I was also confused at the initial stage, but with proper research and the right questions, I was able to understand how one an legitimately earn from the forum.  And one of the legit ways to start earning is through Signature Campaigns

This is were patience comes in most of this paid campaigns requires you to be at least a Full Member before you are being accepted. So do well to rank up while still abiding by the rules and regulations of this forum( see the rules in the Beginners and Help sections).

👩‍🔧4 Simple Steps on how to join an Active Campaign
1) Grow your rank by being active on the forum and contributing daily. As I have said some paid Campaigns requires you to reach at least Full Member before you can apply.
2) Apply for a campaign by visiting  Marketplace>Services, and look for open signature campaigns. Do well to read the rules there before participating in any campaign.
3) Each campaigns has a posting target mostly 10-15 post weekly.  Ensure you follow the rules and post accordingly if not you will be underpaid or not even paid at all.
4) Getting paid. Most campaigns pays in Bitcoin or other crypto, so ensure you have a wallet address. The higher your rank, the higher you get paid.

NOTE that this post was made to  motivate people mostly especially the beginner to never give up but to keep pushing, and this is exhibited through your daily contribution to the forum.  Thank you

You're a newbie, I don't blame you for thinking that signature campaigns are the only ways to earn from the forum. There's are other numerous ways to earn too and that includes, but not limited to

• Review campaigns
• Offering your services(personal skills) to interested forum members
• being a campaign manager
• being a forum staff

There are people already earning from the above listed earning channels and if you are qualified. You could be one.

Starting with expectation of earning income will always be a disaster, at least that was my experience when I tried it on Blogger & Youtube 11 years ago. Since then I have never set earning money as a goal & shifted to making articles & videos as useful as possible for people, if it doesn't result in earning money, then at least I have helped someone out there. During my time here, I saw there are many unique ways to make money besides signature campaigns.

(1) Offer services.
(2) Review campaigns.
(3) Or just have fun in Games and rounds & hoping you are the lucky one.

Also, actually rank is not the limit or barrier to get it, you know, since I joined here, I have already earned $115, isn't that worth it?

To join a review campaign or become a campaign manager, you are not required to join a signature campaign first, as those are separate things. You can see some review campaigns on the Bounties (Altcoins) board, even newbies also participated there. The hard part is being a campaign manager in my opinion, it's a professional field, you need to have a good portfolio & be trusted to go there.

Nice question,to review a campaign simply means to rate and give critics about a company here on bitcointalk.You must be a participant of that campaign before you participate in a review campaign.I think I've participated once on a review campaign here,then I wasn't even a participant in the campaign, here is my review about the casino.So you mustn't actively be a member of a signature campaign first before participating on a review campaign.While a campaign manager is a user who manages a campaign here on bitcointalk,they employ participants to advertise a company and the manager and participants are paid for advertising a company here on bitcointalk,it could be casinos or exchange.

Perhaps a lot of people are already adding your post or you to ignore list for making this kind of thread, because basically this community is a place of growth for your bitcoin knowledge but at the side of this people do get benefits for being so acting helping and getting helped out in this forum and thous signature campaigns partition is one.

I will ask you to clear your mind from earns over learning, do you know that those who earn already learned, it's about learning and not earning is the benefit for learning, best you start finding you the real knowledge and other stuffs than get fixed on earning it will cost you a lot of things as desperateness will step in and ruin time here.

@OP, this is clearly your desire right now; to rank up quickly and start earning immediately. This is obviously the reason why you have taken time to research how to earn from the forum and have been benevolent enough to share your thoughts with the forum.

Infusing the thoughts of earning money into the minds of newbies will only lead them into hunting for merits in order to rank up while ignoring the essence of the forum and the actual roles of members of this forum. Earning should only be their secondary aim.

Of course they are numerous ways of earning but signature campaigns happens to be one of the numerous ways, it was clearly stated in the post.
NB : The essence of this post was to motivate the newbies like myself to never give up but to continue pushing and this can be exhibited through their learning, asking the right questions and then making their own contributions. This was also stated in the post

I usually don't expect this kind of post from a newbie, so I regret to see it. The goal of joining this forum shouldn't be to earn from here. Because this isn't a freelance platform, and there is not any official earnings ecosystem. If you have a skill, you may earn from any freelance platform, including this forum as well. But it's all about third-party payment systems and not related to the forum.

I know you can earn from the signature campaign, but you have to walk a long way for that. And this shouldn't be your goal for joining this forum anyway. Instead, you should motivate newbies to engage in constructive discussions and improve themselves. Then contribute to the forum.

Agree on this. Such thoughts come from third world country users, it doesn't mean I'm against signature campaigns, if it came to me, I would probably take it. But that's not the final goal. Would you mind to see this? it even comes from high ranked user on their local board.

None of them require you to join an active campaign before you can take part in any of them. Review campaigns are for the purpose of testing the services of a platform and give feedback of what you think about them and what they need to adjust. While a campaign manager just needs to help manage the campaign of a company here in the forum. You can still take part in any of them even without participating in any signature campaign unless the rule says otherwise which will make you qualify for it or not on review campaigns or a deal a person signs with their campaign representative in the forum privately.

OP is not a newbie on the forum but the nth alternative account, which can be easily identified not only in the future but also at this stage. Sadly, joining the signature company for current newbies is becoming a primary task on the forum. In its announcement, there is not a word about the very purpose of the forum, that is, that the forum provides vast knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Knowledge obtained on the forum can be of much greater benefit to those who possess it, but current newbies, unfortunately, completely forget about this; they are overcome by greed, starting dozens of alts.


OP, the signature company is a privilege of the forum. Do not be confused; the forum is not about earnings, but about knowledge. All your alternative accounts are simply exchanged for trifles, instead of getting a single account with a reputation.

There is no harm in hoping to earn from a signature campaign, it is one of the privileges we got in the forum but never see it as a source of income, see it as just a bonus for your activity in the forum such as sharing ideas and also learning from others but OP, you still have a long way to go and it will be very good if you focus more on reading and learning at this very young age of your account rather than think about the benefits you can get from the forum if you were up to the level of earning from a signature campaign. Perhaps, signature campaigns always come and go but the forum remains, what does that tell you? Be more committed to the activity in the forum.

It is not the what, but the how that matters.

In most lines of businesses, you only make money from providing value to customers (except for certain industries such as robbery, begging, etc.)

It is not much different for online forums. In fact, it is my belief that you can make money on almost any forum, as long as it's large enough and you're providing a valuable resource.

Forums are just smaller, more focused versions of social media anyway.

No newbie, you're surely starting of on a wrong foot. You shouldn't be much interested in earning now, but learning about the forum and cryptocurrency to the extent that you start adding valuable contributions to the forum, unless of course you're an alt account if someone who's already earning from the forum.

You should be more interested in providing value to the forum in order to grow and earn qualitatively.

Don't get distracted for now, there's still a long way to go before you start earning consistently. For now, focus on what matters more and it's engaging qualitatively in the forum and growing your account to earning phase.

I see that signature campaign is an advantage that the forum can give users at a later stage and not at the beginning ( is that not the reason for this beginners and help board? for learning about what the forum teaches).

There is a place for learning in everything will do and as we grow we understand certain things naturally. Signature campaign is not only what we can benefit, it can even take more time than learning how to trade. I have seen the trading board and have read some traders that are sharing their mistakes and challenges, that is also an area of this forum that can benefit users. Signature campaign is not for new comers because you need to understand the ranks and how to climb the ropes before getting to signature. It is good that you later have some benefit while you have learnt about the forum purpose like understanding cryptocurrency and its terminologies, wallets and their types, Blockchain, mining etc.

OP, you should always remember "Signature is a privilege, not a right". There is no guarantee that the forum will stay the way it is now. Nobody knows whether theymos will disable signatures in the future. So I wouldn't be so sure about advising newbies to rank up fast and try to enroll themselves in the sigs.

Also, this will encourage newbies to try to accumulate as much merit as possible, even if it means abuse. This forum is a hub of knowledge about crypto, remember that. We are here to learn, not to jump into earning right way. This is not an earning platform like Upwork or Fiverr. There isn't any real world work here. Signatures are just temporary things.

I suggest you take a different approach. Advise about leaning skills, have backup plans.

Another thing, there has been a discussion about the merit system being reworked. So, there is a high chance that the merit system will undergo certain changes/upgrades/improvements. And who know, maybe it would be harder than now, who knows it would be disabled. Fingers crossed.

You're here on this forum for less than a fifteen days and seems you are over thinking about ranking up and earning money from those signature campaigns by advertising them.

But, what you said about only full member and above higher ranks are only being able to get enroll into signature campaigns is not totally correct. Didn't you see some higher rank members post without any ads in their signature? Quality of post matters (even you don't need to be active daily and neither daily posting habits) has been said couple of multiple times by reputable og's.

If you are dead serious on earning money by using this forum you can utilize it properly and can do certain money generating business/jobs over here as:

-If have a web developing/coding/graphic design related knowledge you can search a related project accordingly.
-Can join an auctions/drawing/craft competition organised by forum members can make huge bucks out there.
-If have huge money saved in your bank, you can start here a lending business/coin exchanging/escrow service (solid commission).
-sig campaigns (as an alternative) and so on.

I've seen often new newbies come here aiming only to join signature campaigns keeps targeting towards only to ranking up their rank into this forum, so can achieve their goal by using those ai bots and couple of with alts for bettement of their comments. At end, they only endup wasting their own time and getting into trouble without achieving anything, that's sucks.

So, lower ranked member have lot more of time for the self improvement. No much rush.

You're making it sound like this forum is only for signature campaigns. While i do agree, lately it's been basically that, this forum stands for more.
This is the birthplace of BTC discussion, and it should be treated with more respect than just "oh go to forum, write some bullshit and get paid for it"
