Hello Bitcointalk community,

I want to alert the community about a serious and ongoing issue with kycnah.io. I’ve been monitoring their website for over three days, and it has both domains remained offline during this entire period it appears to have disappeared completely. I’m concerned that this could be an exit scam, and I hope no one has been scammed by them. If you’ve also experienced problems with kycnah.io, please share your experience here so others can stay informed and avoid potential losses...

I don't think they even have/had any email. On the archive of the site. The only way of contacting their support appeared to be through this link (https://kycnah.io/en/support/create/)

This means if the site is offline, there is no way of contacting support.

Still can't access them. I've found a subreddit thread about them with the same issue for being offline 5 months ago.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1hzpjt6/kycnahio/

So it's best for someone to put them out of their list if they keep on doing this. If they don't get back within the next few days or even the next weeks, that clearly means one thing then.

I have seen reports on Reddit that their host was down about five months ago too. Apparently, they eventually came back online after that.  Maybe its just a technical issue again, but honestly, I wouldnt trust them.

This thread was pushed down by an AI spammer and is now bumped.

Hey, I don't think that bumping was necessary. Since it's an AI spammer you can use the "Report to moderator" feature and those posts will get deleted.

I’m concerned that this could be an exit scam, and I hope no one has been scammed by them. If you’ve also experienced problems with kycnah.io, please share your experience here so others can stay informed and avoid potential losses...
possibly, but i think if they were planning an exit scam they would keep the website up to get as much funds as possible before word gets out.

I have seen reports on Reddit that their host was down about five months ago too. Apparently, they eventually came back online after that.  Maybe its just a technical issue again, but honestly, I wouldnt trust them.
i remember kycnah when they first posted their ANN here, and at that time they had many bugs and website looked to be poorly maintained, so this might be the case.
there was also a major internet outage last Thursday, don't know if the days lines up with kycnah going down, but that could be the reason.

Im pretty sure he was talking about the person who kept bumping all those scam accusations against Stake casino.

Thats a good point.  But honestly, if they are incompetent enough to let their site go down all the time, whos to say they are smart enough to execute a proper exit scam? They might just be completely useless.  Grin

We’re not sure what happened, so I created a warning thread. Hopefully, nothing serious occurred and they just disappeared...

If anyone was scammed, it was a mistake for anyone to use the service with anything of significant value seeing as though there was no credibility built in the time that they were online.

It's always possible they received a take-down request and obliged. Though it does seem more likely that a large transaction was initiated and they took the loot (otherwise I suppose they'd have announced the closure).

if some agency wanted to take them down, they would just seize their domain and hosting, they don't send takedown requests.
the "502 bad gateway" displayed on the website right now is an nginx server error, they should be back online already if was just a normall technical issue, my guess is thier backend server got nuked by thier provider or something.

Though it does seem more likely that a large transaction was initiated and they took the loot (otherwise I suppose they'd have announced the closure).
we can't rule that out, but from my search online, there is no mention of anyone getting scammed by kycnah.io for now.

Right the most likely scenarios are either a forced closure or an exit scam, both of which are consistent with the observed behavior from us.

It seems more like a complicity closure to me (see responses below)

the "502 bad gateway" displayed on the website right now is an nginx server error, they should be back online already if was just a normall technical issue, my guess is thier backend server got nuked by thier provider or something.

It depends. I would assume that before the extents of seizing a domain or hosting are taking, they'd get an email giving a choice to complicity close the service, hence...

Though it does seem more likely that a large transaction was initiated and they took the loot (otherwise I suppose they'd have announced the closure).

...if no scam has been conducted or reported and the site is down, it feels likely that the owner either got an email requesting for the site to be taken down by LE, or they felt enough fear for some reason to do so themselves.
