I know it is NO in relation to the reason I am asking the question. Let me assume I may be wrong, which is the reason for this question. Albon is right about this but I noticed people have not yet posted there which is the reason I created this on technical board for people to know about it. Here is it: Warning: SeedCheckPro is a Scam! All I see about this is a scam. I will remove the negative trust if anyone give a valid reason it is not a scam.

Technically, you can, within some limit of "recent".
If you have a copy of the UTXO set, you can do a balance check even if you are not online. However, this copy of the UTXO set becomes outdated the moment another block is found, although for many people, being within a couple days is most likely okay.
Even so, with a UTXO set copy, you're looking at something that is on the order of several GB of data, which will have to be downloaded from somewhere at some point in time.
Otherwise, any claims of checking a balance offline is probably a scam.

I will remove the negative trust if anyone give a valid reason it is not a scam. Of course it's a scam. I have no problem believing there are still people who download and install unknown software to create or enter seed phrases. Self-custody is not for everyone, and all we can do is warn them.

I remember few years ago someone posted that people sent bitcoin without any internet, but it was done using radio connection. So maybe in theory there is a way to also check bitcoin balance using radio signal, but I doubt fishy Seedcheckpro you posted has anything to do with that.

No matter what is used be it packet radio, light beams, a mesh network, carrier pigeon etc at some point there MUST be an internet connection at the end of that trail that connects with the BTC network to be able to access it and get/send information to it. Period.

You mean this: Yes, you can check Bitcoin balances offline without downloading the entire blockchain by using a hardware wallet or a wallet that supports Simplified Payment Verification (SPV). These methods allow you to verify transactions using only a portion of the blockchain data.
This is absolutely wrong, but just the offline part. The person is trying to differentiate between full clients (full node) and SPV (light clients) wallets. You still need the Internet to synchronize your wallet with the blockchain.

I guess it would be great to have offline money for time when internet is not working... oh wait a minute, we already have that and it's called CASH Hardware wallets are not downloading the entire blockchain, and you can't download anything if you don't have internet connection. Maybe some wallets and hardware wallets can show the last balance of your coins, but that can be different from the actual amount.

Here is it: Warning: SeedCheckPro is a Scam! All I see about this is a scam. I will remove the negative trust if anyone give a valid reason it is not a scam. I don't think there's a need to remove the negative tag because it will be difficult to have a satisfying response from them which should be regarded as a valid reason. It is worrisome to see Seedcheckpro promising offline check without giving a full explanation on how they intend to provide an up to date UTXO set or even a legit method to sync a UTXO set offline. There's no way SeedCheckPro can begin to promise you an offline check of your bitcoin balance in real time without syncing with the updated version of the blockchain mined online unless if they only want to allow you store your old UTXO set locally which probably gives you the ability to view your past data of bitcoin balances offline, anything outside that cannot be achieved offline for the singular reason that you need to have access to the internet to be able to access the latest UTXO set.

Yes, you can, but it will only be in BTC, not in fiat obviously.
You can load transactions from a file into Bitcoin Core or something that you make on another computer to keep updating the balance.

You can also read this forum offline. You just "need internet" to download the webpages as html files and then transfer them to an offline computer to open it in a browser Yes, you can, but it will only be in BTC, not in fiat obviously.
If you are going through the effort of transferring transaction history to an offline machine, you can also transfer the price (history) alongside it, then it's just a matter of calculating btc-balance * btc-price...

a land line phone with pushbutton options will allow you to check a cc balance and a bank balance. So maybe you could do that. Setup up a server that takes in a btc addy and checks its balance all on a push button old school land line phone. my issue is who cares about checking an address on the net.

Good morning Sir ! 1) Answer to the question - No, you cannot check your Bitcoin balance without the internet — at least not in real-time or with up-to-date accuracy 2)I absolutely agree with you! How can you trust your seed phrases to third parties? Or download some strange files to your computer. Now in 2025, almost everyone knows that this cannot be done. Probably hackers hope to deceive some fools or old people, I don't know. Friends, be reasonable and don't believe everything you are told!
