I was having a discussion yesterday with a person I consider more skilled in trading than I am and the purpose of my discussion was to learn a bit from his experience about his journey so far in cryptocurrency trading to at least gather some motivation from it. While discussing he was recommending some of the applications that he had used all through his trading journey to where he is now and then it hit me suddenly that most times different people are exposed to different applications and depending on whom you are learning something from, or asking a question, it is not just their approach that they teach you, but they also refer you to applications that they make use of. Now I am not saying all the applications they refer us to are bad, but it is important and very necessary that we do our own research about the applications we are referred to. A mentor may be referring us to an application that they have an affiliation with or will have some benefit from without even considering that that application is not the best out there for the purpose you want it for.
So do not completely trust your mentors that you ignore research, especially mentors that have no personal relationship with you.

The truth is that when you are learning from someone you should have the believe that you can even be better than that very person. I have seen in different occasions when someone who was an apprentice is doing better than his own mentor, and the reason being that, no one knows it all, and I don't think their is perfection in any skill or profession even though we can be called experts.
In the field of trading, there is no perfect trader, every trader records loss at one time or the other no matter the kind of trading skill or method they deploy, so as you learn from people bear it in mind that even as you are learning, you can do better, and to achieve this target, you will have to go beyond what your mentor is teaching you, if possible you can even have more than one mentor in other to compare their various knowledge, and skills in other to be more informed, you can also consult many other learning materials outside what your mentor has directed you, and with this,  you will do better.

As far as I know, personally decision is very important for us, so it's very essential to always do your own research and analysis before venturing into anything.

We don't need to be carried away by someone's opinion without doing our own research, no matter how trust you have in the person, because human beings are not always trustworthy at all. Many people have made a lot of mistakes due to not making their own decision, so we shouldn't let it happen to us again.

Trusting your mentor is at your own risk. In crypto space I don’t trust anyone, and I do encourage other people to do the same. Make sure you do your research whenever you are being introduced to any application, and if you discover anything suspicious in the application, just stay away from it, you don’t have to make use of it because it’s recommended to you by your mentor.

When you have a mentor, you are not even suppose to tell your mentor everything about you, their are some sensitive informations that are suppose to be kept to yourself, someone you call your mentor might be the person that will end up hurting you, so we just have to be so careful most especially with people we meet online.

Sometimes people often overlook their personal responsibilities, even if the person that is giving you the advice has a good track record, you are still the one that will deal with the consequences when things go wrong. So while trying to learn you must not know everything which can simply mean checking the information, risks and asking questions before you make any decision. Sometimes the best thing is to let it go if it doesn’t make sense to you.

It is funny how people blindly used applications recommended to them by their mentors or people they look up to without doing a proper research on them. Everybody wants to make money by all means, even if it takes to mislead others which is very wrong.

A few years back a friend of mine recommended an application for me and asked me to register using his promo code, meanwhile he knows too well that the application was not going to give what I want yet he recommended it to me just to make some dollars,

Blind trust will cost you gigantic order of loss, I think OP is getting me? Our mentors in the market have already sealed their ground in crypto and today, they're doing exceptionally brilliant in the market, trading and making good runs for streak winnings although the losses also comes but it doesn't surpassed the ratio of balance profits. Mentors guide us on our path to GREATNESS but it doesn't mean we should accept everything they do tell us because the market is kind of funny and we clearly understand how the market is making and mixing up volatility just for the noise and trends to get us all caught up.

Before following my mentor's guidelines, I always make sure I thoroughly do my own personal research in the market because moving in a way without verification or anything is actually funny.

I also crossed check again to see the reputation, security walls formulated, inother to see if our mentors have financial interests with any exchanges because most of them might just be here advertising for exchanges since they're in business with them via brand affiliation.

One should never rely on online advice regarding trading and investment, as it always poses a risk to one's capital. Online platforms are rife with scammers who feign politeness while enticing individuals to invest or trade. Many newcomers, lacking sufficient knowledge, fall into these traps and jeopardize their money. These scammers often go to great lengths to appear trustworthy; once a person places their full trust in them, the scammer seizes the opportunity to defraud them. People often trust these advisors because they appear to be investing their own money alongside the client's. However, once the client transfers a substantial amount of money for trading or investment, that trust is betrayed. Therefore, caution is essential in every instance; one should never blindly entrust everything to an advisor but should instead maintain discretion and gradually gain experience.

There are a lot of people who are so lazy to the extent that they don't want to research despite everything has been make easier, all they wanted is to get things Softly without any stress at all. Yes it is good to look at others that are successful but looking at them should only be focusing on how they start to make it, so that they can be rightly guided.

Patience is the key to every success and making your own research will allow you to have more knowledge on that particular thing you are trying to get, but people always choose shortcut even though they know that it will still take them back.

I quite understand the point you are trying to make, some people you call mentor can even be sometimes very cunning, they may pretend to educate unknowingly to you they are not giving you the right information. Though in trading no perfect person because I believe every trader incure losses. So while seeking for trading knowledge from your mentor you should try to know where he is not putting you right, the things you need to know, and he is not telling you those things, and in this case you will need to make extra research to get more information about your area of interest. Know matter how knowledgeable one can be in any field you will need to make research to keep yourself updated, so combination of different ideas from different sources will improve you effectively in your trading profession.

Sincerely speaking trust is something we can't easily give out because we have a mentor who teaches us about trading and refers us to most platform doesn't mean we shouldn't make our own research on such platform or apps and be sure of it before making certain decision yes agreed we learn from our mistakes but most at times we can still stop it from happening and to be at the safer side is to
learn not to trust people easily, trusting people easily is one difficult aspect for me  learning from a mentor is not bad but  trusting that person fully is something to be careful about

For some of us to choose someone as our mentor, I believe we must have seen something in them we really like, and we want to gain the ideas, knowledge and expertise from them.

However, calling someone your mentor means that you are looking up to them for directions in the things you do not know. You have to be following on their directions, to learn and to unlearn the things they will introduce you too. The ones you didn't understand or thought it wrong to be wrong, you asked questions of how it came about. Your mentor will then explain it to you while he or she thought to be so.

Before you make someone your mentor, you must have made up your mind to also learn from their experience because you could get more knowledge and information from what they put up based on their encounter and field of profession.

Mentors play a big role in shaping our mindset based on ideology and thoughts, they stand as guide to making sure that we get a good knowledge of whatever we want as long as we've contacted them..

Having a Mentor can be very helpful,  but it is also important to think for yourself too. Don't take everything they say as the absolute truth because mentors have their own experiences and biases which might not really apply to your own situation.

Having mentor doesn't mean someone should completely rely on the person as a matter of fact a good mentor will advise you not to rely so much on him or her and they will tell you to your face that they are not perfect because no one is actually perfect but we strive to get perfect. The only reason we have mentor is to guide one on things they have experience about and not something they don't know and some mentor even get to know more from the person they are mentoring.

Why do you call such person mentors?
A mentor is meant to show you the hard ways while you learn, relearn, unlearn what you learn. Mind you, a mentor is also a learner who also has who he learns from and admire, so the chains doesn't end. You also has who learns from you even when you already has a mentor, those learning from you will also complain about your flaws and so on.

You just have to pick what matters and drop what doesn't.

On the contrary, a mentor who has a personal relationship with you and is genuinely concerned for your progress will try as much as they can to make trading profitable for you in the shortest time possible. They may not mind breaking down their trading strategy to you. For example, if the mentor is an immediate family member or a very close friend who could qualify as family. They may not even charge you any money for it if they know you are really serious. Am I wrong?
There’s some Good Samaritan that can even did more than member of family do. Because some mentor will treat you well the way they treat their family, for someone don’t care about his own profits the only he want is to see your success. That kind of people are not common they hardly to get. How some family member treat their family members you regret seeing yourself in that family.

There’s mentors that can be trusted like the story you just narrated just now, if is you that your mentors did all for, will you no trust your mentor after did all this just because his building you up so that he can see your prosper.

This matter about mentor dey two side because sometimes the person you dy call mentor fit no sabi as you think, and because of that, your go think say him dy play you, when true true him no even sabi.

Then the second part be say your mentor fit sabi well well but try know say him no go fit show you everything as you think, na your own work, research and learning behind the scene go help you grab fast, so as a newbie investor or traders, you need to learn the harbit of doing your own research and figuring things urself if you wan really dy successful.

A mentor may be referring us to an application that they have an affiliation with or will have some benefit from without even considering that that application is not the best out there for the purpose you want it for.
So do not completely trust your mentors that you ignore research, especially mentors that have no personal relationship with you.

For those learners that are good in making research, this aspect will make them more smart and figure out everything on time, nowadays nothing be free again o everybody dey wan use opportunity achieve from him next person even if una close will nar that wan worst pass, but I see am as challenge for you to rise up fast .

Learning is a continuous process, as keep learning you understand the process and be a master of your own because those that even taught you might not give you all you need therefore more learning and research will make you a better person to yourself and trading or bitcoin investment whichever one you choose to go into.

Do not expect everything and knowledge from your mentor.

If you take the help of a mentor to gain good skills in any subject, then it is possible to gain a lot of knowledge with relatively little effort, but it should also be understood whether the mentor is always giving you suggestions for your good or for his good. There are many people who give various suggestions to others to complete their work. If a trader is advised to use a specific application or is asked to register on a site, then the one who is following must have some knowledge. He must learn to ask questions. If someone does not have basic knowledge and takes the help of a mentor, then he will not be able to know whether he is being guided in the wrong direction or not. However, it is also true that mentors do not always teach you wrong.

Sometime we forget that even those we call our mentors are also learning or expecting to learn from us in one way or the other also. With the introduction of modern tools which were not in used as at when those old professionals were working, this younger generation have the privilege of making use of the new technology which were not In used perviously. And that’s why even when learning from a mentor it’s also important that we try to equip ourselves with modern technological innovations surrounding the trade or profession because whether we like it or not the older generation can only teach with what they use during their time.

It has been always recommended that whatever you hear that is related to cryptocurrencies, you should always DYOR, and this is for the best benefit of who is asking questions, so you won't be lead astray. As a trader, you've gained trading experience, but for newbies barely will they know that there's need for them to make research before using the tools they're told to, because it was recommended by their called mentors. We should always watch out for some kind of sneaky mentors who are after their personal gains.

Beginners are the preys here and they need to do everything within their power to make sure they grab the basis of the market and always ensure to do their research about a project before proceeding to invest in that project. The market is not something that we should be able to acknowledge without having to verify our source of information because information is the trend and knowing the action price of the market.

On the records, DYOR is very important in the market and it shouldn't be discretionary since the market is filled with volatility, everyone needs to be extremely meticulous and scrupulous in the market since every detail is imperative, who knows? Also, we should have in mind that these mentors have other objectives which they considered ultimate, let's talk about the commissions been issued to some of these mentors in the market, they know exactly what they're doing and chasing after big wins is their goal, we sit back and retrace our steps and know for sure what we actually want.
