I was actually planning to report your post at first because the topic about the jeepney driver had already been posted. But after reading your message, I realized it’s not just about the driver you also shared some insights about Jueteng.

For me Jueteng it’s starting to be ignored nowadays because online casinos are much easier to access. But for those who don’t have access to online casinos, they still place their bets on jueteng.

Jueteng is still popular in the Philippines since its a small scale lottery that has a lot of agent asking for bets on house to house basis. It’s the most preferred lottery based game here in PH due to the convenience of betting at home instead of going on lottery outlet that typically located on the center of the municipality.

Some of my relatives still betting on this game until now. It actually becomes legal because the government can’t restrict citizens playing it despite being illegal.

So government has no choice to make it legal so that it can be regulated despite its a heavy competitor of government own lottery games.

Surely there's always a story like this in all the countries that gambling is running freely, in such countries everyone must not go with the same approach, this is why we encounter different challenges while gambling. Most guys may be complaining of being addicted to gamble, while the other will be complaining of big lose in gamble, this becomes a problem to them. So the only way in which we can avoid this challenges/stress is when we change our gambling habit to a better one, which is by reducing the rate at which we gamble, and also going with the amount we can easily afford, so as to avoid bringing problems to ourselves.

This is for everybody to know, the Philippines has a president who was deposed because of Jueteng, he is secretly receiving bribe coming from jueteng lords so they can continue their operation, yes jueteng a form of gambling used to be very rampant among the Filipinos, until the government introduced a game similar to Jueteng and incorporate it to Lottery, this is to make the operation legal. All profits go to the coffers of the government and not into one's pocket.

It’s true that this happening on every country not on Philippines alone. The trending topic just happened in PH since the influencer is based here but there’s incident like this that is not trending on other country because this is already the norm.

It's kinda funny you mention the Americans making it illegal. Sometimes it seems they always gotta try and mess with a good things. However that never really stopped anyone who wanted to play. And the question of why it's still illegal I guess it's actually because they didn't let go of the colonization actually.

It truly never occurred to me that it was gambling because we played with a really small amount of money and the government never restricted us from playing.

What? Is this illegal in our province the game is still active everyday and its says the Government and the Mayor awares of the jueteng. I heard its illegal but it seems its not true cause a lot of people in our neighbor are still playing this and even the Police or the officials are also joining too. Jueteng is still active in our area. I think they are now called STL. Local agents have STL vests dedicated for them, as well as IDs, and they need to wear them whenever they are gathering bets around their area. If not, I think the authorities will catch them—that's what the other agents told us. So they need to wear the vest, especially those agents who can be seen along the highway or within the town proper.
