My top three is Lamine Yamal, Dembele and Raphina. It's actually very difficult to say but based on talent and their overall display this year I will definitely go with Lamine Yamal although he is 17 years old he has been very instrumental for Barcelona and also very important in big games, he talks but he also backs it up with action.

I'm not surprised to see Ousmane Dembele at the number one spot on the list. He had a spectacular season at PSG, winning a treble and also finishing as French Ligue 1 top scorer and player of the year. Yamal and Raphinha were amazing, and they played a key role in helping Barca win a double. However, winning the Champions League sets Dembele apart from other contestants, and I think he's going to win the 2025 Ballon d'Or.

Salah, Lewandowski, Dembele and Yamal I want one of these four names to win the Ballon d'or this year, maybe the closest is yamal and Dembele yes these two players are very extraordinary with their respective clubs, Dembele with PSG won many trophies this season and won the prestigious trophy UCL on the other hand Yamal with Barcelona performed amazingly in La liga.

Dembele has just managed to carve out his best achievement this season after leading PSG to the Treble Winner, but Lamine Yamal also has a golden opportunity to become the strongest candidate to win the Ballon d'Or. He recently starred as Spain qualified for the UEFA Nations League final after beating France 5-4, and was also named Man Of The Match.
Raphinha is also worthy of competing with the two names above, especially since he was just named the best player in La Liga. However, if Yamal manages to win the Nations League trophy, perhaps his position as a candidate for the Ballon d'Or will be even stronger.

But the fierce battle will be between Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele, Dembele it's one of the highest goal scorer in the French  ligue1 that just concluded, he was one of those outstanding players that cheered them to win the french league and also performed excellent in making their dream of winning the champions league come to reality.

Lamine Yamal, the Camp nou star boy has been phenomenal this season, the 17 years old Spaniard has as well inspired his team to winning the Spanish la Liga with an incredible skills and ball control he has at such a young age. Just few nights ago, he made significant contribution to help his national team to qualify for the final of UEFA nations league after winning France 5-4. So the young man too is a strong contender for the ballon d'Or, and a lot of fingers are already pointing towards his direction.

Dembele has been crazy this year especially and has turned his entire career around, if there was a place for most improved player of 2025 in the ballon d’Or ceremony then Dembele deserves it, but let’s be honest Lamine has been incredible right from the beginning of the season and the thing is that Lamine isn’t only doing it for club but he is also doing it for country.

I admire Dembele and I am very happy about his improvement but he should not just win it because of he won the champions league trophy if that is the case then Vitinia or Hakimi should go home with it or be major contenders too. There is still time for things to change but for now it is Lamine.

Of those mentioned, the strongest candidate is currently Dembele, but in my opinion, Dembele does not deserve it either.
After Messi and Ronaldo, the strongest candidate with his talent and football quality is Yamal, but he cannot receive this award because he is too young.
If Barcelona had won the Champions League, Raphinha would have been the strongest candidate and most likely he would have received the award, but it did not happen. Dembele is the current favorite.
I am also waiting with curiosity. If there is a small chance, I am expecting a Raphinha surprise.

Everything is the other way around  
Yamal has the same level of PR as Messi, maybe he is the new son of FIFA. If this is the case, you will get tired of his Ballon d’Ors, no matter how he plays (I do not deny that he is talented), plus the Spanish national team is very strong, it is very easy to promote him. it's very difficult for yamal to win the ballond'or this year if we go by the stats. he shone towards the end of the year and managed to stand out in important games, but dembele is by far ahead in the overall stats. i would like yamal to win, but dembele is my pick to win the ballond'or this season.

i feel like raphinha was also in the background a lot towards the end. dembele definitely outperformed him. the fact that he was in the team that won the champions league is a big plus. i think the ballond'or will go to dembele with 90% probability.

I'll agree with you, these guys were beasts of successful performance this season. I honestly think that if Barcelona had win the champions League, then no one would've dragged it with Raphinha.

At this moment, it's a very difficult selection among the three. If Ousmane Dembele wins it, then it's a settlement for a well deserved treble this season. He's been very instrumental in the PSG campaign. His contributions had a lot to do with winning the champions League. He showed more maturity and expertise this season as compared to when he was in Barcelona.

I'm surprised how underrated Mbappe in this season.

Mbappe scored 31 goals in this season which make him get European golden boot, Dembele who play in farmer league not even able to get it. Mbappe is only trophyless, but he always carry the team he played.

In individual performance, Mbappe should be on the first position.

I think Dembele is in his most proficient forms throughout his whole career, and they are Chances that he may not play up to this level... Like, he may not keep up with the consistency -- it's not about winning the champions league once, and afterwards, you begin to struggle the home trophies with a team like Metz and USL Dunkerque.

Not wishing them anything bad, but in the area of giving my opinion on who's taking this year's ballon d'Or? Dembele clearly is fit for only one big reason -- The champions League. Of course, that's where champions are seen and known. Yamal will definitely win the ballon d'Or, but not this time.

This thread is wild since when is the Nations League even considered. When Ronaldo won it in 2019 no one cared now people are using it to determine the Ballon D’or winner? Who cares about international performances this year as there is no major tournament to win. It’s clearly Dembele as the top choice. Only PR helping Yamal. Here are my own top three key players which I am speculating that one person among them will win the Balloon d'Or, I nominated the three of them do to their good performance in the clubs they represent, they have been playing very well and they have good skills too, but all the same it is just my own speculation, but I don't know if any person among them will win the Balloon d'Or, but less watch and see how it will go.

I don't agree with you, the stats avoided when deciding your favorites should be included. Real Madrid performance was terrible, losing every opportunity they had to win a trophy makes all their players not approachable for top Ballon d'Or nominee on my list. The players on the radar are Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele, this two players were key contributors, led the team is most games and changed the results.

If i should pick between Yamal and Dembele, based on individual contribution Yamal is more in the chat for the Ballon d'Or compared to Dembele but as for the records, Dembele won the biggest trophy, something Yamal did not, if only Yamal won the Champions League, there would be no drag for winning the Ballon d'Or.
