How I made more than thousand from an airdrop

 Once again, an airdrop has finally made myself and a friend rich, proving that it's one of the aspects of Web3 that people should take seriously. A couple of months ago, I was discouraged from yapping airdrop that is basically Defi asset, but i didn't answer as i went on with $HOME, with some saying it might not list and would be a waste of time. But I kept at it, and today is the day my hard work on X paid off. I was allocated a significant amount, and it is getting listed on CEXs, netting me over thousand dollars. I'm definitely depositing half of my allocation on CEXs with the highest potential for more opportunities and staking the remaining ones.

Anyone can do that and make it appear that the cryptocurrency purchased on the exchange came from airdrops, maybe the communities aren't that stupid these days, right? This is just my assessment.

Decentralized Finance airdrops are one of the most profitable you can ever think and if you are able to invest in them through staking, you are guaranteed that you can make significant amounts of money from the market. I know many people that are defi airdrop hunters that are making serious profits from different projects. Congratulations to you and I wish you more profits from the defi world as soon as possible.

Lol i don't seem convincing people to anything, my only take in my post shows how yapping is giving myself and some airdrop hunters money on X, the main reason why i come here often to share my wins and losses is just for educational sake so people can know what is trending and do their research and if you see the first picture of my allocation that is $HOME so it not possible to buy allocation on CEXs, but rather buy the coin when it is listed only.

Yeah, most of us are not into airdrop anymore as we all know that it's not longer profitable as it used to before. And to be honest, this is the first time that I have heard this token. But I have nothing against the OP, it seems that you are really good at it and hunting those precious airdrops and profited big.

Congratulations, you just happened to pick the right airdrop to participate in. I still maintain that airdrops are like a box of chocolates; you never know what you'll pick.
Not all airdrops are the same; you need to exercise due diligence and thoroughly check out the potential. Some parameters to check are the allocation and the number of participants.
You have to equate it; for example, if there are millions of members and the allocation is 10 million, and you are not in the top 1000, then you have an idea of your expectations.

It's always great to profit from unexpected opportunities in crypto market, although you should be aware it's not evidence this is a good investment. This time you were on the right place at the right time, but if you keep doing this, you will start losing money at some point, just like late investors of $HOME inevitably will... I don't think it's a good idea to allocate 50% of your portfolio on altcoins. It's too unstable and too risky.

I think it's better to invest in Bitcoin with most of your funds, while allocating a small percentage of it to altcoins. You already made an outstanding profit from this, so why to insist further? It's like the gambler who managed to make decent profit, but still continue gambling for more, until he loses all the progress made so far.

We are forgetting a very important part of his message, which he mentioned that the coin is going to get listed, which means his airdrop rewards can't be traded yet and at that we have no actual amount that reward will give, until eventually if when it gets listed, and how much is worth on the exchange, from then we can discuss other things like how lucky the ops is to have received such amount via airdrop.

Nothing has been done? I thought you did them already? Maybe you mean to say none of them paid off? But I think that's also unbelievable. If you join a lot of them and these aren't just random but also came from the top users of the forum, then some should pay something because those users can also do a good research on them. I can see that you are still hanging on but it is seems crucial for you to stop now. Maybe wait a little more because they might really get launched and they can give you something.

I remember the times that I'm on and off on airdrops. You can do that too if you feel heavy already. Sometimes all we need is a break (a good one is much better) , and then surprisingly once we come back, things are now better again for us, at least for a while.

Haven't checked out what happened with the project but congrats if you made good money from the airdrop. I used to participate in airdrops but then 99% of the tokens were useless and scam so I stopped taking part in all these airdrops. There was a time when you could easily make a few hundred dollars every month just by collecting various airdrops throughout the month.

The problem with most airdrops is that the people who got free tokens will just dump it right on listing and the price plummets brutally. Sometimes even the token owners would dump as well, so it's not even a bad idea to dump.

Good luck with that. Based on my experience, airdrops aren't really worth your time. Most of them have strict requirements, often leaving you out of the distribution process. You'd need to be a regular participant of "De-Fi" protocols with the hopes of qualifying for the next airdrop. And most of the time, this involves investing a certain amount of money (like trading at least $100 worth of ETH) to be able to qualify.

I'd say the OP got extremely-lucky. The only airdrop I did earn was the Uniswap one. Made thousands in return. After that, I didn't have the same success. I'd suggest the OP to invest that money wisely for even greater earnings in the long run. Tokens can easily lose value as they hype quickly fades away. Better take advantage of the situation before it's too late. Hopefully, developers will make airdrops more "flexible" to help increase the chances of eligibility.

Your friend might be lucky, we have really passed the era of airdrops, but that doesn’t mean some airdrop won’t still be paying, but just few airdrop are paying right now, and it’s always so difficult to even know the one that’s going to pay reasonable amount of money.

I have once participated in airdrops before, and I made some good amount of money during that period, I have to stop participating in all those airdrops at some points because I notice it’s no longer paying. You can participate in let me say 20 different airdrops, and maybe 5 will pay and other will end up being a scam, and the 5 which paid, what you will be getting if all are combined might not even be more than $20, so it doesn’t even worth it.

But even as airdrops are no longer paying, if you participate in different ones, then you might end up being lucky, and one will pay some amount of money at the end, but I will say it doesn’t worth the stress, but if you think you can do it, then it’s fine, and if you still participating in airdrops, then don’t give up, you might be lucky one day, but for me have given up already.

Alot of them feel abit lke pyramid schemes looking for participants to airdrops free little tokens and make the large holders rich.
Seen many attractive ones, but they hardly meet my criteria for great projects so I hardly participate even though I go through their offers, almost on a daily basis . I'm in for good/fair projects before profit, especially for the sake of being part of the communities long-term, really hard to find one.
Money earn from scams,  poorly made or bad stuff is cursed, weightless as balloon and never satisfying or well used. I suggest people avoid it, and that will make the airdrop space less attractive to bad actors who are in it for quick gains

Dude, even the guy's windows are not active. He may have done as you said, he may be showing the tokens he bought from the exchange, make sense. As for airdrops, I haven't heard of any good airdrops in recent months, maybe because I don't follow them anymore. But if there was an airdrop like the old ones, I think I would have heard of it. Like Uniswap or other similar airdrops. I'm trying to be very selective about airdrops now.
