When will we see an Altcoin-Season again?

The market principles can never be broken as we do have up and down so we must see the altcoin season, but one thing we must know about altcoin is that this year or during the US election campaign altcoin weren't given much priority Bitcoin was given. And like as we know on the space everything has a trend and since the current administration supports Bitcoin with full chest people thinking and mindset has been gradually shifted from altcoin to Bitcoin due to it's numerous ATH created last year and this year and people, I mean investor are solely interested to what would give them quick profits as required in short period of time, so they make Bitcoin their first.

I wouldn't be that surprised if there are no investor who are currently offloading their altcoin bags to chose over Bitcoin, and if such keeps happening then the chances of us seeing the altcoin season this year could be very slim because no one is interested to to hold shitcoin that aren't trustworthy or even appreciating within the period of holding.

One other thing that kept me wondering is that, when Bitcoin drops 5-7 percent you would see altcoin decreased to about 10-20 percent this alone makes it that difficult for altcoin to rally up to meet it's previous ATH.

It's hard to say. What I do believe is that altcoins would make some price increase but it wouldn't be compared to that of last year when we saw some tremendous price increase on some of the altcoins we hodl.

The cryptocurrency market have changed so much following certain factors that have hard much impact on the market such as the ETF approval that now makes it possible to buy Bitcoin through ETFs rather than directly from the market. What this meant was that we saw Bitcoin making an ATH when no expected thereby changing the previous pattern of Bull season followed by altcoin season that we saw in other years. In other words, there are more factors on the market now which have changed the order of things dramatically. Therefore, it is possible that we will not see a clear altcoin season but a market that will follow Bitcoin to boom.

When supply is more than demand it leads to diminishing return. That's a market law, altcoins has no limit, they're countless number of coins for people to choose and everyone is going on a different direction of choice mostly on small priced coins. It's hard to say about altcoin will be its season? Because altcoin now does not dominate the market so much often when bitcoin goes up and dominates usually altcoin will follow the trend but for the current cycle not --- many altcoins fall including ETH is still difficult to move to the price of $ 3000.

The prediction this time seems like there will be no altcoin season --- this is just in my own observation, because I can't be sure, but so far altcoin has not moved much more to the negative trend.

For an altseason to happen, retail needs to return to the market. Retail usually comes back driven by an explosive rise in Bitcoin  which could happen by the end of the year. Once Bitcoin breaks $150K and starts heading towards $200K, a flood of retail investors will likely return.

Retail typically doesn’t understand Bitcoin  they think they’ve ‘missed it’, so they start looking for ‘the next Bitcoin’.

However, I don’t believe the altseason will be as strong as in 2017 or 2021. Once people lose big, it’s hard to fool them again and make them repeat the same mistake.

From a technical analysis perspective, Bitcoin seems to be forming a bull flag pattern, and it will likely break out soon towards $150K.

It is quite true now that Bitcoin takes advantage of all-time highs against the majority of altcoins lacking any opportunities to achieve some momentum. Altcoins have fallen so much recently that I didn't think they would fall this much a few months ago, but right now, while bitcoin is holding its price, altcoins have fallen and not come back many times. Altcoins are crushed under bitcoin pressure as usual. I think an altcoin season is coming in 2025. In particular, I can say that altcoins have lost more than 90% of their value and technical indicators are at rock bottom. These indicators could be a sign of a big rise.

First it Bitcoin then any other thing only ride along with the Bitcoin wave, altcoins happened to gain a lot presence in the past prior to 2020s, at the moment, their market have already been polluted with tons fo fake projects that never make any impact in the end, and this make the possibility of altcoins to gain the trust of the crypto community is hard now.


Now only Bitcoin is the sure way to stay ahead, when it comes to cryptocurrency assets and this will definitely continue to happen altcoins have no bases for long term consistency as most altcoins lack the ecosystem to support their continues existence before we talk about possibilities of success.

I think this is a trend to look at. Historical data has always seen similar movements with Bitcoin and Altcoins in the sense that, for majority of the Altcoins out there, they always seem to pump just as Bitcoin is pumping although, not in the same rate as Bitcoin and only a good number of them move in an inverse direction.
If Altcoins at this time are not getting to its peak even with positive movements with Bitcoin, it could mean, people are now seeking a more reassuring investment with Bitcoin than having to try their lucks with altcoin projects.

We will see another altcoin season but it will take a long time before such season will begin to display in the market. If BTC can take over from altcoin to be the most popular coin in the market everybody want to hodl to achieve their target from the market, I guess there will be altcoin season that will make investors and traders to prefer altcoin hodling.

Nobody can tell you exactly when but we will see another big Altseason. History tells us that Altcoins run hard after Bitcoin tops out. Also if history will tell us something, then we should have seen the altcoin seasons already. However, it's not the case, it seems that Bitcoin really took off and take some of the altcoin investors.

So meaning, the money that could have been flowing into Altcoins might have been diverted to Bitcoin already. So yeah, it's hard to tell when we are going to see the altcoin taking a big leap. And that's what we see that the Bitcoin market has decoupled from the Altcoin market already. This could also be the first cycle that this might happen, so this might be bad news for altcoin investors.

Altseason is a hot topic everywhere, when I visited X, there was this discussion, in this forum it's the same. I think we don't need to expect much more about the coming of altseason, Bitcoin (BTC) is able to make new points every time, Bitcoin (BTC) dominance is also very high, especially after the news from institutions accumulating Bitcoin (BTC).

So, when will altseason come? I can only say it ASAP, when Bitcoin (BTC) dominance shrinks & there are more people hyped about altcoins than Bitcoin (BTC) itself.

I’ve seen a lot of traders asking this question because altcoins pump used to follow Bitcoin rally but this cycle seems different. I’m actually not expecting much from altcoins this cycle due to Bitcoin’s increased dominance, we’ve seen that  institutional money is more focused on Bitcoin compared to altcoins. This is another factor to know that altcoin season should not be anticipated as much because old patterns might be shifting.

However, i don’t think altseason is dead, i just feel we might see a mid altseason this cycle compared to the past broad seasons(that’s if we have one).

Bitcoin went from $15k to $60k, staggered around that region for some times can't remember exactly and then shoot upwards to $100k New ATH. All these happened within the space of months, even more than 6 months but altcoin was just watching Bitcoin doing the movement while they were relaxing.

Truly, the future of altcoin is getting to death because lots of it comes out everyday and so which one is truly coming to solve real life problems, non. Instead, they come to leverage on newcomers for their profits and exit the industry once the target is reached.
