The funniest thing is that Barcelona fans dumped Rafinha for Yamal, and then are surprised he's only fifth. But overall, this vote is absurd – after all, a bunch of PSG players should be higher. For example, Mendes – a treble with PSG and the Nations League. He was top-notch all season. And he only got 171 points lol. Another example is Mbappé – he changed clubs and adapted perfectly. Whether Real Madrid were bad is another matter entirely. Mbappé didn't lower his level, but he finished 7th in the voting with 378 points.

Again, Barcelona fans were never in support of Raphinha winning the Balloon d'Or, tell why they didn't front their best player for last season which was Raphinha instead they picked Yamal. Honestly, the Ballon D'or voting seemed unfair. I think it prioritizes name value over actual performance. It's disappointing to see Pedri ranked 11th and Cole Palmer 8th. To be honest, the results weren't fair. Pedri deserves better than Cole Palmer, given their performance ratings. Cole Palmer's performance was well recognized in the Club World Cup, but Pedri's achievements warrant a higher ranking, he should be ranked alongside Vitinah.

I was shocked to see Vitinah. ranked above Raphinha that was disappointing also, I knew they both contributed greatly to their clubs success. Raphinha was the better contender, not Yamal, As a Barca fan, I admit Yamal is a media favorite, but Raphinha was denied a top-two spot unfairly. Despite that, I think he deserved better than being ranked below Vitinah. and Salah.

Now,I guess you understand why some of us no longer rate the Ballon D'or highly anymore. In most cases, it's just marketing bullshit (numbers or popularity). The more popular the player, the higher the chances of getting one or ranking higher. All he needs to do to have a few more trophies or goals in his pocket. I am inclined to think that most of the people who vote are just emotional fanboys with no logic so they will always under look a less popular player who has put in a lot of effort for the team throughout the season.

The defunct France Football magazine is dust, while Real Madrid is the world's number one football brand. France Football needs Real Madrid, but Real Madrid doesn't need France Football. This season we saw the French player win the Ballon d'Or and there was no competitor to replace his glory in that regard.However, the list of how many points each player has earned in this competition has already been published and Ousmane Dembele is at the top of the list,He even has more points than the second-placed Spanish player, which has allowed him to maintain his respect. Since the beginning of the previous season, Mbappe was completely out of its form and didn't score for many games until the second half of the season where his ability to score improved. Plus Real Madrid was in a bad shape last year at the time where Barcelona was playing good and Yamal contributed a lot to this success.
Dembele outperformed both of them because PSG season was exceptional and he did way better than what he used to do when he was in Barcelona and contributed largely to the success of his team.
I find it fair for everyone and hard luck for the others next time.

I agree that the first mistake was on PSG: they literally begged him to stay with them and gave him whatever he wanted. When a club becomes hostage of a player there is a serious management problem.Maybe I'm old school but no matter who you are, the club is here to stay, you're not. Fans cheer for the team, not for the single player (well, except the Messi-Ronaldo fans, who usually are from countries with no football tradition).

Leaving the club was the best decision for everyone.

Yes, Raphinha performance for Barcelona last season was commendable, and he helped Barcelona last season as much as Yamal Lamine did, but Raphinha didn't receive the same recognition as Yamal Lamine received for the Ballon d'Or because Barcelona wants Yamal Lamine to win the Ballon d'Or, and they pushed Yamal Lamine for the Ballon d'Or Award more than Raphinha.

Shock? I don't think so how impressive performance of Vitinha helping PSG get treble winner last season he must placed at 3rd position of Ballon D'Or winner, in my opinion Vitinha must placed at 2nd position than Lamine Yamal can't win UEFA Champion League with Barcelona last season and eliminated at semifinal round. However Raphinha is great players and based on my opinion put him higher place than Lamine Yamal because last season he most productive scoring goals than Yamal.

Could be why PSG were not able to win the UCL all the time Mbappe was there. Though he can have to lift it with Madrid seasons from now.
