Dear moderators,I’m writing to clarify a few honest mistakes I made during the account creation process:

1. I first created an account named “Nova TIDE” using an outdated Gmail address. This is no longer in use and does not represent my current project.

2. I later attempted to create another account but accidentally typed @ptoton.me instead of @proton.me, making it impossible to recover or verify.

3. I have now created the final and clean account: “NewEra_code” using a dedicated ProtonMail address, with the intention of full transparency and long-term ethical participation. Please consider deactivating or anonymizing the previous accounts, and confirm that NewEra_code is in good standing. For context, the project behind this account — NOVA NV — is ethically structured, long-term oriented, and its core framework is already registered on the Bitcoin blockchain via a timestamped hash, as a proof of existence.

The forum does not deactivate accounts anymore, most that's done for long standing account which the owner has to leave is that the account gets locked so no one else can access it.

You can remove any personal information on your other accounts and leave them or try to recover them with the secret question option to lock the account.

You could simply change the email address.

To change the email address, go to "Profile" and then click on "Account Related Settings" from the left side menu.
After that, you will see your email address and you can change that to any other email address you want.

But clear things up, having multiple accounts is not allowed in this forum

What is discourages is using the multiple accounts to abuse the forum rules such as spamming, cheating contests, signature campaigns or creating them so you can later on start selling them

To add to what hosemary wrote, if you don't want anyone to be able to access the account anymore, you can "self ban". Xal0lex wrote a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it(which I have shared below) you just need to follow it.

Go to your profile, click on "Account Related Settings" and there you will find the item "Secret Question". Next, enter your question (1), the answer (2), your current password (3) and click "Change profile". That's it, the secret question is set.


Then you log out of your profile and are going to log into the forum again. On the forum login page, click the "Forgot your password?". On the "Password reminder" page, enter your username and check the "Ask me my question" box and click the "Send" button.


Next, here you enter the correct answer to the secret question you set (1), a new password (2) and again a new password for confirmation (3) and click the "Save" button. Yes, you can enter whatever password you want. You won't need it anymore anyway.

You can lock your account by a secret question.

PSA: ACCOUNTS WILL BE LOCKED IF THE SECRET QUESTION IS USED TO RECOVER IT

You can change your email address to something like this guide, noone can hack that account.

Make sure that your email address is secure. If you don't want to set an email address, use something like yourUserName@invalid.bitcointalk.org; don't use a random nonsense email like y@x.com, since somebody might create that domain/email.
