About Launch an Event in Games and rounds

Long story short, I made a nice profit from the latest BTC pump, to share some happiness & joy with forum members, I would like to launch event such as BTC prediction contest for the coming month, but as far as I see, those events are always related to services & business, you can say it like gambling platform etc.

The question is, can I launch an event that I created myself without any connection to those businesses?

Of course, you can show your generosity there.. I don’t think it’s against the forum rules. And even if it turns out that’s not the right section to launch it, the mods will probably just move it to where it belongs anyway. Just go ahead and start it; I’m sure I’ll be one of the many joining the prediction contest.

To be specific, I'm referring to "Post in this thread for free x". That belongs in Games and Rounds. Though it isn't limited to that, in general you shouldn't be giving people incentives to post in your thread, it's disruptive to actual discussion.

It might be better if the price is going to be in Bitcoin as there could be a lot of us that is going to be interested to join.

Just simply have our username and then our Bitcoin address so that in cases we won, you can simply gave that price to that address. In any case, good luck to you this is the first time that I have heard a newbie willing to share an his winning from the Bitcoin pump.

You can only give Bitcoin as the prizes, it should be posted in this section Games and rounds

If you plan to give prizes in other asset, AFAIK it's not allowed in this forum because there's no board accept it (giveaways in bounties are not allowed)

I hope you’re already convinced that your plan won’t violate any forum rules. So, when are you planning to launch it? And how much will the prize be? A bigger prize will definitely attract more participants, but honestly, no matter the amount, as long as it’s free to join, it will always catch attention. Especially since you’ve already created this thread ahead of the actual prediction contest.

You can do it, but since you want to do it yourself without any interest from a particular brand, maybe you should design the terms and conditions wisely for the participants who will attend your event. Especially to limit the participants with alt accounts. Free events with big prizes must attract attention. Good luck with your event.

I plan to launch it at the end of this month, then about the prizes, I hope you don't have high expectations because this is not about promoting a business or anything like that.

Technically it's not allowed, I think many users aren't aware with that and the participants choose to silent instead of report the thread, even one of the staff not aware too.

I've report the first thread because it's already ended, let's see what the moderator will do, usually it takes around 24 hours.

If that thread stays, I think we can create a thread in Meta to get more clarification.
