I think traders are broke. This can be a lesson to people to avoid trading?

I think the people know the person from Tiktok, that he is a trader and he should have money. Privacy is important if you are dealing with crypto. We have seen a YouTuber lady attacked and many other people who are publicly known.

Of course these social medial traders are broke. If they could make all that money tradin, which they btw promote, why would they waste time on social media? They would just scale out their "perfect trading method" and make millions. So yeah, just goes to show you, paying these fake douches on SM platforms is a scam and a waste of time

I think traders are broke.
Many of them are broke and the very few are really good traders. Social media is their kingdom and they brag to the people and followers their wins wherein reality, it's just a show.

This can be a lesson to people to avoid trading?
It's okay to try trading as long as they know the limitations of it. It's better to be a holder while doing these things and tests because you have a guaranteed backup of what you do.

I think the people know the person from Tiktok, that he is a trader and he should have money. Privacy is important if you are dealing with crypto. We have seen a YouTuber lady attacked and many other people who are publicly known.
That's what happens when you mostly show everything in social media. Not just the trades, the kind of life, the lifestyle and anything about bragging, it doesn't really help at all but puts the life of the person that does it in danger.

Thanks _act_ for bringing updates on these regards as to open peoples eye to what is at stake in what they are doing, here are the lessons ive learnt from this whole drama.

1. Don't choose to believe everything you see online on the social media about crypto, the guy must have been flaunting his account showing the public on how he has been making profits trading and still shows then the evidence form his device, that he is into money now, without us knowing that everything is fake just to impress their followers and get more traffic to their contents and page.

2. Some are there tracking them without knowing, they thought he is actually into fame and knows much about crypto trades, whereas in real life things were directly opposite, what a shame, that it will be so disappointing when we discover that some of the so called influencers we follow on social media were leaving a fake life.

Anyone promoting their trades on social media are usually trying to pump their bags or sell some sort of a product. Someone who actually has wealth shouldn't be posting on social media and if so, are posing a risk to their safety. I would hope that after all of the kidnapping and incidents stemming from publicizing wealth, that people with bitcoin/crypto wealth aren't doing that.

I think the people know the person from Tiktok, that he is a trader and he should have money. Privacy is important if you are dealing with crypto. We have seen a YouTuber lady attacked and many other people who are publicly known.

I'm not even sure how to react to this, because it sounds funny even though it is a serious situation, since the crypto community is currently facing the issue of kidnapping and abduction across different regions in the world. I think the users above has said everything that needs to be said as far as this thread is concerned, but I can't imagine the level of disappointment that would come to them the moment they realize that their target wasn't as rich as he looked.

How do people even get comfortable with living a fake life when they clearly can't afford that kind of lifestyle for themselves?. I wonder how many people (from the 8 billion in the world), are doing something similar. Well, I'm happy that he's freed, and has learnt about privacy, even though it had to be the hard way.

Traders are fucking broke ass and they come to social media to show off fake wealth claiming to have made it through trading. I am happy that you came up with this thread so that it will be an eye opener to people that traders are always losers in the long run.

I know that this guy that was kidnapped must have displayed some flamboyant lifestyle on social media as a trader which made him a target. Unknown to the kidnappers that he has nothing. I believe that kidnappers in France wouldn't go for traders anymore.

France is turning to something else. The country is becoming unsafe for crypto users because there has been an increase in kidnapping cases. If the government doesn't take drastic actions many crypto businesses might consider leaving the country.

These kidnappers thought that since the crypto influencer has about 40,000 followers on TikTok, he was rich. It is also possible that this crypto tiktoker might be showcasing wealth on social media just to gain more followers. He should be thankful that he was released, he would have been greatly harmed or even killed

This is the world we live in today. Influencers today mostly start with nothing but making out as if they have something. It's sad, we can thank social media for it.

I hope so too.

I'm not even sure how to react to this, because it sounds funny even though it is a serious situation, since the crypto community is currently facing the issue of kidnapping and abduction across different regions in the world.

It's only being highlighted because it relates to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. If every case of kidnapping for other purposes was reported on, the world would be in a permanent state of fear and shock. No one would leave their homes.

I think the users above has said everything that needs to be said as far as this thread is concerned, but I can't imagine the level of disappointment that would come to them the moment they realize that their target wasn't as rich as he looked.

I hope that it leads them to getting caught, or at the very least reconsidering what they are doing. Kidnapping people for money must be a desperate act, for them to now know that sometimes it might be all for nothing, might get them to reconsider. I doubt it, though hopefully.

Except proved otherwise many of these crypto influencers are just content creators looking for promotions and mentees, this is clearly a good warning to those looking to learn trading that some of those traders you see flaunting wealth or even trading PNL are actually not accumulating those wins some of these also goes to the meme coin traders referred to as Degen traders who are just looking for naive followers to buy their courses.

I wasn’t surprised about this kind of people getting kidnapped because they simply flaunt wealth or coins in a wallet on social media and all this actual are luring them to this criminals. Once I see some crypto supposed investor creating content after content online I usually get the feeling that such person is just looking for projects promotion jobs or looking for people to pay for mentorship classes and nothing more

From experience most people who show lavished lifestyle on social media and claim they make the money from trading are broke scammers looking for subscription money. Most successful traders and enjoying their wealth in private and does not have time for the social media trend.  There may be few exception but the majority of those who showcase wealth from trading on social media are doing it to lure people into their subscription for whatever garbage they have as trading course.

Trading is not entirely bad because there are people who are successful I trading. It just require practices and proper risk management.

I think the lesson is to stop believing those tiktokers or any social media influencer who claim they are expert traders.
How can a broke person give financial advice to other people? How many followers have been affected and lost money because of his advice.
Such people, and there aremany of them, make more money from tiktok than they make from trading.
Sorry for what happened to him and that he had to live this horrible experince, though

I think traders are broke. This can be a lesson to people to avoid trading?

Traders ain't brokers. Left side the risk on trading, there're still successful traders in the market who're making it big time.
Atleast even if we investors don't trade, we can still acknowledge that traders with good trading strategies and good risk management are making it w success in the trades.
So it's either the kidnapped victim is really broke, might only be flaunting online that he's a trader while he's not or he might be a die hard determined dude he can give his life rather than loose his bitcoin to the kidnappers.

I think traders are broke. This can be a lesson to people to avoid trading?

I think the people know the person from Tiktok, that he is a trader and he should have money. Privacy is important if you are dealing with crypto. We have seen a YouTuber lady attacked and many other people who are publicly known.

I don't think the purpose should be avoid trading completely instead need to know it's not quick rich scheme as they are saying.

There are a lot of fake rich people out there on multiple social media and they want to make money by selling trading course, expert prediction, signals, potential project, etc but at the end it's all big fat lie that didn't make them any money. Grin

Privacy in social media is a joke, that's a place where people even share where they eat, drink, sleep and some of them live stream it too.

Anyone promoting their trades on social media are usually trying to pump their bags or sell some sort of a product. Someone who actually has wealth shouldn't be posting on social media and if so, are posing a risk to their safety.

Exactly. People need to understand that when a person is so active on social media, creating content and updating their followers about stuff they do or whatever, they are not actually making a lot of money from what they are doing, which is the sole reason why they are on social media because they are trying to become famous, and possibly start making money from content creation. That's the basic motto these influencers and content creators have. Thus, someone who is on social media posting stuff they are content creator and not whatever they are trying to promote, in most cases.

If I have a lot of money, and I'm making a lot of money with it either through trading or anything in general, I wouldn't need to create social media accounts, have a YouTube channel, and keep telling everyone what I do and how much money I earn, etc, because that doesn't make any sense. I already have money, I will keep making money, and then spend the rest of my time enjoying my life instead of wasting it on creating content on social media.

So, the basic reason behind people creating such content is for them to start making money from the content, just like how some people create paid signal groups to make people rich by charging them a monthly fee. I mean, why would you need to charge people $20 to give them signals that would make them rich when you can get rich yourself by using those signals instead of doing all this?

So that means that some TikTok users who claim to be traders are just posing a front? Can we say that they are just trying to deceive their audience and these kidnappers helped to call out their bull?

Trading is not always guaranteed to pay everyone always but I'm sure that this victim has been trading for quite some time now so he may have made some profit but seemed to be lacking funds at that moment. So it's not to say trading is a bad venture or investment.
If this incidence occured in France which is now rife with kidnapping cases and the like, it's not a surprise that he was a victim because these people may have watched his videos and assumed he makes loads of money hence the reason why he was targeted.

A few days ago I read a very interesting topic in this forum talking about these so-called successful entrepreneurs which all what they do is play a role. They're great actors and actresses, but about businesses and entrepreneurship, they don't know too much. In my country it is called "postureo", which could be translated as "posturing", meaning "pretending".

I suppose that was the case with the kidnapped TikToker. I don't wish suffering on anyone, but perhaps this type of news make more than one influencer think twice before bragging about what they don't have Roll Eyes

Bullshit. Most of those online crypto gurus are just scam artists and shit peddlers. Pretending to be rich, renting a lambo and some penthouse to look rich, and then they sell their "magic" course for like $7.99 a month.
That's complete crap. If they were any good, even moderately decent, they can get $10 per hour trading. But they don't. So they sell the illusion. And once you pay their course, there's 101 different reasons what you did wrong and why it's not working for you.

If they are actually real-time crypto traders, they will not have much time to be very active on social media the way they do, as they will spend much of their time reading through charts and calculating their next steps and not posting and looking for people who will buy into their trading group.

Most of these traders are actually broke and make their wealth through those who believe in them and want to be like them, as they will either charge them for training or ask them to invest so that they can help them generate wealth.

Sadly, all these kidnapping cases about crypto happening in France, most people don't want to learn from it that France has become an unsafe ground for someone to show off their crypto wealth on social media and expect they can walk freely without being kidnapped.

This is a lesson to learn that no matter where you live, those who have evil intentions towards you about your crypto assets you showcase online can reach you if they want. The government of your country can't help you out of it.

I think this is the end of the TikTok trader showing off his fake wealth on social media. The kidnappers would warn him though, not to try such a thing again. Deceiving people he makes a lot from trading while he doesn't
