Well I think most reputable casinos today ask you some sort of KYC though the one who has gone to far and is not happy only with email and phone number verification is Stake who they are asking for the minimum of national ID in order for your account to continue and be operative. Luckily though for now this is an isolated case and most other reputable casinos are more than happy with email and mobile phone verification which is somewhat better than giving out government issued documents. In the end I think cryptocurrency casinos will take time to go full KYC and this is good for us the end users, I think email and phone are more than enough for verifying the users.

There has been a gradual consolidation and maturity of the casino market over time, but what it basically comes down to is the pressure that countries like America or blocs like the EU are willing to place on outlier nations that try to allow non-KYC casino hosting. It makes sense for these small island nations that offer "licenses" to online casinos to try and offer this no KYC functionality as a niche selling point, however they can be bullied by bigger nations by various methods into stopping that. You are right and for sure we must certainly come to that stage, but only those who has problems with their privacy could likely face issues with it. That’s exactly why we chose crypto casinos over fiat ones in the first place, to avoid heavy regulations. But here we are, the government has already seen how big the crypto casino space has grown, and now they’re stepping in to regulate it. Of course, that’s just another way for them to collect taxes from the operators. It’s like a full package, and if we still decide to play, we really have no choice but to comply.

I still remember @mu_enrico comment clearly, okay we want to avoid KYC, but we are unable to be always anonim. and till today, there is no alternative to find out who you are without a single KYC, such as your name, email or phone number? this comment was made a long time ago, and it is true. Maybe I just think positive if the jurisdiction globally all online casinos must be KYC, at least every casino operating online in every country recorded and registered in the license of each gambling jurisdiction authority.

This is totally true. You can use Bitcoin as an example on how regulation applies even on a coin that promotes privacy. Right now almost all centralized exchange requires KYC just to adopt on regulations just to legally operate.

This is same to casino that operates legally with their license. KYC is inevitable and not a big deal anymore since almost every services in crypto already requires KYC.

No. This will not happen. Humans are stubborn if you haven't noticed lol. They will continue to do anything they want even if it is against the government so I do not think that non kyc casinos will ever cease to exist even if regulations get stricter. There will definitely be more casinos that require KYC for their customers in the future. But I still believe there will still be casinos that do not require customers to do KYC for certain situations.
There will always be gamblers who are anti-KYC at casinos. And there will always be casinos that will not ask for KYC, although in the future their number will definitely be less. That is because of the strict and complicated regulations to force operating casinos to require customers to do KYC.

Another one are the so called Web 3. While some may become very popular and begin KYC for their customers, there will be some that will remain without requiring KYC.

But I have seen a lot of applications in Android right now that have no KYC, and I can say they are alarming. Their names are almost the same, and they just differ in numbers at the end of the online casino name. These are probably scam online casinos, and I bet they will be gone in a week or two.
Those kinds of online casinos will remain because they can get away from the law of their own country, especially those with weak cybersecurity.

Kyc is just so shit IMO if they are too intrusive. Knowing my name and address are 1 thing but asking for proof of funds goes too far IMO. Prove it's stolen money if you want proof of where funds come from.

I agree that can happen in the future as the government realize they can get something from crypto. The government want to tax casinos and gamblers so they can get more money from gambling business. Once the casinos get bigger, the government attention will come to them and they will impose KYC to casinos and their members. That make casinos need to modify their regulations following with the government rules.

Maybe some small casinos can be no KYC services but sooner or later, those casinos can apply this to their members. There will be no privacy for their members although crypto itself offer privacy because of the government interfere. We can just accept without deny it but we have a choice to playing gambling on any casino we want.
