I got my Coolmax ZU Series ZU-1000B 1000W PSU yesterday, and hooked it up to my 2 Antminer S1's. Everything seemed good. Then about an hour ago, I noticed my miners were offline. When checking the PSU, the fan was not moving. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and started it again, and jumped it (using a jumper wire). The fan moves maybe 1cm, then stops. If connected to antminer, it makes the antminer fan spin for a split second and then it stops. No other sound or movement from the PSU. I tried multiple sockets in my house, just because I have no other idea what to do. Should I just return it? Obviously I lose mining time and money by doing so.

Any help is DEEPLY appreciated! If you need more info, let me know.

If you are able to solve this for me and get it working without having to RMA it, I will reward you with a small tip. It won't be amazing, but I will do what I can based on the help provided.

I ended up sending it back through Amazon. I was able to borrow a friends 850w for a week. Thanks for the replies.

I was not overclocking whatsoever, and everything was running nice and cool. I don't think it is too much to power these, but I could be wrong. It has a single 12V Rail rated at 83 amps.

It is most likely the jumper wire is making poor contact. Oh and the caps will discharge - so it will make the fans move for a second.

For example. If you lose  power even for a split second with a jumped psu- you have to pull the jumper so it has a discharge. Then the PSU will restart

If the PSU comes on at all, then turns off it is still good.

After the fans move for that split second pull and reinsert the jumper. It will turn on

Your main problem is that you bought a Coolmax PSU. I had a 500W one a while back that could barely handle my 200-300W system.

Unless something at Coolmax has significantly changed recently, their supplies are garbage and are grossly mislabeled to get a quick sale.

I run two antminers on a 750W PSU for several months now with no issues.
