Well.. who could have predicted that. The richest man in the world who financed arguably the greatest politician in the world (not a compliment) are now going at each other. It might all seem like political theater but up to now they have both tried to avoid criticizing each other, but today that all seems to have changed. In the last few hours they have been hammering each other on Twitter / Truthsocial and it is making for great entertainment, but it could have large economic repercussions.

It all seemed to start when Musk began saying this "Big Beautiful Bill" as Trump calls it, which increases spending drastically, was a "disgusting abomination", "shame on those who voted for it" and "we [will] fire all the politicians who betrayed the American people" in next year's midterm elections.", which escalated the next day to "KILL the BILL".

This put him at direct odds with Trump who has channeled all his political might into this project and it is his first major attempt at actually utilizing the actual democratic process of passing a bill through Congress and then the Senate where elected representatives from both parties can vote on it. It has squeezed through Congress which lines it up for the Senate next, which may be even harder to arrange now Elon is threatening to counter it with pressure on Senators, who are facing mid term elections at the end of next year. Money talks and if Elon backs opposing candidates like he backed Trump (running a $1 million dollar daily voter lottery in a key state), then he could hand power back to the Democrats.

It's hard to keep track of the latest flurry of messages coming out from them, but it signals a major departure from their alliance:

Now I really see where the market crash is coming from. I don’t think the Bitcoin market will experience such a big decline just today, it has to be something very big to have affected the market this bad. Now the market is always being respected more to the fundamental news than it is to its own body of consensus and flow in the market. Trump has no more use for Elon Musk. This is his second term, and he will not be contesting for elections again, so he doesn't need any campaign funds or popularity from him. So I don't see any reason why their relationship can't get sour. Except that Trump is impeached, he will be president for the remainder of his term, and he doesn't need Trump's money that much, maybe his influence, but not his money.

Many people call it as crazy act especially that there's possibilities that US will experience huge budget deficit due to this bill presented.

Elon Musk believe that it will hurt the innovation and make the national debt became more worse and this is how issues got escalated. You're right, this kind of connection won't last. Both of them have big egoes and none of them can be top of each other. But at the first, we thought that everything is doing well. And then this came, so, there's a big issue that needs to be addressed by the two of them through solutions and not noise.

Some of those quotes seem more like disclosures than fighting.
- Musk stating that a recession coming is not unaligned with Trump.
- Musk stating he'll be around or 40+ years is a show that wealth means more than presidency and that he may still remain in the oval office even after Trump (quite shocking if true).
- "Without me, Trump would have lost the election" is almost admission to influencing the election (was already obvious but this is disclosing that nonetheless).
- I think we all knew Trump was in the Epstein files and having that leaked/disclosed is just a way to introduce the idea to the public and desensitize them (standard play by these kinds of folk).

As for Trump's statements, it all just sounds like noise commentary that helps drama seem real.

I am sure both of them and the forces behind them know exactly what they are doing. Anyone who still thinks what is portrayed to them in the media is the truth is eating from a trough mixed with fact and fiction, designed to confuse and distract.

That make sense, tesla sales are going down because the MAGA sentiment, it's reasonable to think that elon want to decouple his business to prevent it from going down further.

Like doing a diversionary tactics for their failures made? somehow that's what I think Trump badly failed on the tariff he implemented for many countries.

Trade court somehow said that his tariff is illegal so maybe Trump find ways to divert an issue so people would forget about this big failure or mess he made.

But let see what's coming around this drama they created again and it seems like these people really want to get the attention of people. I just do hope that civilians will not get affected on their absurdity.
