According to CZ the ceo of Binance and one name that commands respect across the cryptocurrency arena, he in a recent post via his X(formally twitter) account drew people’s attention to a big crypto news handle getting hacked.

I checked the hacked account and it has been running since 2018 and has been a top source for cryptocurrency news to many, even if it is Chinese many people including Nigerians may use translator to source some of their cryptocurrency news from this account.

As CZ rightly warned at this time it is dangerous to click link from that account.

What I make up from this is that we need to shine our eyes, even if na news outlet way you trust you can still get dangers from there.

1. Train yourself to research on news you see. You can use the route of verifying a news against other news outlets, if a news is big there are chances that other sources will also pick up a news
2. I Dey like read comments and remark on a news because people fit share useful things for you in the comments section
3. Your wallet device should not be same device you use randomly like checking news, chatting with people and so on and so forth.
4. 2FA authentication go help you well to have
5 celebrities too could be scammers or work with scams

You can always  use the forum to fact check the authenticity of every information you're getting most expecially when it's crypto related because most news vendors are never to be trusted regarding the kind of information they are dishing out to the public space.

Language is not the main point, this cut across language, even that crypto news source in your language is still susceptible to hackers, so it doesn’t matter the language the news outlet is.

This is a lesson for all to Learn and take note of because scammers are looking for any means position for them to scam people and going as far as hacking a news handle is to tell you the level of their desperation this is one important reason why people should always not bank on the news gotten from only one source of news as scammers can hack and take hold of the news platform and give wrong information that will lead to making people to lose their money



Scammers are always ahead of their game as they are always looking for something to scam people off their money so it's important that we get information and be vigilant and this forum is one place that anyone can get good and reliable news about crypto currency that legit and accurate as anything that is brought up in this group is verified and if not people will criticize it

We need dey careful of the kind links them wey we dey click. Even links wey from verified sources no dey that reliable again because person no know when they might be hacked. This news outlet no be the first wey them done hack, every time then dey hack all this twitter accounts and then dey cause big wahala in the market. I don't understand why this channels aren't putting in better security measures to help them fight against all the this hacks. A reliable source shouldn't allow their channels to get compromised because they're making people to lose trust in them.

Na true e no make sense for anyone to relax and trust news outlets just like that, there is this news I read wey and admin for one top exchange discord server got hacked and this hacker created a fake problem and sent link on the group claiming that’s how to solve that kin problem but the thing be say na phishing link wey the scammer sent. Even in a verified social media group we still go Dey careful.
