Hey Bitcoiners what do think about Teens learning Bitcoin and Tech

Hi as tech consultant and instructor, I got some wonderful teens whose parents saw the need to equip ahead of the future. Although they enrolled for web development and python development course but I decided to add introduction to a bitcoin to their curriculum. This kids are smart; although they all learn at their own pace.

I have two fast learners, one learns when the concept is re-explained and another who just needs that close attention and slower explanation before he can grasp the topic or concept thought. Understanding their comprehension rate has helped me as an instructor and their parents are always proud of their abilities each time the go home after the training.

The oldest amongst them is 16. When I was 16 I only focused on my school activities and nothing more so I want to get your perspective, is this a good sacrifice made by the parents of this kids or are the kids been stressed out of proportion. So far the enjoy the class and when I told them about introducing bitcoin as a concept they were excited. I love their passion and this gives me the joy to do even more research so they can learn well.

I have drawn my Bitcoin curriculum for them which they will animate using CSS and also code using python libraries like pyfiglet and bitcoinlib

Although not a complex concept but sometime fit for their age like wallet management and key creation e.g

I was thinking of making this a mini project for them after I have done introduction to Bitcoin, they will still have a bigger project where we will work on animations with python.

Well it's 2025, so if they're not up to current tech, they're lagging behind. Kids today have IT studies in the 1st grade of elementary school. So i wouldn't be surprised some of them wanted to learn more and delve into BTC and blockchain. Frankly, i'm glad they did, because they are the ones that are gonna push the tech forward.

if the children enjoy the learning process, why not? moreover, it is also for themselves because nowadays technology is growing, and the need for people who are literate in programming code, blockchain, and various other technologies, is increasing. introducing them to this world will not harm them, it can open up various opportunities for them to have a career in the it world.. especially if they grow up in developing countries, this can be a golden opportunity for them to develop and improve their family's economy.

I don’t think they are too young to learn tech. At 16, I was already a fresher in University so I don’t think a 16 year old cannot learn tech/bitcoin. I think the parents made a wise decision to enroll their kids in a bootcamp, it’s a very good time for them to start learning about new technologies and things outside their school curriculum as it will give them a edge over other students or kids their age.

The younger the kids build a foundation the better they are in the future.  I support the idea of teaching teens about cryptography and programming.  At the age of 16, I believe they already have the brain to hold information, analyze flowcharts and understand the underlying challenges of programming.

If these kids are well supported, I believe they will have great talents and skills in the future.

Actually its good that they learn about the technology or innovation because its all about their future but for those who just want and enjoy only just having a time like an hour but still let them enjoy at their own now its up to them if they want to focus because still they are just teens who just want to explore the world and we don't want to get this from them so the agenda is good as long as they still making fun their teenage years.

In places like china, Hong Kong specifically kids of different age not even up to teens are taught about techs (including bitcoin) in their native language for better comprehension hence teaching kids like this about bitcoin isn't something that should be seen to be weird it's more like something that should have been done even earlier before this ages.

However I encourage your willingness to educate them without that being in the budget you're paid for, it's a genius act but however it's even to tech even kids between the age in which they can comprehend whatsoever they are taught or as long as they can use a computer the it's good to tech them, the future in here already if you ask me no need to wait for more time.

In El Salvador, there is a book called the Bitcoin Diploma: "My First Bitcoin", which has been officially introduced as required reading for all children in primary schools. This book teaches kids what Bitcoin is in a clear and simple way, making it an excellent resource for young learners.

I think it could be a great addition to your curriculum and help inspire your students even more.

The young ones today needs to be equipped with tech from their early age because that’s where the world now revolves in now. It gives them an advantage to stay positioned in the global space of tech and to also think in that direction into making sure they’re able to bring innovations to stand out and make the world a more sustainable place to live in while taking a dive into this tech evolving projects which bitcoin has to be a part of it. The parents have done well to enroll them in such programs and it’s a good thing you inculcate learning about bitcoin as part of their curriculum, you’re really given them what they need now at their age in this current age we are in now.

Exactly, the kids of this generation are fast learners, they do learn faster than expected and most of them are expose to tech at very early age since they do have access to internet and smartphones earlier than we do, that is why they do start learning tech at their elementary classes or when they are just growing. Parents are also contributing because we as parents knows what exactly they need, we can’t keep wasting their time as we waste ours, they need to learn as much as they can and as early as possible because tech is very good.

However, introducing them to crypto is very important, they will have an early information about cryptocurrency. Bitcoin should be the main topic of discussion because it is decentralized, so that they can both learn how to depend on themselves, and also know the important of privacy.

The world is in digital era, it's idea to catch them young(the kids) on digitalization so that they could align with every possibility of making it in life at young age.

Many of us didn't have this kind of opportunity at young age, it was when we come of age that we learn of Bitcoin and tech. Had it been we had it through when we were kids, I believe we would have make out some great from Bitcoin and tech world.

Although it's not too late for us as we are utilizing every opportunities given on digital world, to pass every information learn about bitcoin to the young generation, so that they can queue in defining their future at young age than old age

16 is a good age to begin learning about tech and Bitcoin. Kids are really smart to learn anything they want at a young age, Bitcoin is easy to learn when general tech knowledge is being learnt from the basics, getting to know about related technology advancement will give them firm knowledge concerning Bitcoin and blockchains.

This is indeed a good move. I am tech-savvy and must ensure my kids are acquainted with tech as they grow older. I cannot afford to raise unintelligent children who would be unable to handle real-life problems in a society where tech is taking over.

Tech has come to stay, and so has Bitcoin. It is never too late to prepare these children for something they will eventually encounter and fall in love with when they become adults and can make decisions on their own. Good job, @op.

16 is a good age to begin learning about tech and Bitcoin. That's the right age to know this things since they can digest everything what they learn and apply what they learn from their own benefits.

So lucky for young generation today that they have great people guiding them. Since before mostly people only do individual efforts especially for learning about Bitcoin and tech since there's only few people know about this.

I think Bitcoin is not easy to learn since you have many things to consider first before you became more familiar and knowledgeable individual. There are so many scams and other bad schemes that's why it may take time for people to learn these things then came to the point that they can start to earn with Bitcoin and other activities.

I don't really see anything wrong with the idea of introducing them to tech at the age of 16. Infact this will make them to get used to digitals tools . So I believe it is only parents understand the importance of tech that will want their children to go into it at an early stage and also introducing it to them at this stage is very good idea since they are still young and there minds is still very sharp to grab idea .Any parents that knows how important tec is won't hesitate to do the same for their children. I believe this will make them to become more comfortable with tech. However , the parents also should be able to guide them in other for them not to be exposed to content that may be harmful to them at there age.

This is great. If they're truly interested and they're enjoying the subjects, everything must be good. Their efforts, your efforts, the sacrifices of the parents; they're all worth it.

But is this all part of a formal course? Is this training accredited by the appropriate agencies? I mean will they be properly assessed later on and receive certificates for their achievements? Nowadays, a diploma, completion certificate, or competency certificates are necessary when looking for jobs. Even if you have the skills, if you can't present anything, you might not even undergo an evaluation. Your application might proceed to the trash bin right away.

Remember how old Elon Musk was when he bought his first computer and how old he was when he created and sold his first game on it? What's surprising is that teenagers in the 21st century are becoming smarter than their parents? I really respect people who raise their children in the right direction, giving them the opportunity to study and thus build their future. It's not for nothing that we often say that if parents worked all their lives and provided their children with a comfortable life without thinking about teaching them to work and education, then the grandchildren of these people will be poor.

For sure at some point majority of us always regret not to have known what we did knew now about Bitcoin earlier hence it a privilege for kids who have such opportunity to learn about Bitcoin at that age, indeed knowledge of things will increase with time and kid that started learning at that age will do more better when they grow up and I also believe that with time the teaching of Bitcoin in schools curriculum will become a basic, I have already make out plans for my unborn as to this regards and of course this is exactly what parents that have knowledge of Bitcoin will do for their children as well, knowledge of Bitcoin is a part of civilization that anyone will want their families and friends to be part of.

When I study the definition of adolescence, the age is between 10-24 years old. So there are stages that need to be adjusted according to their development. Starting from simple symbols to detailed programming about Blockchain. Starting as a child is not a problem I think it's good. They will get used to new programs. But remember we also have to be fair to their playing rights. Put yourself in the community to socialize and get to know the natural environment. I'm afraid if they only focus on the program they are not sensitive to social, natural, and compassion for others. Developing a Blockchain curriculum is good, but it must be together with other education to protect the earth.
