Greetings! I originally did a project for some Bitcoin poker chips commemorating the date that Bitcoin beat that dollar amount a while back. I did this as a limited one time run and at cost for members of the forum. That being said, the idea was incredibly well received and I have had a lot of people ask if I would produce more. I was thinking of making a "series 2" version to distinguish between the originals and the newer ones (I respect the scarcity of the original set and what I promised to not repeat). If none of the original people who purchased a set oppose, I would like to offer a new set. (If anyone does not like this idea, just DM me and I will respect your privacy.) I doubt my original sets will ever be of any real collector value, they were mainly meant to be a fun set to play poker with and honestly, I have handed out so many of these chips to people I met at events. Here is the original design: I am looking for feedback from the group on a series 2. Let me know if you have any ideas on a design change, etc. We can do this one of 2 ways: #1 I can give you the contact for the manufacture, they can direct ship 500 chips for $295 total (let's get this order in while the tariffs are paused). The good thing here is they could likely do some customization, if you wanted your name on it or something on the design.... Thoughts? I honestly do not mind if people want to personalize this design! #2 We can do a bulk order all together and have them shipped to one location, and then we can ship them to each person thereafter (this was just under 50 cents a chip last time). The benefit here is people could order less than the 500. If we do a group by, the designs would all have to be the same.

I am in as well. I would suggest way #2 (for the plebs, LOL) & -additionally- if anyone would like to place a 500+ chip customized order for themselves, to reach out to you about the manufacturer contact.

That sounds like a plan! To be honest, the reason I did this as a project was to get a better price for all of us! One thing, I would like feedback on the design, how can we modify it to make it different than the first set. Any thoughts?

change the design of the stripes on the edge - totally different colors - put "S2" somewhere on the chips. I am in. A nice case with it?

Interested as well! Also, nice case @MoparMiningLLC, do they have it on sale anywhere?

it was a box I got years ago that had some generic chips - I tossed em and kept the cases lol I can always source more if there is interest. I think it was like $20-$25 for the case.

3 Ideas: 1. A tribute to 12 Physical Bitcoins (Casascius, BTCC, Satori, Lealana, Etc.). Let the forum have a hot debate on the 12 worthy of tribute. We can have another justified round of trashing Yogg as well. 2. Notable historic events with dates: Bitcoin whitepaper (Oct 31, 2008), the first block (genesis block, Jan 3, 2009), the first real-world transaction (Bitcoin Pizza Day, May 22, 2010), halvings (2012, 2016, 2020, 2024) This has been done in different ways. 3. Bitcoin & Bitcointalk culture - 12 phrases from Bitcoin, Satoshi, the forum... (Lazer Eyes, Diamond Hands, Hodl, Rekt, etc.)

Beware of scammers. I will never discuss the sale of Collectibles on Telegram or any other messaging client outside the forum.

I gave a set of these to someone you would all recognize. He really liked the idea and was making a set of his own with your idea #3 with phrases like that and some short quotes. I really like that idea! I do like the idea of keeping the date that Bitcoin broke that denomination of fiat... But anything else to add to the design, I am all ears!

The S2 is definitely something we can do.. as far as the colors, I kind of liked them matching the casino denomination... I will have to ask about the stripes.

Sounds great. I love my original set and would fully support a second series. I will have to think about what changes I would make to update the series and make it different from the first, but follow the same idea. Would be nice to see more than just a simple color/pattern change, but that may be all that is needed. I will update as I ponder. . .

Definitely interested!
Some ideas below to consider...
Thematic Series: “Eras of Bitcoin” Create chips themed around different key eras or turning points in Bitcoin history as someone already mentioned:
Genesis (2009) – Satoshi’s original vision Pizza Day (2010) – First real-world transaction Mt. Gox Era (2013–2014) – The rise and fall SegWit & Forks (2017) – BCH split and scalability changes Institutional Era (2020–2021) – Tesla, MicroStrategy, ETFs Ordinals Era (2023) – NFTs & inscriptions on BTC Bitcoin treasuries countries/corporations (2024) -
Alternative to price you could do hash rate milestones?
“Halving Events” Collection | Chip | Date | Block Height | Reward | #1 | 2012 | 210,000 | 50 → 25 BTC | #2 | 2016 | 420,000 | 25 → 12.5 BTC | #3 | 2020 | 630,000 | 12.5 → 6.25 BTC | #4 | 2024 | 840,000 | 6.25 → 3.125 BTC
Hope this helps and look forward to the watching this evolve as you start the process.

This is an interesting idea! I am curious if you had any visualization thoughts to share... The only challenge is there is not a lot of room on the chip for graphics, and while they are pretty good, it might be hard to get too much on them, here is a close up:

I thought about it more and I think you should play off the theme of the series 1 chips where you highlight the price, and instead of a specific date put a milestone event. So unlike my previous comments a specific milestone rather than a period of time might make more sense. Examples include (mining of the genesis block, launch of Silk Road, first bitcoin transaction (pizza day), etc...). This would eliminate the need for any graphics and would be a fun way to track the price similar to series 1.
