Are you sure you created this wallet on Electrum or on a web wallet like blockchain.info (today it's .com)?

Electrum doesn't ask for an account name or email address (you are probably referring to these credentials on your new computer), it only asks you to enter your recovery seed (wallet backup) or, if you don't have one, a master public or private key (XPUB, XPRIV), addresses or private keys...

I understand your act of desperation in creating this topic. I ask you to cool your head and try to remember all the details, as well as specify everything you have at hand in this topic, including prints. Be careful not to publish anything sensitive, such as private keys (starting with 5, K or L) or seed phrases (usually composed of 12 mnemonic words that regenerate your wallet, including addresses and private keys).

Without your private key for a specific funded address or seed phrase, there is no chance of regaining access to the coins.

Calmly follow this script (according to your needs) if you have private keys for specific addresses or a seed phrase (although you created it in 2011, it's unlikely that you will have a seed unless you created your wallet on Electrum).

Hmm, with "On here", are you thinking that Electrum is a custodial wallet?

Because no, your bitcoins aren't saved in a server owned by "Electrum" or something.
Your private keys are saved exclusively in your old computer in a form of a wallet file in electrum data directory (folder) and any copies that you made.
The only way to restore those keys to your new computer's Electrum is to use your seed phrase (set of words) or restore a backup copy of your wallet file.
Old seed should still be compatible with the latest version.

And take note that even in the old versions, users are presented with a message to keep their seed safe.
Here's a reference to the old code: github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/dedb15e2bce128db88289e73f3f7f5e3a488acaf/client/gui.py#L75-L77

That password isn't for accessing accounts, that's an encryption password to encrypt/decrypt your wallet file.

OP, I don't think that it is Electrum wallet that you used. Did you write down any 12 words down as directed by electrum when you were creating your wallet. If you did, you should import the seed phrase into the new w electrum wallet that you downloaded. I believe that you are confused with the wallet that you used way back if it was electrum or an exchange account. Be sure, so that people can know how to help you out.

I doubt this has anything to do with the master key (you didn’t even specify if it’s a private master key or a public master key.
Are you sure your issue is with the master key and not with private key or wallet seed.
2011? That’s intresting because Electrum was first introduced in late 2011, precisely in November 2011. So, I'm pretty sure whoever used it back then is supposed to know how all of this works and could easily figure out how to restore his old wallets.
As the above members suggested, you must be confusing Electrum with another wallet, most likely blockchain.

To OP, i would recommend you to check your old email and browser history to find out which website you actually used in past to store Bitcoin.

Are you sure you used Electrum and not something like Blockchain.com?

Yeah, OP is definitely talking about web-based wallet or custodial service. In past, i tried to run Electrum 0.30 (released in 2011) and there's no thing such as account[1].
