I like the look of the game. It was actually better than I expected it will be and was informative as well. I can see this being a fun way for people to learn about Bitcoin while having some gambling fun.

I would have preferred if the mining rewards was displayed in BTC rather than $300k+ to keep the theme Bitcoin related. I look forward to seeing future versions of the website which will be released.

I don't get at all how are the odds calculed, you should share the provably fair system and the logic behind each bet, that way we will understand how to win or why my bet lose.

From the past block games i have seen some games that take the last digits from the block transaction and starting from there they made their provably fair system. if your site is that style, then how does it work?

And the last question, how do we know that you will not run with the deposits before paying the first round?

Thank you seonincorporation for the question. I think those are quite fair and help us to understand the areas we need to focus more in explaining the game.
So in terms of how odds are calculated i think best to take real case example. As you can see from the pie chart in https://blocksrace.com/stats or https://mempool.space/mining the total network mining hashrate of Bitcoin fluctuates between 910 -930 EH/s for the past week. For the same period Antpool has around 180 EH/s which represents more or less 20 percent of the total hashrate. So they have 1/5 chance to get particular block, thus the odds for them are set to 5.00 and the same goes for the rest of the pools , Foundry has around 30% of the hashrate, thus the odds for them are set 3. However when it comes to integration of our product to crypto casino, it is a little bit more sophisticated as there we work with dynamic changing odds based on real time hashrate data.

The provably fair system of the game comes from hashing algorithm of bitcoin mining which ensures that is PURE luck which miner will compute hash that is lower than the Bitcoin Network difficulty (mine a block)  or when exactly that will happen. And last but not least about runing with the deposits with the first round. As i said in the begging of the post, our main focus is integrating the game/product in different casino & sportsbooks. BlocksRace platform is more a show off of the game to bettors so they can understand better the mechanics of bitcoin mining & betting around it. We have invested quite a lot of time and money in this product, so we are not here for the one time run off and i think the soft launch that we are doing and the cap of max bet to 500USD is proof for that .

If we do base up on the overall chance or odds for other miners to mine the said block will be 38.12%
Then i would usually be sticking with foundry and antpool or even with viaBTC on which the profitability will be nice.

But due to its unique nature, it would take a pretty long time for your business to be somewhat established. Not everyone knows how mining works and what to expect. So, I assume you are in the right place considering the forum has a lot of OG bitcoiners and people who are interested in Bitcoin mining.

I am afraid, it will be hard to operate your business if you do not update your website and do not plan to adds new games in the future. Still, I appreciate that you came up with a unique idea. Good luck with your business.

Once it's fully ready to be released, will it be possible to make bets on each Bitcoin block or will you preselect those that players can bet on?
Regarding bets on block time. Will the only betting options be more than 10 mins and less than 10 mins or will there be more markets? For instance, 1-3 mins, 3-5 mins or something like that?

Look at it as betting on a sports event that will take place in the future. Bookies allow you to bet on a match that will be played in 7 days. The odds will fluctuate constantly. Maybe 2 days before the game two important players get injured. That changes everything but people could still bet on the outcome for days before that happened.

Is there a reason why there is no option to bet that "other miners" will not get a block? If there is the option to bet on them, some will assume there should be the option to be to bet against. Will I also be able to select the exact block I want to bet on or will it be fixed by the website.

I like the concept of the game, looks original. It will be difficult to get mainstream, but with proper marketing and management, it could be.

Absolutely sharing the same opinion. When we pitch the game to bettors who understand bitcoin & mining, they get it from the first sentence. However if it is to person who do not have idea in regards of mechanics of mining etc, it is a little bit difficult to grasp. Thus for sure it will take time the game to become mass popular. However this is the interesting part as well as part of our journey' success will be to educate more and more people the benefits of POW concept , decentralisation & competition of the miners etc

Also for now we are not quite so worried that our website/platform will be not so popular & competitive as missing other games We would prefer focusing on the blocksrace game and make it attractive. Anyway there are so many casinos on the market and we do not want to compete but more partner with.

Yes on our API that is offered to the casinos, they have each bitcoin block as event, however it will be up to them if they would like to offer them or focus on couple of "special"blocks for the day. Our advice to them is best to offer all the blocks as this way bettors can have different betting strategies like in roulette.

Yes, we already have in the API outcomes in regards transactions, total reward and total output(in btc) . We have also on the roadmap interesting outcomes around total pools blocks for particular timeframes. Mining streak definitely sound interesting as well  so we will add this for development

Hey Koadharber, it is nice catch You are right the fair odds for 38.12% hashrate actually is 2.62 https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html thus the value bet currently is on the top 3 miners

Within our API for Casinos we have realtime hashrate and respectively realtime odds however  internally within the team we have some arguments in general. Should the odds match 100% with the hashdata or sometimes  some bets to have a little bit more "value". Me personally i am triggered to bet on some football game when i notice a team has a bigger chance that the bookie has predicted while if it is fair odds i would just pass the game

I had to check for your terms and conditions, I could not see anything like KYC, does it mean your betting platform is KYC free because looking at stanzas 4 and 9 of your terms, you were talking of pushing further for licensing and we all know what is involved after getting a licence and since it involves the government, the need for KYC would be arise so as to meet up with the government policy if you must exist in their region. The is is a wonderful innovation, a fair system that cannot be rigged. I already love the entire platform as it is easy to navigate and the interface is fine. My only concern is knowing how the odds are fixed for the various miners. Is there is known independent body that fixes the odds or you have an internal mechanism of knowing what the odd for each miner should be? Hey Jay, thank you for checking the game. Actually we had the option Other Miners not to hit the block, however it was a little bit confusing in the betslip as we needed more or less to follow same wording : it should have been "Bet that a mining pool different than Foundry USA, AntPool and ViaBTC will not mine block #"  .

We thought for different options however none of them was sounding clear. At the end we preffered to remove this option for now so people are not confused for what exactly are betting and then we to have complaints in this regard

Will be very happy to hear suggestions in this direction. May be we need to change the whole concept around Other and could be easier for understanding.

Yes the direction is you to be able to bet on every block that is coming in the near future however for now we are offering particular blocks& outcomes due to limitattion that we do not have our own platform wallet. Until we have solution in place, you will be able to bet on selected events. In the casinos that integrate our product, you will be able to bet on the whole offering.

Those suggestions are indeed that good or could give out another options for someone to bet on and not just that basing on the block # but rather also with those things mentioned above.
So i wont that disagree on why OP give out that 50 bucks freebet on which its kind of generous i should say on which hitting up with that Foundry bet give that 3x on which it isnt
a bad multiplier at all.

Good to know that. I appreciate that you decided to run a website without expecting much. If you expect much from the beginning but cannot do it according to your expectation, you might be disappointed. So, it is good to know that you are not expecting much. Also, you do not consider other casinos as your competitor because your platform is something unique. I am glad someone came up with such a unique idea. Probably some people will learn something new from your website. But I assume the number won't be big. People usually bet on something that they know. If I don't understand how it works, it is certainly not a good idea to place a bet.
