It would be good to use the word betting and not gambling. People still misuse these words, but you are referring to sport betting right? That is betting and not gambling. Gambling is used to refer to games in casinos and not betting.

First time I placed a bet  on dog race, I had fun in the process. I decided to watch the game live. Through out that week I began watching dog racing sports on my tv. Although I did not become a core fan because I also have a different sport I am obsessed with. But within that period, I enjoyed the game.

Of course, most of the people in this forum where never sport people and had never for once there live liked to be a fan of a club but because they are in a campaign that is required to post in gambling board it has made them to begin to see reasons with people who are sport fans and hence even gamble because they are part of a gambling campaign. so of course everything is possible if you see someone say they are only interested in a sport because they want to gamble, yeah it could be true.

I don't think so, the love of sports should come first, it's hard to analyze and understand the many meanings and terms of the sport if you do not have an interest.
Interest is everything; it will make you want to explore the things you are interested in, and you will end up hating the sport because you're not getting the result that you are expecting.

In general, people start to gamble in some specific sports because they have felt some affinity to them since a long time ago and they believe to have enough knowledge to be able to get profits from their experience. That is the usual pipeline from turning into a gambler from being a fan of some sport, like football or basketball. On the other hand, it is indeed possible for some people to get into sports because their wish to make a buck out of it thanks to betting, but that implies they need to learn first about the sport and the most important leagues within such discipline before starting to bet on bookies, otherwise they inexperience will play against them.

It is possible, but I would personally not recommend it. If one does not feel passion on sports, then it is more difficult to get involved on it and keep oneself informed and up-to-date with information which could make the difference.

I can agree with you on this as you are already dedicating some of your resources, not only your time, hence, you will have some kind of affinity to that particular sports. And when you are winning, you will have some kind of emotional investment to this sports as you feel you are lucky to venture into this sports. With such connection, you will feel that it is your new favorite sports that you can watch out for. As you are getting familiar with the favorites and the underdogs, the tendency is to keep following them and with that, not only money you are investing here but also your time.

So many people has become a football fans due to betting, even me initially I didn't like watching football but after betting my games definitely I will want to watch the match to see the selected team there performance.
Watching football matches makes it easier when analysing matches and also in determining the team that is in good condition or not.Also it gives gambler the needed knowledge to be able to make or pick the rights team to play while betting.Though it doesn't mean while selecting or picking any team to bet on that I will prioritise my favourite clubs, no my selection is basically on teams strength. I believe majority of the people who do bet every day has developed a great love for sports as a result of sports gambling.

Many people become sports lovers after they bet. This activity that is done continuously will make them love a particular sport that often brings them to victory from the bets they make. they become fans of a particular club/team after they make repeated bets on the team and provide benefits when betting. There are many bettors who do not want to analyze sports, they follow the fomo of people around them before they really understand the sport. This happens to two people in my village, they do not understand at all the team they choose to bet on, but only because of fomo. Until finally both of them become Madrid fans and MU fans and their analysis is better than those who love football earlier than these 2 people.

If they are destined to bet on a particular team then they don't even need to understand the sport, they have to bet everytime the team is playing against someone and they can win quite a few times.

I bet on random sports rarely but I just pick that based on the odds not really due to the interest of the game and if someone really pick the bet because they enjoy the game then they are already a fan but quite not completely yet. People got their own ways of doing it and we are no judge to say what they can and can't be.

I am one example of such sport fans, because before now I am not a fan of sport games most especially footballs and for that most times I don't watch or even follow up with anything that relates to football games, but as time goes on, I become active more on the gambling discussion section and began to bet of few sport game from there I developed interest in sport games and now I spend most weekends watching footballs and no one have right to the remote if and when I am watching a football match.

Any game that has to do with predicting and analyzing is under the category of betting. I have seen people who fall under that line of their major reason why they started living football ball matches and following it up is because they want to equip themselves with knowledge that they want to use for betting. Ordinarily, since they are not sports fans, it's difficult for them to make their predictions based on the available data they see online, so they decide to join by being a fan. Will that have a negative effect on time? I can't really tell; it should be personal. Everyone has different levels of how they can handle things and how they can allow it to influence them.

That’s not correct - sports betting wasn’t invented before the sport itself. It’s always been the sport first, then sports betting came later. For me, I learned to love sports first, and only got into sports betting when it became more popular. I can’t speak for everyone, but I believe most of us who bet on sports started out as fans first before we ever placed a bet. And there are still plenty of pure sports fans out there who don’t gamble at all.

Just like you bet on Pacquiao, you win at first. Now, since you win on the first fight, suddenly you are paying more attention to him, watching his fights, hoping for another win, and becoming a sports fan.
You've become a sports fan because you win from betting on your favorite. That's normal, I guess, for newbies. They are attracted to sports than slots because you will end up losing on slots in the long term except if you are lucky.

Well, it is not that bad because it is even better than people who go into gambling without having an understanding of sports games. By doing this, I feel one must choose not to gamble blindly. And if one has chosen to have an interest in sports because of gambling and is gambling responsibly, then I don't think this is wrong. There is nothing bad about having an interest in gambling, but the most important thing is for a gambler to gamble responsibly, only with an amount that can be afforded to lose. A gambler who is concerned about managing gambling risk should have an understanding of the game they place bets on.

I was never a sports' fan in the past, and rarely ever watched football, basketball and perhaps any kind of sport. I was only into cycling when I was a teenager but I'm no longer a cyclist. When I first started gambling, I would only fiddle around with the casino's games, such as Crash, Dice, Crazytime and a few others as well, but I slowly progressed into sports betting. I started with betting on a few football matches, mostly in the Greek Super League, and eventually I started participating in every weekend's matches. Ive seen people who are into sports fan becomes a gambler because they knew how does the game works, how does the player and the team make a game play to score so they will use  their skills and knowledge on the game to win and earn an extra money, and otherwise too there are a gambler who does not really into the game but upon they make a bet they got curious on how does the game works and how to play so afterwards they knew now where to make a bet and the bias are getting form sooner or later they love the game now which actually happens to me before I don't have a knowledge with the football but afterwards enjoying with the game I now become fan of it.

Personally, I have been aiming on becoming a fan of F1 racing majorly because of gambling and a little bit because of the interest conversations that I have been reading about the sports and I guess this could be considered an example of someone becoming a sport fans because of gambling.

I don’t see anything wrong with that. If you want to bet and make those bets succeed, of course you have to study your game and love it, so if you want to bet on sports, then you have to be familiar on it and make some efforts to know the background of every sport. That way, even if you can’t win all the time, at least you can minimize committing losses.

Yes, it happens, but only sometimes I'd say. Because most people who sport betting love specific sports, sometimes they become more analytics on some details by observing the matches, games, biased, until they realize they can make money if their favorite/biased team/player wins. So why not.

Unlike the other way around, gambler who like traditional casino, slots, dice, blackjack, where its luck based. Once they realize its hard to win there, they tend to realize that sports betting is better to gain, slow, smaller profit where you can choose who will win by analysing the odds, so yeah, a gambler who become sports fan is possible.
