Gambling success is not just about what a gambler has been able to win from gambling, but I think gambling stories should be more about how one is able to handle gambling activities and how one is able to control addiction. Getting rid of addiction is what I consider as gambling success. Gambling is about loss and gain, and even if one loses, it doesn't mean one has failed. If one is able to control loss by gambling with the money one can afford to lose, that is a success. Emotional control in gambling is also a success story because there are some gamblers for whom this is a challenge.

Lottery bettors, for example, most of them won't even need to play the lottery again because of the big amount they will receive after winning. Another success story is the FedEx guy, who won it and ran away, used the won money to recover his business.

I will pick stories of how people used gambling to overcome depression or how excessive gambling caused negative health problems. Now, if the focus of writer is to reduce gambling activities his success stories will be how people become better when they stopped gambling.

But it is important to state that gambling success stories exceeds recovering from gambling addiction. There are some gamblers who have been entertained by gambling and other have invested big wins in profitable ventures.

Everyone has his own scale for success. Some consider recovery as a success, some a huge win, but for someone any win is already a success. In my believe, gambling success stories can be of the recovery aspect from addiction and also if a gambler win huge amount. Like someone said before, if a gambler has battled with gambling addiction for a long time and through the help of some methods they became free from the addiction, that's a successful story for a gambler. Secondly, if a gambler has been betting or gambling for many years without winning any huge amount and they luckily win a huge amount (a life changing reward), that's also a success story.

Despite hearing it's good, we still act carefully and think that gambling ensures nothing. Winning is not for everyone, and much more so becoming rich from gambling. There are lots of these success stories which are not on the internet. I know of someone who needed to raise money to perform some African traditional burial rites for his dad who had just passed on. The date was fixed for it, but he had no money yet to perform the rites and entertain the guests who would be coming, according to African culture. One day, he summoned the courage to place bets with the last money he had, and boom! He won.

This story above is a true-life story I witnessed in my neighbourhood. However, I will still warn that it should never serve as a motivation for anyone to try to use their last money to gamble with the hope that they are going to win. They may not be as lucky as the person in my story.

But to be honest, recovery stories still remain the greatest gambling success stories ever. If you have never been faced with gambling addiction or depression as a result of your huge loss, or if you don't have any close person who is seriously battling with gambling problems, you will not understand why people celebrate recovery as a success.

I keep wondering how someone who was addicted to gambling and was cured can be considered a success story in gambling. For some reason I don't know, I have also seen many cases of people who were addicted to gambling and then go on TV shows and tell their stories. The title that the TV shows use is: "Success story that person X had in gambling."

A person who was successful in gambling should be someone who won a lot of money and came out of gambling rich. But unfortunately, many TV channels and newspapers that serve governments distort this word success and paint a very bad image of gambling.

I think there are first time winners and those too who have not encountered so much loses before they got their jackpot and so they can't recount their winning as a come back, but they are few compared to those who won after losing life savings. I know of such winners that newly started gambling but won more than they lost. However, at a time they started losing at the long run.

We don't know the number of people who have succeeded in gambling, but I remember a story about a friend in my city who won the jackpot. He was a grocer who, despite making a lot of sales, became addicted to gambling and at some point his grocery store closed due to losses. But who can stop someone with good luck? He won the jackpot by betting like that and he is currently in a better position than he normally is, but the sad thing is that he has not been able to stop himself from going so far. Once you pull off from something which is as rough as stable losing and addiction, it should be celebrated.

That's true and it definitely serves as a success story for some people.Recovery from gambling addiction completely is indeed a success story because it entails conquering and winning over a deep emotional, mental and financial struggle as in instability and their overall wellbeing and that's why the recovery from it;it's so significant to the victims.

Someone got addicted into something that can ruin his life but he stopped to be addicted to it. That is a good success story. The reason some people that supposed to be successful do not successful is because they are getting something wrong and that thing is affecting them financially. It is more than a success to to people.

It is good to gamble in a way that is responsible and not get addicted at all.

For me, it is, if your life has been ruined by gambling because of carelessness, recovering your life is already a success story, because it's not easy to get up and get rid of addiction, its really a struggle, gambling is only good if you are disciplined enough to treat it as an entertainment the end goal of gambling is having fun and be entertained if your goal is to make money then you in risks of getting yourself addicted.

In my opinion, success in gambling is not about how much you have won because it is impossible for someone to achieve life-changing success in an activity that depends on probability.
For me, success in gambling is when you manage to maintain yourself, manage and balance everything well or in other words avoid things that are not desired in the long term.

If we do speak about success then it should be that pertaining about into huge wins that could be changed up your life and not on the moment or time that you do be able to recover from gambling addiction on which this is always be the main issue.
