Reading this forum, I’ve noticed that many people here don’t really understand Bitcoin and are more into  “crypto” or blockchain projects. That’s why I want to recommend a few great books for anyone who truly wants to understand Bitcoin.

To really get Bitcoin, you need to understand money first. After reading these books, you’ll have a much deeper understanding of money, the current monetary system, and why Bitcoin is the most superior form of money in human history If you read these books carefully and with real understanding, you’ll definitely become a true Bitcoiner,Bitcoin maxi and “crypto” won’t interest you anymore.

Here are my recommendations:

Bitcoin Standard: The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking, written by well-known economist Saifedean Ammous, is not just about Bitcoin itself. In fact, most of the book focuses on the history of money, different forms of money through the ages, and how monetary systems have evolved. The book describes how and why money was created, what forms of money have existed throughout history, and how different types of money have shaped economies and societies.Only in the final chapters does the author shift the focus to Bitcoin, explaining why it represents a fundamentally new and superior form of money,a decentralized alternative to central banks. This book is essential reading for anyone who wants to truly understand Bitcoin

Fiat Standard: The Debt Slavery Alternative to Human Civilization, also written by economist Saifedean Ammous, is a deep dive into the workings and consequences of our current fiat monetary system. The book explains how fiat money is created, managed, and sustained,Ammous even draws a fascinating analogy between fiat and Bitcoin by asking who are the “miners” of fiat money, and how is fiat “mined” He reveals that, unlike Bitcoin’s transparent and predictable issuance by decentralized miners, fiat is “mined” by central banks and commercial banks through lending and debt creation, often at the expense of savers and ordinary people. In the final chapters, he compares the fiat system to Bitcoin, making a strong case for why Bitcoin offers a better, more transparent, and fair monetary alternative for the future.

Broken Money: Why Our Financial System is Failing Us and How We Can Make it Better, written by renowned macro analyst Lyn Alden, explores the history, technology, and evolution of money from ancient times to today’s digital age. The book explains why the current global monetary system is “broken” and how it fails to serve individuals and society as a wholeShe also explains how Bitcoin, as a fundamentally new monetary system, has the potential to address many of these problems and provide a more reliable, transparent, and fair alternative to central bank money.

I think that the charm of forum is that it’s free and it allows for discussions in the community so some newbies or anyone who wants to get into crypto more might go here instead of buying expensive books to read.

Good lists OP. Reading can be a good start. However, one thing I can assure you so we can truly understand bitcoin and money is through personal experience. Having a certain amount of bitcoin and money in your own account will make you recognize and appreciate more their real value and on how you can maximize their utility cases without you losing in the end.

And by that way, not only you will gain personal experience, but you will also become wiser in handling your own bitcoin and finances.

You can’t get the full picture just by reading through the forum, but you can check the replies to find book recommendations that help you really understand what Bitcoin is, or money in general.

As for me, my learning style is more on watching videos than reading books. And honestly, a lot of those books probably share similar content anyway. What’s important is fully understanding the basics of Bitcoin, and by basics, I don’t mean just definitions, but the core things every real Bitcoin enthusiast should know. Once you get that, you're good to go.

After reading, much better to trade on your own. Because reading won't give you first hand experience. It is always best to have an actual experience and not just because someone says it. The reality is - the experience will teach you a lot of things in handling your crypto and your money. No one can actually give you a very good lesson but yourself. You can read all the books or articles that you want, but try executing a trade for the first time and you will surely have the feeling of a first time, meaning, you have some sort of "nervousness" if the transaction will go thru or will it be successful and other in between emotions.

That should always be the case, just like when we study first before entering the workforce. It should be theory first, then application. That’s the proper flow. Relying on experience alone can slow down the learning process, especially if you don’t have a solid foundation.

That’s why books are important. They help us understand the right approach. And the more relevant books you read, the better you become, especially if you consistently apply what you’ve learned in real practice.

I am totally new in crypto world. I am very interested about Bitcoin. I am studying many things about Bitcoin. I am also learning a lot from this forum.

I was searching for a good book about Bitcoin and crypto for a long time. I also made a post in this site for that. Now suddenly I saw your topic and I feel really grateful to you. This will be very helpful for beginners like me.

If anyone can share PDF link of these two books, then it will be very helpful for me.

Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos is another highly recommended book to learn about BTC, you can add it to your list of books to read. If you are going to read books to understand BTC, then it would be better and quicker for you to also combine it with reading on the forum and discussing what you have learnt through your books, you should also practice what you have learnt, that's the best way to make it stick.

If you haven't read any of this books not even one then what have you been doing in the bitcoin space? because this are more like essentials to be more confident with bitcoin/digital gold.

However this books are in most stores, libraries and shopping malls in the book sections you can  easily access them online too or probably get them on Amazon.

Other centralized form of money has no price, can't be used as store of value, doesn't fluctuate but stable and I think that's the reasons it is centralized because whatever fluctuate is uneasy to control, and so fluctuation is caused by cause and effect, demand and supply, chaotic news and sudden natural disaster. If Bitcoin has seems to be supernatural form of money, then the need for global usage as one currency won't be possible because of it's fluctuative feature.

I am totally new in crypto world. I am very interested about Bitcoin. I am studying many things about Bitcoin. I am also learning a lot from this forum.

You can learn more about bitcoin here, because one of the major purpose for having us together here is to discuss bitcoin and there are many threads that have talked about bitcoin books with their recommendations and you could get more from using the forum search on related threads about books.

I was searching for a good book about Bitcoin and crypto for a long time.

There are some good online books that can give a person a proper understanding of Bitcoin and fiat currency. However, those who cannot identify the difference between digital currency and paper money will definitely learn more about the dangers of hard money inflation if they read the online books suggested above carefully. If you save paper money in Sara Jiban Bank, no matter how much benefit you get from that paper money, its value will gradually decrease over time. This is inflation. But since the supply of Bitcoin is limited, it is not affected by inflation. Moreover, the government of a country can increase the inflation rate by printing paper money at will. If you want to know that, then you can definitely read the suggested book below.

There are still some decent PDFs and information on the internet about Bitcoin and money too, the problem now is that people prefers watching videos that still pass the kind of knowledge that can be gotten from the books and PDFs that others read, while many have become too lazy to sit down and read but I think this recommended books of your would really help some of us that still have a long way to go about learning Bitcoin and money.

If you are just being realistic, you will discover a lot of interesting topics posted online. All you need is to invest your time and your patience on reading and comprehending it. Eventually, if you happen to read various articles, you will slowly understand the real concept between bitcoin and money, and how they can co-exist with each other.

Reality is, while reading can somehow make you knowledgeable, but watching educational videos as well create more interest and motivation. You need to see the real picture, so that you can perfectly envision those ideas and insights in your mind.
