I know quite a few altcoins did really well end of last year when there was a lot of Hype with Trump and Bitcoin hit $100k for the first time but that cant be it can it for altcoins this cycle?

A few of my altcoins did 5x and one even done an 8x in the 5 weeks between early November to mid December and I took profits but not much as believed we would go a lot higher this year but 2025 has been awful for altcoins so far with most down 50% or more since the December highs.

I believe we will have more of a run for altcoins at some point this year, but I am starting to feel like it wont be much compared to last cycle where there was altcoins doing 10x - 20x easy, I'm starting to feel those days are gone.

What is going to give altcoins that push to go on a run like we had end of last year?   I keep hearing we need the FED to cut rate cuts, is that the main thing holding us back currently the fact they have not been cut yet?

Is it just a case of waiting for Bitcoin to top before money flows down into Ethereum and other altcoins?   I just find it strange why Bitcoin and Altcoins both pumped end of last year but its only been Bitcoin doing well since.
