DOGE supporters would disagree with you. Why? Because they don't really focus on making it the most profitable or the most professional looking cryptocurrency. They focus on making it popular by making it useful more and more each day. Something a lot of alt-coins haven't figured out how to do yet.
By making DOGE more useful, they have a clear line of sight in making it more into an actual currency than a store of wealth such as BTC and LTC. There aren't really any DOGE bagholders, because DOGE supporters use their coins, they don't store them and wait for the coins to become more valuable just to sell them for fiat.
Bang-on. There's one compelling advantage that DOGE has over all the other alts: they never forget what a cybercurrency is
for. Sure, they sometime come across as the Internet's answer to Jehovah's Witnesses to anyone uncharmed. But they, as a community, always keep their eye on the prize and will do almost anything
socially to get to the goal line. Sure, it makes them seem cloying sometimes, but changing society is always dirty-hands messy.
I know it's a little unfair of me to use this rule of thumb, but I tend to interpret hostility to Dogecoin as a sign that the disher-outer is someone who's gotten so wrapped up in the tech side of things that he's forgotten what the end game of cybers is supposed to be. After all, cybers won't be anything but a backwater
unless lots of people are brought in. Like the shibes or dislike 'em, they're still proven experts in the mass-adoption area.
You may honestly think that salespeople are grubby and sleazy, but salespeople still bring in $$$. You may think that the shibe community is a stupid and ignorant cult, but they're still reeling in lots of people. After a certain point, hatin' on Dogecoin turns into the kind of grousing that's the earmark of a sore loser. Sorry, but that's the way of the sad old world.
