Well, according to that, if everyone is, let's say, from team X, but knowing that the player from team Y is better and has more awards and more merit, the journalists will choose the player from team X because they like him, that's a fact, the criteria are very qualitative and personal, well, that's how I see it.

I don't think the choices these journalists make have always been fair, but I think they are influenced by UEFA and that these gentlemen apply a bit of psychological pressure to get certain players to vote.
There have been many years where the winners were not the best but the ones the federation liked the most, without mentioning the players we already know who we are talking about.

The strikers and midfielders are the verified key players or playmakers In the team, they're the ones that does the most job, when in comparison with the defenders. However I'm also of the opinion that there should be an award specifically for the defenders, then a player will take general award which will be given as the overall best player award.

Every player or position is important in football. A football team works like a system with subsystems (positions). Any subsystem that malfunctions will affect the entire system adversely.

Defenders are important because without quality players in the position, a team will concede many cheap goals. The reason why strikers and midfielders are given more priority in the Ballon d'Or award is that they contribute more to goals.

If winning this award is based on trophy wise then I think Dembele will definitely win the award because the dude has more trophy than Lamine Yamal but if it not rated by trophy wise then Lamine Yamal will win the award because what Lamine Yamal is playing at his age, no player, no legendary or hero has done it at this particular age that yamal is now and so it is an encouraging one and giving him the award will also motivate and boost his zeal and passion in football but the thing is if Dembele doesn't win this award he can never win it again but Lamine Yamal still has time and it is possible he can win in the future.

For as long as I can remember, the Ballon d'Or goes to the player who is awarded it because he has won almost all the competitions, including the UCL, and who has scored the most goals. So, in view of this, they are now diverting it to biases that make no sense For example, I never agreed when they gave it to Messi and not Lewandowski, when they gave it to Rodri and not Vini, those things are disappointing. Don't be surprised that they give it to the immature child Yamal.

In my opinion Dembele is the most deserving and deserving Ballon d'Or winner this year. He successfully led PSG to a treble last season. I still remember that Vinicius as the most favourite even from the table he was leading the total votes but few weeks before FIFA announce the winner his position is taking over by Rodri and at the end we see Rodri is the winner of Ballon d'Or and this condition too makes Real Madrid looks dissapoint and if i am not mistaken they didn't sent their representative to Ballon d'Or award ceremony

I think Ballon d'Or have lost it's value because some of controversial decision this also caused some players didn't pursuing anymore this award and speaking about the winner currently Ousmane Dembele in the first position and i would be very agree if he choosen because with PSG he won the trophy from almost all of the current competitions such as Ligue 1 and champion league trophy

I agree, but from what I've seen, the guys (the jury) who choose the winner seem to focus more on the attackers. I say this because look at Messi's case, the guy won many Ballon d'Ors. If he hadn't retired from playing for some big European team, I believe he would still be winning Ballon d'Ors today, and he's a striker.

These judges don't care about other positions, at least that's what I think. It's true that they can put together several categories so that each one wins in their category, but their main focus is on the attackers, and preferably someone who shines on the team and the national team, which was the case with Messi.

That's very correct, all positions are relevant in football and when  one position is performing poorly it drags behind the efforts of the others. Midfield is one very important position in football, in fact, midfield is the engine room of a team performance in a game. Not to go too far, just watching the game between Bayern Munich Vs Chelsea in the UCL, immediately Munich captured the midfield they had control of the game on all sides and Chelsea were left frustrated to their defeat. That's how important the midfield is.

Maybe this the very first post I'm on here in agreement with you.   But then, there's no way they're voting for Lamine Yamal this year as the best player. It's got to be Ousman Dembele fr fr he's both played the Champions League Competition finals and also the club world cup finals. Also to add to your post is awarding Lionel Messi rather than Erling Haaland. This time, I'm sure it would be difficult as hell to not award the right candidate.

The domination of Ronaldo and Messi in Ballon d'Or finally over that i think the winner for upcoming years probably will be different athletes not dominated by one or 2 person only so, people didn't boring anymore to see the winner repeatedly and for Dembele if we look at to his achievement i think he really deserved to get this award and probably this is predictable because as i said before he is the strong candidate but if we look back years nobody will thought Dembele will be able to bounce back after hard struggle in Barcelona and seems moved to PSG is the right decision for him because in this team we can see he can reach to his shape again
