on the premier league table. Am not really expecting anything much from Newcastle this season.

Newcastle United are no match for Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. The Magpies got what they deserve and that's a defeat at St James Park and what more could be done? Eddie Howe will struggle this season based on his infertility of the team to make more privilege and prominent signings this summer instead they let go of one of their most promising striker, Alexander Isak who's currently a Liverpool player. Sometimes I wonder why Newcastle relent this summer not when they're probably getting up and rising to be one of the best performing EPL team, now everything crashing down so easily on their end.

Barcelona are prepared and ready to face every competent opposition. We know it's been a long road for them but nevertheless, they're moving in good motion and this exactly what Hansi Flick wants inother to stay actively in the game.

We haven't had that many surprises and the results were largely as you would expect, and we've seen a decent amount of goals.

The biggest (if not only) surprises were PSV losing 3-1 at home against Belgian USG and Club Brugge (another Belgian club) demolishing Monaco 4-1. Not only did Club Brugge beat Monaco (one of the top French clubs) but they did it in an impressive style. They had exactly twice as many shots on goal/shots on target as the French team. Looks like the Belgian league might be stronger than anyone has expected. I wonder how those 2 clubs will do in the next round.

The good news now is that Marcus Rashford is redefining himself. The news broke recently that Barcelona was considering terminating his contract but it turned out to be fake. The club seems to be impressed not just with his performance on the pitch but with his attitude and professionalism. His two goals yesterday were all classic which shows that the English player is working hard on his fitness.

Manchester United seems to be under a spell. Almost all the players they rejected are turning out big in their new clubs. Rashford has made it clear that he is happy in Barca and wants to stay there for a long time. 

Football fans can be very funny sometimes because am just wondering why everyone now praising Markus Rashford simply because he won the match for Barcelona against Newcastle yesterday. For some time, Markus Rashford have been facing criticism over his inability to score goals for Barcelona which made a lot of people begin to speculate a possible sideline for him by Hansi Flick, of course i also criticized him and despite his performance for Barcelona in the champions league game, i will still give him some time if he can maintain consistency before i will shower my praises on him. But that notwithstanding, he was really classical in his finishing yesterday and i commend that and also wish him more breakthrough in his future matches.
       It's true that Manchester United players have been performing better after they left the team but some of those players also contributed to Manchester United's woes. When some of them were still in the club they were basically earning huge salaries while their input to the success of the club was zero. Maybe, the reason they are performing very well in other clubs is just so that it won't look like they the cause of Manchester United's misfortunes and also for them to secure their positions in their new clubs.

i completely agree with what you said. we expect everyone to give their best performance in every game, but at the end of the day, even though they are professionals, they are still players and can have bad days. there can be many reasons for this, and generally, a player who performs well is shown tolerance during these bad days, apart from brief criticism.

what i don't understand is that yesterday, it seemed like this happened to almost everyone on the team at the same time. i don't think anyone was playing to their true potential. maybe when such an atmosphere develops in the team, all the players are affected by it. but what's bad is that this situation isn't being addressed with player changes or tactical moves. all we can do is hope the match ends as quick as it can.

Rashford rediscovered his scoring form today for Barcelona against Newcastle, it was a very tight game for Barcelona and Newcastle were so strong in defence that it was like Barcelona were without a striker.
Marcus Rashford was Barcelona savior because I did not see any other way for Barcelona to get a goal if not for individual brilliance.

Yeah that's how it works most time in football, that player you never thought nor imagine, you can even say that he's not capable of scoring but you will be surprise to see him coming from behind to rescue the team, back in those days when people were underestimating Maguire but he has rescued manchester united in several matches.

I think you misunderstood me there I never said I did not imagine Rashford scoring yesterday, he was amongst the Barcelona's attack and ofcourse his primary responsibilities are to score and/or assist a goal. Chelsea winning might be possible because Barcelona has not been really stable in there game lately unlike last season but it is also possible that our prediction and thinking can be wrong but I think you should play what's in your mind regard.

The Champions League is always very different and will be a prestigious and high-priority competition. Regarding the Newcastle-Barcelona match, I think it was a great match, and I don't think either team is weak. Barcelona's win proves that Barcelona has more experience than Newcastle in the Champions League. However, Newcastle is also not an easy opponent and will make things difficult for the opposing team. Newcastle played with high intensity against Barcelona and, overall, Barcelona dominated the match. And perhaps if the opponent wasn't Newcastle, Barcelona could have scored more goals, but Newcastle's high-intensity play meant Barcelona only managed a narrow score. Conversely, if Newcastle hadn't faced a big team so early in the Champions League, I believe Newcastle would have won the match.

Barcelona didn't defeat Newcastle easily. It was tight, with a goal less first half and Marcus Rashford scoring a brace in the second half which one was was responded by A. Gordon. Barcelona was the better side actually but they knew they had a challenge in England from Newcastle. The match ended with Barcelona narrowly securing the 3 points done it ended 1:2 in favor of Barcelona.

That is why Alot of people didn't believe that barcelona would end up gaining victory over them, though I was not surprised to see the scores because barcelona in the other hand is also in a good form. I didn't watch the match though but I could imagine how tough it was for the both teams, but at the end barcelona still prove to them that they're more stronger.

It's understandable that you didn't watch for your saying that Barcelona won easily. Marcus Rashford showed his masterclasses in that game and stepped up to fill the void created by Yamal's absence due to groin injury. Barca was the better side but they invested lots of energy proving it yesterday.

Neither Newcastle nor the biggest team is particularly great, but if you're solely focused on victory as the final result, you also have to look at who scored Barcelona's goals. Both of Barcelona's goals were scored by Rashford, a player on loan from Manchester United who was also very active in the Premier League. So, it's not just about the size of a team in winning a match, but also about who is smartest at capitalizing on opportunities and creating new ones to create opportunities to score again before the match ends.
