This is a call to safeguard users crypto wallet from scmmers especially the air drop participants. Fake Airdrops impersonate legitimate project tricking users into revealing their private keys, signing malicious contracts, or paying upfront fees that lead to irreversible thefts. The following are social signs that airdrops is s scam. It includes
1.Request for private keys, seed phrases
2.Upfront gas fees or crypto payments.
3.Fake social proof or bot comments
4.unrealistic rewards promises etc.
I think there are other signs not included, add your thoughts here.
1. Anyone who asks for private keys, seed phrases is 101% scammers. You should be the only one who do know about these informations and its one of the golden rule on securing your assets.
2. Not all projects that involves volume based tasks or transactions are scams, this is why when you have point up yourself into such project then do things on discretion.
3. Its easy to spot out, it is just that people are that way too lazy on doing that and this is why they do end up on being scammed because they havent done some validation about organic or real users compared into those bots.
4. If the rewards are too good to be true then you should be starting on having the doubt. Usually they would be putting up $1M worth of token rewards on which newbies do easily get fooled because they are already spotting out with fiat value.
Some additional.
5. Check tokenomics whether the team had been holding a huge amount of tokens or allocation owned by them on which you can say that there's a potential that there will be some dump later on.
In overall, there's no way that you can be able to know ahead whether a project will be giving out those rewards in the end of the program/bounty/tasks because there are those situations that
they turned out to be nice and legit at first and then when TGE approaches then this is where shady action would be starting out to play.
